고속 영구자석 동기전동기 구동장치의 홀센서 고장검출 및 보호제어 (Hall Sensor Fault Detection and Fault-Tolerant Control of High-Speed PMSM Drive System)

  • This paper presents a novel hall sensor fault detection and fault-tolerant control method for a high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive system. A phase locked loop (PLL) type position estimator is used with a conventional interpolation based rotor position estimator to reduce position errors due to misalignment of hall sensors. The expected trigger time of hall sensor's output is used for detecting hall sensor fault condition and the PLL type position estimator is reconfigured for fault-tolerant control at the hall sensor fault condition. The proposed method can minimize current ripples during the transition from sensored control using hall sensors to sensorless control. Experimental results have been proposed to prove the validity of the proposed method.

  • This paper is focused on practical applicability of the optical fiber sensor considering the machine center which is going to use them. Optical fibers may be fluctuated because the machine center operates as column moving type. This causes distortion of the sensor output signal. To reduce this problem, we have improved the sensor structure and its bracket. And we evaluated performances of the sensor.

  • This paper proposes a new operation and control strategy for Power-Assisted Wheelchairs (PAW) using one brushless DC (BLDC) motor. The conventional electrical wheelchairs are too heavy and large for one person to move because they have two electric motor wheels. On the other hand, the proposed PAW system has a small volume and is easy to move due to the presence of a single wheel motor. Unlike the conventional electric wheelchairs, this structure for a PAW does not have a control joystick to reduce its weight and volume. To control the wheelchair without a joystick, a special control system and algorithm are needed for proper operation of the wheelchair. In the proposed PAW system uses only one sensor to detect the acceleration and direction of PAW's movement. By using this sensor, speed control can be achieved. With a speed control system, there are three kinds of operations that can be done on the speed of a PAW: the increment of PAW speed by summing external force, the decrement of PAW speed by subtracting external force, and emergency breaking by evaluating the time duration of external force. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified through experimental results.

  • 현재 SAW 센서는 많은 발전을 해왔고 온도나 압력용 SAW 센서를 저전력, 고속 신호 처리로 하기 위해서는 TDS(Time Domain Sampling) 방식을 이용한 리더기 플랫폼이 필요하다. 이러한 리더기를 제작하기 위해서는 SAW 센서의 표준 응답신호와의 변화된 응답시간과의 짧은 시간차를 측정하기 위해 고속의 타이머가 필요하게 된다. 여기서 제안하는 플랫폼은 SAW 센서에 신호를 받아서 비교기로 아날로그 신호를 디지털 신호로 전환하여 그 전환된 신호를 타이머 모듈에서 읽어 들여 신호들의 시간차를 측정하여 표시하여 나노초(Nano Second) 단위의 시간을 측정하는 방법을 제안 하고자 한다.

Parabolic Dish형 태양열 집열기를 위한 2축 태양추적장치의 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Two Axes Sun Tracking System for the Parabolic Dish Concentrator)

  • The work presented here is a design and development of sun tracking system for the parabolic dish concentrator. Parabolic dish concentrator is mounted on azimuth and elevation tracking mechanism, and controlled to track the sun with computed and measured sun positions. Sun tracking mechanism is composed of 1/30000 speed reducer(3 stages) and 400W AC servomotor for each axis. The nominal tracking speed of each axis is ${\pm}0.6^{\circ}/sec$ and the system has a driving range of $340^{\circ}$ in azimuth and of $135^{\circ}$ in elevation. Sun tracking control system consists of sun sensor, wind speed and direction measurement system, AC servomotor position control system and personal computer as a master controller. Sun sensor detects the sun located within ${\pm}50^{\circ}$ measured from the sun sensor normal direction. Computer computes the sun position, sunrise and sunset times and controls the orientation of parabolic dish concentrator through the AC servomotor position control system. It also makes a decision of whether the system should follow the sun or not based on the information collected from sun sensor and wind speed and direction measurement system. The sun tracking system developed in this work is implemented for the experimental work and shows a good sun tracking performance.

  • 본 논문에서는 차량 어플리케이션에서 디지털 센서 데이터를 직렬 전송하는 기술 표준인 SAE J2716 SENT(Single Edge Nibble Transmission) 프로토콜을 소개하고 분석하였다. SENT는 하나의 데이터 프레임으로 고속 센서 데이터와 저속 센서 데이터를 함께 전송할 수 있으며 고속 채널 3개 모드, 저속 채널 3개 모드, 총 6개의 전송 모드를 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SENT 프로토콜의 6개 모드를 모두 지원하는 SENT 컨트롤러를 Verilog HDL로 설계하고 FPGA로 구현하였으며 오실로스코프와 PC로 동작을 검증하였다.

  • Until now, a study on a ubiquitous sensor network has been mainly concentrated in the areas of sensor nodes, and as a results, technologies related with sensor node were greatly developed. Despite of many achievements on research and development for a sensor node, a ubiquitous sensor network may failed to establish the actual service environment because variety of restrictions. In order to provide a actual service using a ubiquitous sensor networks applied to many results on research and development for a sensor nodes, a study on a wired/wireless composite router must be carried out. However a study on a wired/wireless composite router is relatively very slow compared with the sensor node. In this study, developed a high-performance router platform supporting IPv6 that can provide high-speed wired/wireless interface and QoS, and it can provide the multimedia service Interlocking the wireless sensor network and the Internet network. To analysis a given network environment and to develop the appropriate hardware and software in accordance with this requirement.

  • In this paper, closed loop V/f control of induction motor has been implemented by the estimated speed. Closed loop V/f control improve the performance of induction motor drive system at low speed compared to open loop V/f control. However, closed loop V/f control need speed sensor. By using the estimated speed, closed loop V/f control is possible without speed sensor. Rotor speed is calculated from the difference between synchronous frequency and slip angular frequency. 3-phase voltage reference is obtained from synchronous frequency. And the PWM technique using space vector PWM is applied in this scheme. In the space vector PWM, effective time of 3-phase voltage reference is used to simplify the calculation of effective voltage time. This scheme is simple to implement and one chip microprocessor was used in experimental system.

5륜을 이용한 주행 속도 비례형 파종축 구동 장치 개발 (Development of a Feed Shaft Driving System for Planters Using the Fifth Wheel as a Speed Sensor)

  • In order to maintain a constant speed ratio between the tractor and attached seed planter, a feedback control unit to rotate the feed shaft of the planter in proportional to the ground speed of the tractor was designed. The fifth wheel was used as a ground speed sensor for the unit. Using this control unit a feed shaft driving system was developed and tested to estimate its performance both in laboratory and fields. The test results showed that the system rotates the feed shaft proportionally to the ground speed in the range of the normal planting speed of 0.5-0.8m/s with errors less than 5%.

그래픽 프로그래밍 기법을 이용한 주축용 유도전동기의 속도 센서리스 토크감시 (Speed Sensorless Torque Monitoring of Induction Spindle Motor using Graphical Programming)

  • To monitor the torque of an induction motor using current, rotating speed has been measured and used to calculate the slip angular velocity. Additional sensor, however, can cause extra expense and trouble. In this paper, a new algorithm is proposed to monitor the torque of vector controlled induction motor without any speed measuring sensor. Only stator current is measured to estimate the magnetizing current which is used to calculate flux linkage, rotor velocity and motor torque. Graphical programming is used to implement the suggested algorithm and to monitor the torque of an induction motor in real time. To solve the fluctuation problem of estimated torque caused from instantly varying rotating speed of an induction motor, the rotating speed is reconstructed based on the measured current signals. From several experiments, the proposed method shows a good estimation of the motor torque under the normal rotational speed.
