This research presents the nonlinear analysis model for reinforced concrete shear wall systems with special boundary elements as proposed by the Korean Building Code (KBC, 2009). In order to verify the analysis model, analytical results were compared with the experimental results obtained from previous studies. Established analytical model was used to perform nonlinear static and dynamic analyses. Analytical results showed that the semi-special shear wall improved significantly the performance in terms of ductility and energy dissipation as expected based on previous test results. Furthermore, nonlinear incremental dynamic analysis was performed using 20 ground motions. Based on computer analytical results, the ordinary shear wall, special shear wall and newly proposed semi-special shear wall systems were evaluated based on the methods in FEMA P965. The results based on the probabilistic approaches accounting for inherent uncertainties showed that the semi-special shear wall systems provide a high capacity/demand (ACMR) ratio owing to their details, which provide enough capacity to sustain large inelastic deformations.

The purpose of this study was to provide basic information on the development of nutrition education programs to improve the mealtime behavior of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by investigating the mealtime behavior and food preferences of children with ASD through the perception of special education teachers. Surveys were given to 108 special education teachers in special education schools in Korea regarding the demographic characteristics, nutrition education support needs, mealtime behavior, and food preferences of children with ASD. Most of the special education teachers responded that nutrition education in special schools had not been conducted properly and nutrition education for ASD children is necessary. Mealtime behavior analysis classified the behavior into three clusters: cluster 1, 'less problematic mealtime behavior'; cluster 2, 'general feature of autism'; cluster 3, 'difficulty in self-directed diet'. The age, eating habits, and food preferences were different according to each mealtime behavior cluster. Therefore, it will be necessary to develop a nutrition education program based on the characteristics of mealtime behavior.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the purchase of special and cooking patterns of eggs. This survey was carried out through questionnaire and the subjects were 435 housewives whose children were middle or high school students in Kyunggi-do and Inchon. The results are summarized as follows : 1) As for age, 66.4% of subjects were 40 years or older. Also 57.1% of subjects received a high school education. As for occuption, full-time housewives accounted for 60.5%. Monthly family income of 39.1 % was 1-2 million won. As for monthly cost of food, 51.7% of subjects paid less than 500 thousand won. Also 40.2% of subjects lived in apartments. 2)Most housewives knew about the sale of special eggs. However, they perceived that the price of special eggs was expensive. 3) The higher their age, education level. household income and food cost, were, the more frequent their purchase of special eggs was. 4) The reason for their purchasing special eggs was in order of nutrition and freshness. 5) Most housewives didn't trust the brands of special eggs. 6) The most popular method of cooking eggs was fried-eggs. Therefore, it is necessary to provide cheap, fresh and nutritious special eggs. (Korean J Community Nutrition 2(5) : 711∼720, 1997)

Two infinite classes of special finite groups considered (The group G is special, if G' and Z(G) coincide). Using certain sequences of numbers we give explicit formulas for the Fibonacci lenghts of these classes which involve the well-known Wall numbers k(n).

In this paper, analytical models for reinforced concrete shear wall systems designed based on Korean Building Code (KBC2009) are proposed, which have special and semi-special seismic details and are compared with experimental results for a verification of analytical models. In addition, semi-special seismic details aimed to improve constructability and enhance economic efficiency were proposed and evaluated. The analytical models were performed based on nonlinear static and dynamic analysis. Through the nonlinear analyses, two seismic details showed the similar seismic behavior from the cyclic test and the analytical models for the two different seismic details represented the behavior in terms of the initial stiffness, maximum strength and strength degradation. And newly proposed seismic details(semi-special) provided with similar hysterestic behavior as well as the maximum drift.

In 2000 a general conjecture was proposed: a special polygon cannot be cut into an odd number of triangles of equal areas. It has been proved that the conjecture holds for polygons with at most six sides. In this paper we prove the existence of special n-polygon for any integer n > 6 and discuss the conjecture for special polygons with seven sides.

The notion of a complicated pre-logic is introduced and investigated some properties of it. A special set in a pre-logic is established and some related its properties are discussed. Also more extended special sets in a pre-logic are introduced and some relations with deductive systems are obtained.

The special conformally flatness is a generalization of a sub-projective space. B. Y. Chen and K. Yano ([4]) showed that every canal hypersurface of a Euclidean space is a special conformally flat space. In this paper, we study the conditions for the base space B is special conformally flat in the conharmonically flat warped product space $B^n{\times}f\;R^1$.
