스핀드럼 시밍부의 기계적 프레스 접합강도 향상에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental study on Improvement of Mechanical Press-Joining Strength of the Spin Drum Seaming Division in Washing Machine)

  • There are being a lot of studies for achievement of high speed Dehydration, high-strength and Lightweight of washing machine in the latest washing machine business. It is essential that Press-joining Strength of Spin Drum Seaming division is improved .to attain that target. Generally, we are using Mechanical press-joining by Seaming and T.I.G (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding among part joint method. Mechanical press-joining method that is mainly using for Stainless Steel (STS430) Drum have lots of merit that consumption of energy is low more than welding and production costs cut down and generation of the corrosion is solved by removing weld zone defect and materials having different properties are enable to join without special equipment. But, it is difficult to realize joint strength required at high speed operation because joint strength of mechanical press-joining method is low remarkably in comparison with welding. Also, there are a lot of analysis difficulties and very limited research is under way due to the dynamic factor such as multistage plastic working, elastic recovery, residual stress etc. The results of this study show optimal joining condition for mechanical press-joining by performing lots of tensile joining strength test with various specimen under multi-change of important design factor such as seaming width, bead area and bead depth etc.

It is essential that strength of mechanical press-Joining (MPJ) for spin drum is improved to attain that target. MPJ of spin drum is composed of seaming and caulking process. Because Seaming process of MPJ has various design factors such as thickness, bending radius, seaming width, caulking press width and the dynamic factor such as multistage plastic working, elastic recovery, residual stress, the optimum conditions can't be easily determined. Using a design of experiment (DOE) based on the FEM (Finite Element Method), which has several advantages such as less computing, high accuracy performance and usefulness, this study was performed investigating the interaction effect between the various design factor as well as the main effect of the each design factor during drum MPJ and proposed optimum condition using center composition method among response surface derived from regression equation of simulation-based DOE.

원심력 필터 재생기능을 갖춘 오일 미스트 여과 집진장치 개발 (Development of an Oil Mist Collector Equipped with Centrifugal De-oiling System)

  • Health effects associated with metal working fluid (MWF) exposures include dermatitis, respiratory disease, hypersensitive pneumonitis, and asthma. Frequently, occupational exposures to MWFs are controlled by ventilating an enclosure with an air cleaning unit that includes a fan preceded by various kinds of filtration. There are several kinds of air cleaning units used in machining centers. But the associated troubles have hindered from efficiently using these devices. The main problem is the relatively short period of filter replacement. The reason is that the air cleaning units usually do not have the de-oiling systems, thus leading the earlier clogging of filters and reducing the flow rate of hood. Thus, the first stage of study was conducted to overcome this problem by developing the new oil mist collector equipped with the easy de-oiling system. The principle of de-oiling is that the centrifugal force generated by spinning the drum covered by filter fabric separates oils from the filter fabric. It would be very similar to the spin-dry laundry. By adopting this de-oiling technique, the problems associated with the conventional oil mist collectors could be solved. Several tests/analyses were performed to make the lab-scale oil mist collector. The collection efficiencies and the de-oiling efficiencies of commercially available filter fabrics were tested. Subsequently, the endurance test were conducted by observing SEM photos of filter fabrics and measuring tensile strength/expansion coefficient after spinning the filter drum for 20 minutes at the different rotation speeds. By doing these experiments, the most appropriate filter fabric and rotation speed/duration were selected. Finally, the new oil mist collector was designed. In the near future, this device must be tested in the real machining center.

드럼세탁기의 감성품질 측정 시스템 (The Emotional Sensibility Estimation System for Front-load Washer)

  • 도어락 스위치(Door-lock switch)는 드럼세탁기, 식기 세척기 등 회전이나 열이 발생되어 작동 할 때 임의로 열지 못하도록 하는 가전제품에 쓰이는 도어 안전잠금장치로 드럼세탁기에서는 없어서는 안 되는 중요한 부품 중의 하나이다. 드럼 세탁기 도어는 소비자가 사용 할 때 느낌을 가지는 부분으로 항상 안전성과 동시에 감성이 뒤따르는 부품이기도 하다. 본 논문은 드럼세탁기의 도어에 감성과 관련된 요소들을 조사하였으며, 도어락 스위치의 기구적인 구조들을 파악한 뒤 드럼세탁기에 장착하였을 때 열림력, 닫힘력을 측정할 수 있는 지그와 소프트웨어를 제작하고 측정한 힘의 그래프를 분석하여 사용자에 의해 평가한 후, 드럼세탁기 도어락 스위치의 구조에 따른 감성에 차이점을 찾아보고 시스템의 사용을 검증하였다.
