고속열차의 주행동특성 개선에 관한 연구 (A study on the Dynamic Behavior Enhancement of the Korean High-speed Train)

  • 본 연구는 고속열차 시운전 시험과 이에 따른 주행동특성 고찰 및 개선에 관한 것이다. 고속열차 시운전 시험을 통한 선행 연구에서 도출한 요댐퍼 설치 방법에 따른 후미 진동 개선 방안을 실제 고속철도 차량의 시운전시에 적용하여 후미 진동 저감 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 전체 차량에 대한 진동저감 방안을 동역학 해석 소프트웨어를 사용하여 수치 해석적 방법으로 도출하였으며, 그 효과를 시운전 시험을 통하여 확인하였다. 개선된 설계안은 실제 2층 고속열차 객차에 적용되어 주행동특성 문제없이 시운전을 진행하였다. 차세대 고속열차 임계속도에 영향을 미치는 현가장치 파라미터들에 대한 민감도 분석을 수행하였으며, 임계속도에 크게 영향을 미치는 4개의 설계변수를 도출하였는데, 이는 1차 탄성조인트 열차진행 방향 강성, 2차 요댐퍼 시리즈 강성, 2차 횡댐퍼 댐핑계수, 차간 댐퍼 댐핑계수 순이었다. 이 설계변수에 대한 최적화를 통하여 임계속도를 23.3% 향상시키는 현가장치 파라미터를 제시하였으며, 이는 차세대 고속열차 상용화 모델의 설계에 이용될 수 있다.

  • 본 논문은 기존 CMA (Constant Modulus Algorithm) 적응 등화기의 성능인 수렴 특성과 잔류 부호간 간섭을 개선하기위하여 Coordinate Reduction을 적용한 CR(Coordinate Reduction)-CMA에대한 관한 것이다. 송신 시스템과 수신 시스템을 연결하는 무선과 유선의 대역 제한 채널에서 발생되는 부호간 간섭에의한 찌그러짐을 줄이기 위하여 등화기가 사용되며, 이의 대표적인 알고리즘으로는 CMA가 널리 알려져 있다. 이와같은 채널을 통하여 대량의 정보를 고속으로 전송하기 위해서는 등화에 필요한 오버헤드를 최소화할 수 있는 빠른 수렴 속도가 요구된다. 논문에서는 등화기 입력단에서 정상 등화 상태에서 오차를 주이는 수신 신호의 Coordinate를 reduce하는 새로운 비용 함수를 도입하였다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안한 알고리즘이 기존 CMA 보다 빠른 수렴 속도와 적은 잔류 부호간 간섭양을 가짐을 확인할 수 있었다.

Assessment of the Particulate Matter Reduction Potential of Climbing Plants on Green Walls for Air Quality Management

  • Background and objective: To improve air quality, particulate matter (PM) can be reduced using green infrastructure. Therefore, in this study, we aimed to determine the particulate matter reduction potential of climbing plants used for green walls, an element of vertical green infrastructure. Methods: A sealed chamber with controlled environmental variables was used to assess the PM reduction level caused by climbing plants. PM concentration in the plant chamber was measured after two and four hours of PM exposure, and the reduction potential was assessed based on the leaf area. Results: Compared to the empty chamber (Control), the PM reduction speed per hour was higher in the plant chamber, which confirmed that climbing plants contribute to the reduction of PM in the air. The PM reduction speed immediately after exposure in the plant chamber was high, but this slowed over time. Additionally, PM has been continuously reduced in plants with large leaves. As a result of calculating the particulate matter reduction level based on leaf area, it was found that there was a difference by particle size. Actinidia arguta, Parthenocissus tricuspidata, Trachelospermum asiaticum, and Euonymus fortunei var. radicans showed a high reduction effect. The trichomes on the leaf surface of Trachelospermum asiaticum were found to affect PM reduction. Conclusion: PM adsorption on the leaf surface is an important factor in reducing its concentration. It was possible to compare different plants by quantifying the amount of PM reduction during a fixed time period. These results can be used as the basic data to select the plant species suitable for urban green walls in terms of PM reduction.

고속열차의 풍압 및 교행에 의한 주행안정성 연구 (A Study on the Running Stability of the High-speed Train by Wind Pressure and Crossing)

  • 본 연구는 고속열차가 개활지와 터널을 운행할 때, 풍압과 교행 등에 의한 외력이 차량에 가해질 때 고속열차의 주행안정성에 대해 고찰하기 위하여 진행되었다. 고속열차 교행에 의한 외력이 없을 때, 400 km/h 속도로 주행 시 8량 1편성의 고속열차의 주행안정성을 검토한 결과 윤중 감소량, 횡압, 탈선계수는 국내 법규인 고속철도차량 기술기준의 주행 안전 부분을 만족하였다. 선로중심 간격 4.6 m일 경우 터널 내, 개활지 강풍이 없을 때 고속열차 교행에 의한 외력의 영향은 차체의 횡가속도에 조금 영향을 주나 윤중 감소율, 횡압, 탈선계수에는 크게 영향이 없고, 고속철도차량 기술 기준에서 허용하는 기준치 이내였다. 선로중심 간격이 4.6~5.0 m이고, 열차가 400 km/h로 주행 시 개활지 강풍 20 m/s 및 교행에 의한 외력이 있을 때 윤중 감소율, 횡압 및 탈선계수는 허용치 이내이고, 강풍 30 m/s 및 교행에 의한 외력이 있을 때 윤중 감소율 및 횡압은 허용치를 초과하고, 탈선계수는 허용치 이내였다. 이 결과로 400 km/h급 고속열차는 풍속이 20 m/s 정도까지 안전하게 운행할 수 있으며, 풍속이 30 m/s에서는 감속 운행이 이루어져야 할 것으로 예측되었다.

  • 본 연구는 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 속도감속 노면표시 유형별로 감속 효과가 어느 정도인지에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해서 20~70대의 다양한 연령층으로 구성한 41명이 실험에 참여하였다. 구간별 기법에 따른 속도현황을 살펴보면, 노면표시 시작지점 및 곡선시작점에서 Peripheral Transverse Line II의 속도 감속효과가 가장 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 도로이용자의 인간공학적 고려 요소를 바탕으로 운전자 시각특성을 고려한 감속유도기법 개발에 있어서 그 효과를 검증했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 향후 연구로는 감속유도 노면표시가 장기적으로 운전자에게 효과적인지에 대한 검증이 필요하며, 색의 대비(예 : 흰색 노면표시에 검은색 아스팔트)에 따른 속도감속 효과가 있는지에 대한 연구도 필요하다.

고속도로의 합류구간내 속도변화 추정모형 구축에 관한 연구 (Constructing the Models Estimated for Speed Variation on the Merge Section in the Freeway)

  • Congestion and traffic accidents occur on the merge and diverge sections in the interchange of the freeway. Studies have been conducted to reduce the traffic delay and accidents on the merge section in the freeway since 1960s. but a study was not conducted to estimate the speed variation on the merge section construct models estimated for the speed variation and suggest the appropriate measures. The purpose of this study was to identify the traffic flow characteristics on the merge section in the freeway construct the models estimated for the speed variation on the merge section in the freeway and finally establish the appropriate measure for reduction of traffic delay and accidents on the merge section in the freeway. The following results were obtained: I) Speed variations in the urban freeway appeared to be about 3.2mph, 6.5mph and 7.4mph based on the morning peak period, afternoon peak period and 24-hours period but those in the suburban freeway appeared to be about 8.0mph, 11.1mph and 10.1mph based on the same periods respectively. So different speed reduction signs need be installed to reduce delay and accidents on the merge section in the freeway based on the areas and periods as the freeway traffic management system(FTMS). ii) These models estimated for speed variation need to be studied with the changeable message sign(CMS) technique based on the real-time data so that the traffic flow could be maximized and the traffic delay and accidents be on the merge section in the freeway as more efficient freeway traffic management system(FTMS) in the near future.

Work load analysis for determination of the reduction gear ratio for a 78 kW all wheel drive electric tractor design

  • The purpose of this study was to design a powertrain for a 78 kW AWD (all wheel drive) electric tractor by analyzing the combination of various reduction gear ratios on a commercial motor using data from actual agricultural work and driving conditions. A load measurement system was constructed to collect data using wheel torque meters, proximity sensors, and a data acquisition system. Field experiments for measuring load data were performed for two environmental driving conditions (on asphalt and soil) and four agricultural operations (plow tillage, rotary tillage, loader operation, and baler operation). The attached implements and gear stages were selected through farmer surveys. The range of the reduction ratio was determined by selecting the minimum reduction ratio needed to satisfy the torque condition required for agricultural operations and the maximum reduction gear ratio to satisfy the maximum travel speed. The minimum reduction gear ratio selected was 57 in consideration of the working load condition and the maximum reduction gear ratio selected was 62 considering the maximum running speed. In the range of the reduction gear ratio 57 - 62, the selected motor satisfied all working torque conditions. As a result, the combination of the selected motor and reduction gear ratio was applicable for satisfying the loads required during agricultural operation and driving operation.

NREL 5MW 풍력터빈의 제어시스템 설계 (Control System Design of NREL 5MW Wind Turbine)

  • This paper introduces a methodology for NREL 5MW wind turbine, which is the variable speed and variable pitch(VSVP) control system. This control strategy maximizes the power extraction capability from the wind in the low wind speed region and regulates the wind turbine power as the rated one for the high wind speed region. Also, pitch control efficiency is raised by using pitch scheduling.Torque schedule is made of torque table depending on the rotor speed. Torque control is used for vertical region in a torque-rotor speed chart. In addition to these, mechanical loads reduction using a drive train damper and exclusion zone on a torque schedule is tried. The NREL 5MW wind turbine control strategy is comprised by the generator torque and blade pitch control. Finally, proposed control system is verified through GH Bladed simulation.

유연 혈관에서 유체-고체 상호작용에 대한 유한요소 해석 (Finite element analysis of the fluid-structure interaction in a compliant vessel)

  • Flow through compliant tubes with linear taper in wall thickness is numerically simulated by finite element analysis. Two models are examined: a planar two-dimensional channel, and an axisymmetric tube. For verification of the numerical method, flow through a compliant stenotic vessel is simulated and compared to existing experimental data. Computational results for an axisymmetric tube show that as cross-sectional area falls with a reduction in downstream pressure, flow rate increases and reaches a maximum when the speed index (mean velocity divided by wave speed) is near unity at the point of minimum cross-section area, indicative of wave speed flow limitation or "choking" (flow speed equals wave speed) in previous one-dimensional studies. For further reductions in downstream pressure, flow rate decreases. Cross-sectional narrowing is significant but localized. When the ratio of downstream-to-upstream wall thickness is ${\le}$ 2 the area throat is located near the downstream end; as wall taper is increased to ${\ge}$ 3 the constriction moves to the upstream end of the tube. In the planar two-dimensional channel, area reduction and flow limitation are also observed when outlet pressure is decreased. In contrast to the axisymmetric case, however, the elastic wall in the two-dimensional channel forms a smooth concave surface with the area throat located near the mid-point of the elastic wall. Though flow rate reaches a maximum and then falls, the flow does not appear to be choked.

Development of Dual Beam High Speed Doppler OFDI

  • This paper describes development of a high speed Doppler OFDI system for non-invasive vascular imaging. Doppler OFDI (optical frequency domain imaging) is one of the phase-resolved second generation OCT (optical coherence tomography) techniques for high resolution imaging of moving elements in biological tissues. To achieve a phase-resolved imaging, two temporally separated measurements are required. In a conventional Doppler OCT, a pair of massively oversampled successive A-lines is used to minimize de-correlation noise at the expense of significant imaging speed reduction. To minimize a de-correlation noise between targeted two measurements without suffering from significant imaging speed reduction, several methods have been developed such as an optimized scanning pattern and polarization multiplexed dual beam scanning. This research represent novel imaging technique using frequency multiplexed dual beam illumination to measure exactly same position with aimed time interval. Developed system has been verified using a tissue phantom and mouse vessel imaging.
