Miscibility improvement between polypropylene(PP) and ethylene-propylene-diene-terpolymer (EPDM) was studied by introducing specific interaction into both polymers. PP was modified by grafting maleic anhydride(MAH) onto backbone, leading to MAH-grafted PP(PP-g-MAH). Sulfonated EPDM ionomer neutralized with bivalent zinc cation(ZnSEPDM) was used as one component. The blends of PP-g-MAH and ZnSEPDM were prepared at $200^{\circ}C$ in Brabender Roller Mixer. Fourier transform-infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopic and dynamic mechanical studies have been performed to investigate the miscibility. FT-IR spectral peak corresponding to carbonyl group in PP-g-MAH and that to sulfonate group in ZnSEPDM were shifted to lower and higher frequency with increasing ZnSEPDM content, respectively, in the blends. Glass transition temperature of ZnSEPDM was increased up to 70wt.% of ZnSEPDM, and again decreased above 70wt.%. It can be concluded from the shift of FT-IR characteristic peaks and the changes of glass transition temperatures that the miscibility between PP and EPDM was improved via introducing specific interaction, i.e., dipole-ion interaction.
The (Na,K)ATPase is responsible for generating the ionic gradients and membrane potentials by the exchange of intracellular $Na^+$ for $K^+$. It has been recentl y shown that (Na,K)ATPase is involved in the exocytic pathway of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), although it is not known that bFGF is secreted to the outside of cell through direct interaction with (Na,K) ATPase. To understand the role for (Na,K)ATPase in the secretary pathway of bFGF, we have sought to identify the cytoplasmic domains of the alpha1 isoform of (Na,K)ATPase interacting with bFGF by yeast two-hybrid system. We have also investigated the interaction between the alpha2 isoform of (Na,K)ATPase and bFGF to find out whether the interaction is isoform-specific. We found that none of the cytoplasmic domains of (Na,K)ATPase isoforms interacted with bFGF. The result suggests that the interaction between bFGF and (Na,K)ATPase might be indirect, thus requiring other proteins which are involved in the formation of protein complexes for the interaction, although we cannot exclude the possibility that the interaction requires the element of the whole alpha subunit structure that was not present in the isolated alpha subunit cytoplasmic domains.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of preschooler's temperament on peer play activity, focusing on the mediation of mothers' social interaction parenting behaviors Methods: 1695 mothers of preschoolers completed questionnaires on children's temperament and peer play behaviors, and mothers' parenting behaviors. Data were analyzed by regression analyses by SPSS 18.0. Results: First, preschoolers' sociability exerted positive effects on good peer play behaviors(play interaction) and negative effects on the bad peer play behaviors (disruption, disconnection) and both were partially mediated by mothers' social interaction parenting behaviors. Second, preschoolers' emotionality exerted negative effects on good peer play behaviors and positive effects on the bad peer play behaviors and both were partially mediated by mothers' social interaction parenting behaviors. Preschoolers' activity exerted positive effects on good peer play behaviors and negative effects on the bad peer play behaviors and both were partially mediated by mothers' social interaction parenting behaviors. Conclusion/Implications: These findings provide preliminary evidence that mothers' social interaction parenting behavior partially mediate the effects of preschoolers' temperament on peer play behaviors. Implications for the use of intervention targeting specific temperament have been discussed.

Purpose: This study investigates patterns of small group interaction and examines the influence among graduate nursing students of online collaborative learning strategies on small group interaction patterns, task performance and learning attitude in web-based team learning environments. Method: To analyze patterns of small group interaction, group discussion dialogues were reviewed by two instructors. Groups were divided into two categories depending on the type of feedback given (passive or active). For task performance, evaluation of learning processes and numbers of postings were examined. Learning attitude toward group study and coursework were measured via scales. Results: Explorative interactions were still low among graduate nursing students. Among the students given active feedback, considerable individual variability in interaction frequency was revealed and some students did not show any specific type of interaction pattern. Whether given active or passive feedback, groups exhibited no significant differences in terms of task performance and learning attitude. Also, frequent group interaction was significantly related to greater task performance. Conclusion: Active feedback strategies should be modified to improve task performance and learning attitude among graduate nursing students.
In this paper, we represent the recognition method for human frontal upper body pose. In HCI(Human Computer Interaction) and HRI(Human Robot Interaction) when a interaction is established the human has usually frontal direction to the robot or computer and use hand gestures then we decide to focus on human frontal upper-body pose, The two main difficulties are firstly human pose is consist of many parts which cause high DOF(Degree Of Freedom) then the modeling of human pose is difficult. Secondly the matching between image features and modeling information is difficult. Then using Pictorial Model we model the human main poses which are mainly took the space of frontal upper-body poses and we recognize the main poses by making main pose database. using determined main pose we used the model parameters for particle filter which predicts the posterior distribution for pose parameters and can determine more specific pose by updating model parameters from the particle having the maximum likelihood. Therefore based on recognizing main poses and tracking the specific pose we recognize the human frontal upper body poses.
Interactive space became one of the major design paradigms. For elevating the interactive effect, we need user-centered design methodology which uses the influential factors on the interactivity. This research is the first one of three linked- studies and categorizes the three main factors on the interactivity-Interface /Intersubject/Interaction. 'Interface' is the field for the interactivity. It will be the main subject for the second study. 'Intersubject' is the performer for the interactivity. Its specific attributes are analyzed in terms of user's needs for interactivity and six subdivisions are analyzed-functional & artistic need /external & subconscious need/info-communication & sympathy need. 'Interaction' is the performance for the interactivity. Its specific attributes are discussed in terms of behavioral interactive process and again sixsub-steps are analyzed-junction/immersion/ mental model/action/transformation/neo-experience.
Mobility passengers with over four levels of autonomous driving are more likely to feel carsickness because they do not drive independently. Therefore study on how to prevent or mitigate carsickness are needed to ensure comfortable and productive moving experience of passengers. Therefore this study looked into prior researches on the causes and solutions of carsickness and conducted a survey on the specific situation of carsickness among the general public. Based on this preliminary study the four interaction guide lines for preventing and mitigating of carsickness were designed and validated by performing a CVT (Concept value test). The study have shown that people prefer auditory sense and somatic senses for response in carsickness. These current have been similar in CVT and I believe that specific interaction design proposals and validations will be needed in the future.
Path of a small hydrophobic molecule through the aqueous cytoplasma is not linear. Partition may favor membrane binding by several orders of magnitude : thus significant membrane association will markedly decrease the cytosolic transport rate. The presence of high concentration of soluble binding proteins for these hydrophobic molecules would compete with membrane association and thereby increase transport rate. For long chain fatty acid molecules, a family of cytosolic binding proteins collectively known as the fatty acid binding proteins(FABP), are thought to act as intracellular transport proteins. This paper examines the mechanism of transfer of fluorescent antyroyloxy-labeled fatty acids(AOFA) from purified FABPs to phosholipid membranes. With the exception of the liver FABP, AOFA is transferred from FABP by collisional interaction of the protein with a acceptor membrane. The rate of transfer increased markedly when membranes contain anionic phospholipids. This suggests that positively charged residues on the surface of the FABP may interact with the membranes. Neutralization of the surface lysine residues of adipocyte FABP decreased fatty acid transfer rate, and transfer was found to proceed via aqueous diffusion rather than collisional interaction. Site specific mutagenesis has further shown that the helix-turn-helix domain of the FABP is critical for interaction with anionic acceptor membranes. Thus cytosolic FABP may function in intracellular transport of fatty acid to decrease their membranes association as well as to target fatty acid to specific subcellular sites of utilization.
This study was conducted to analyze the effects of genotypes, environments and interaction of G$\times$E on yields of sesame grown in seven different environments by AMMI analysis. Environments accounted for the largest (91 %) proportion of the sums of squares, followed by G$\times$E (8%) and genotypes (1%) Therefore, G$\times$E effects are theoretically eight times as important as G effects. G2 (Yanghukkae) has the largest IPCAI scores indicating higher G$\times$E interaction. G3 (Suwon 171) was near zero score of IPCAI suggesting higher stability than others in yield component. Most of environments except for Iksan area shows different G$\times$E effects by years, which means Iksan is optimal area for multi-environmental adaptation evaluation in sesame breeding programs. According to this experiment, it is concluded that maximization of grain yield through environments can be achieved by specific genotypes in specific environments.
Yeast alcohol dehydrogenates and ginseng saponin interaction has been investigated to understand the non-specific enzyme stimulating effect of the saponin of Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer. It was confirmed that several amphiphiles such as sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS), Triton X-100, sodium taurodeoxycholate (Na-TDC) as well as ginseng saponin mixture and purified ginseng glycosides lowered Km values of yeast alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) for ethanol and NAD in the presence of the above amphiphiles suggesting that the surface activity of the amphiphiles might play a significant role in the ADH catalyzed reactions. Conformational change of yeast alcohol dehydrogenase in the presence of the above amphiphiles at their optimal concentration for the maximum activity was studied. Circular dichroism (C.D) spectrum of yeast ADH showed that the conformational change of the enzyme occurred in the presence of above amphiphiles. Fluorescence data also showed that the hydrophobic area increased in the presence of above amphiphiles. Examination of the interaction between ADH and ginseng saponin using radioactive saponin showed that there might be a very weak interaction between them. From the above results, it was concluded that the non-specific enzyme stimulating effect of the saponin might be due to the change of polarity of the enzyme solution in the presence of the saponin.
