폐타이어를 이용한 목질고무 복합패널의 물성에 관한 연구 - 원료혼합비율에 따른 복합패널의 재질변화 - (Studies on Physical Properties of Wood-based Composite Panel with Recycled Tire Chip - Change of Properties on Composite Panel by Mixing Ratio of Combined Materials -)

  • In this paper, the relationships between volumetric mixing ratio of rubber chip and physical and mechanical properties of wood/rubber composite panel was examined in order to investigate the mixture characteristics of wood and rubber chip. Because of the specific gravity of rubber differed from wood chip, physical properties of wood/rubber composite panel was shown very different values by mixing rate of chip element. Specific gravity in air-dry of composite panel was increased rapidly as volumetric percent of rubber chip was increased. Moisture content of composite panel was decreased as volumetric percent of rubber chip element was increased. This results was considered that wood weight is light and porosity material for moisture absorption. Compressive strength and modulus of rupture in bending test were decreased as volumetric percent of rubber chip increased. By mixing ratio control of chip elements, various wood/rubber composite panel can be applicable to every interior materials such as subfloor, playground, and exterior materials such as road blocks for recreational facilities in garden and forest and city parks.

급랭 진로슬래그 모르타르 골재 재활용 특성 (Recycling of Chilled Converter Slag as Aggregate in Cement Mortar)

  • 본 연구에서는 용융 전로슬래그를 고속의 공기를 이용하여 급랭한 전로슬래그의 골제 특성을 조사하고 이를 잔골재로 재활용한 모르타르의 특성을 분석하였다. 급랭전로슬래그의 입자형태는 구형이었으며 냉각 속도의 차이로 인해 표면층과 내부층 그리고 외부와 연결된 공동을 가지고 있었다. 표준사를 구형 급랭전로슬래그로 대체한 혼합 잔골재의 특성을 분석한 결과 대체 비율이 증가하면서 비중, 단위용적중량 그리고 조립율이 증가하였으며 실적률은 대체 비율 75%에서 최대를 나타내었다. 흡수율은 대체 비율 50%에서 최소값을 보였다. 혼합 잔골재의 구형 급랭전로슬래그 대체 비율이 증가할수록 굳지 않은 모르타르의 유동성이 증가하여 동일한 플로우값을 얻기 위한 물/시멘트 비는 감소하였다. 구형 급랭전로슬래그 대체 비율이 증가할수록 양생한 모르타르 시편의 조직은 치밀하였으며 비중은 증가하였다. 압축강도의 경우는 대체율 75%에서 최대값을 보였다.

  • With the advances in recent nanotechnology, mass transport phenomena have been receiving large attention both in academic researches and industrial applications. Nonetheless, it is not clearly determined which parameters are dominant at nanoscale mass transport. Especially, membrane is a kind of technology that use a selective separation to secure fresh water. The development of great separation membrane and membrane-based separation system is an important way to solve existing water resource problems. In this study, glass fiber-based membranes which are treated by graphene oxide (GO), poly-styrene sulfonate (GOP) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (GPS) were fabricated. Mass transport parameters were investigated in terms of material-specific and structure-specific dominance. The 3D structural information of GO, GOP, and GPS was obtained by using synchrotron X-ray nano tomography. In addition, electrostatic characteristic and water absorption rate of the membranes were investigated. As a result, we calculated internal structural information using Tomadakis-Sotrichos model, and we found that manipulation of surface characteristics can improve spacer arm effect, which means enhancement of water permeability by control length of ligand and surface charge functionality of the membrane.

Is the SAM phantom conservative for SAR evaluation of all phone designs?

  • The specific anthropomorphic mannequin (SAM) phantom was designed to provide a conservative estimation of the actual peak spatial specific absorption rate (SAR) of the electromagnetic field radiated from mobile phones. However, most researches on the SAM phantom have been based on early phone models. Therefore, we numerically analyze the SAM phantom to determine whether it is sufficiently conservative for various types of mobile phone models. The peak spatial 1- and 10-g averaged SAR values of the SAM phantom are numerically compared with those of four anatomical head models at different ages for 12 different mobile phone models (a total of 240 different configurations of mobile phones, head models, frequencies, positions, and sides of the head). The results demonstrate that the SAM phantom provides a conservative estimation of the SAR for only mobile phones with an antenna on top of the phone body and does not ensure such estimation for other types of phones, including those equipped with integrated antennas in the microphone position, which currently occupy the largest market share.

  • SAR(Specific Absorption Rate: 전자파 흡수율)이란 생체조직이 단위 질량당 흡수하는 전력(W/kg)으로 ICNIRP(International Commission on Non-ionizing Radiation Protection: 국제비전리방사위원회)국제 규격에서는 10 g평균 첨두 SAR 값을 인체 전신 및 국부(두부 및 몸통)에 대해 각각 0.08 W/kg과 2 W/kg으로 규정하고 있고, 미국의 FCC 규격에서는 국부노출의 경우 1 g 평균 첨두 SAR 값을 1.6 W/kg 값으로 제한하고 있다.   • A variety of wireless devices are commercially available now. Most of studies, however, have been directed to the biological effects of mobile-phone EMF. In this study, dosimetric analysis for wireless devices of head-mounted display type and a wristwatch type were made to investigate possible biological effects of these devices. SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) distributions were calculated using FDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain) method, for adult human models such as standard Korean human model and VHP(Visible Human Project) model, as well as scaled models. Measurements were also performed for SAM phantom wearing a simplified prototype for a wireless device for validation of the simulation results. It has been found that children are more vulnerable to such exposure, and these devices could cause some biological effects for relatively lower power compared to conventional mobile pones.

FDTD를 이용한 인체 두부모델의 SAR 분포특성 해석 (Analysis of SAR Distribution Characteristics in a Head Model using FDTD)

  • This paper presents an analysis of SAR(Specific Absorption Rate) distribution characteristics in a head model using FDTD(Finite Difference Time Domain). In this study human head was modelled in four elements-layered structure, consisting of skin, fat, skull and brain. To calculate the electromagnetic fields wihtin the head model, FDTD method was used. In the FDTD method, the electromagnetic wave is analyzed by solving a Maxwell's equations repeatedly. For the calculation, distance between power source and head model increased by 10[m]. Power density and incident electric field intensity were calculated. Based on the incident electric field, the program which calaculated internal electric fields intensity and SAR calculation of the head model were developed. The results of developed program using FDTD were compared with those of a commericial programs, which showed the availability and usefulness of the suggested scheme in this paper.

  • It is necessary to generalize the use for structural ALA Concrete in our country, as increasing in the need for the development of ALA and the use of ALA Concrete which is related with the diminution of the self load and foundation section of structure responding to the realistic requirement against the decrease of natural aggregate and the high-rising and large-sizing of structures. This little study, therefore intended to help in the mixing design of concrete by considering the fundamental properties of ALA Concrete used with expanded clay, which is considered by acopting the experimental factors such as unit cement content, water cement ratio and the rate of fine aggregate. By considering the results of this experiment, it has difficulty in getting expected slump with the unit water content of normal concrete because of the large absorption of lightweight aggregate, and because the weight of unit volume and specific gravity ALA Concrete are small it appears that the strength and Elastic Modulus of that are small too and that it is more ductile than normal concrete.

  • This study shows basic data for using as the structural lightweight aggregate. This will be the procedural method of recycling environmental close waste PET bottle lightweight aggregate(PBLA) that is rapidly increased the amount of production of waste PET bottle recently, the quality of developed PBLA and the fundamental properties by analyzing of mortar containing with PBLA. After experiment, the result shows the PBLA quality that have oven dry specific gravity of 1.39, unit volume weight of 844 kg/m$^3$ and absorption rate of 0% is satisfied with qualify regulation of lightweight aggregate. The flowability of mortar containing PBLA is increased maximum 16% with increasing mixing ratio of PBLA, however the compressive strength of mortar is decreased maximum 35% with increasing mixing ratio of PBLA.

  • Most concrete is recently made of an aggregate which is properly absorbed, and carried in it according to its capability at every fields. We have been close to demand new capability of high flowing and enduring for specific concretes. That is difficult to cope with claiming the efficiency on deterioration from lack of a high Quality aggregate. Therefore, For solving the problems we apply to method of packaged dry combined materials for concrete using dried materials. That is to say that it is a kind of making into an instant. In this study, There is a purpose to present fundamental data, comparing and analyzing a phenomenon of aggregate's absorption following the rate of adding water, for using existing materials.
