닫힌 눈(eye-closed) EEG신호를 이용한 높은 비율BCI 맞춤법 시스템 (High-rate BCI spelling System using eye-closed EEG signals)

  • 이 연구는 비동기 매커니즘을 바탕으로 닫힌 눈(eye-closed) 및 이중 블링크 (double-blinking) EEG를 사용하여 BCI를 개발하는 것을 목표한다. 제안된 시스템은 신호 처리 모듈과 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스 (VK-가상 키보드)로 구성되어 있으며 26개의 영문자와 특수 기호로 구성됩니다. "눈 닫기"이벤트는 "선택"(select)명령을 유발하는 반면, "이중 블링크"(DB) 이벤트는 "실행 취소"(undo) 명령에 따라 실행합니다. 3개의 이벤트 그룹 ("열린 눈"(eye-open, "닫힌 눈" (eye-closed)및 "이중 블링크"(double-blinking)에 대한 EEG 신호 분석과 관련된 3 등급 벡터 보조 분류 (SVM) 기계가 제안되었습니다. 결과는 제안된 BCI가 평균 92.6 %의 전체 정확도와 5 글자 / 분의 맞춤법 비율을 달성 할 수 있음을 보여주었습니다. 전반적으로 이 연구는 실제 BCI 맞춤법을 구현하기의 실현 가능성과 신뢰성으로 인해 정확도와 철자 비율의 향상을 보여주었습니다.

한강수계 상위고도 하천의 저온성 및 산악성 부착조류군집 (The Community of Cryophilic and Mountain Periphyton at High Altitude Streams in the Han-river System)

  • The community of periphyton was studied at high altitude streams of the Han-river System, including Buk-stream and Hangae-stream from October to November 2010. The study had special emphasis on the distribution of the cryophilic and mountain periphyton. In this research, 117 taxa of periphyton appeared and 80 taxa of diatom were included within these periphytons. Saproxenous taxa, such as Achnanthes convergens and Hannaea arcus var. subarcus were appeared in most sites, 7 sites were dominant by filamentous taxa in green and blue green algae. The DAIpo value was from 48.8 to 92.5 for the water system of this research. Most sites showed a good water quality, receiving a B class or above except the Woljeong-stream and the Daeki-stream. Cryophilic and mountain periphyton appeared 9 taxa which composed by diatoms Cymbella affinis, Cymbella tumida, Diatoma mesodon, Diatoma vulgare, Eunotia pectinalis, Hannaea arcus, Hannaea arcus var. subarcus and Synedra inaequalis and green algae Ulothrix zonata. Among these taxa, Hannaea arcus var. subarcus, found in 29 out of 33 sites, had the highest frequency of apperance. The relative frequency of Hannaea arcus var. subarcus was positively correlated with altitude($r^2$=0.539) and negatively correlated with water temperature($r^2$=0.338). As a result, Hannaea arcus var. subarcus showed the characteristics of cryophilic and mountain periphyton in the research site.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze and find out key success factors and marketing strategies of Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. The major success factors of Bumrungrad Hospital are as follows; First, Bumrungrad Hospital had professional medical team and board of directors who had the international career. Second, Bumrungrad was supported by Thai government and they were in a cooperative relationship with each other for the development of the medical industry. Third, Bumrungrad appropriately handled the internal and external changes including Asia Financial Crises in 1997 and others. Fourth, Bumrungrad diversified and broaden its business field such as global medical investing and management, medical technology, anti-age medicine and wellness. Marketing strategies of Bumrungrad analyzed are the following four factors. First, Bumrungrad focused on the quality of services by employing professional medical staffs, who have the international certification, and by constructing IT system for hospital management. Second, Bumrungrad has maintained an equalized price policy to attract the customers bothin the domestic and foreign markets. The cost for care has appealed the foreign customers for its comparatively low price, but it focused mainly on the upper middle class in Thailand. Third, it established, managed, and consulted hospitals in the foreign countries including the Philippines and the Arab Emirates. Fourth, it adopted differentiated promotion strategies suitable for the special needs of domestic and foreign customers, and put emphasis on the buzz marketing.

  • ATM(Asychronous Transfer Mode) 표준에서 제안된 EMRCA(Explicit Max_min Rate Control Algorithm) 스위치 방식은 ATM 네트워크에서 ABR(Available Bit Rate) 서비스 트래픽을 제어한다. ATM 네트워크의 ABR 서비스 분류는 다양한 링크 용량에 적용하기 위하여 피드백 제어 방식을 사용한다. VS/VD(Virtual Source/Virtual Destination) 기법은 다른 종단간 ABR 제어 루프를 격리된 루프들로부터 분리할 수 있도록 해준다. 피드백 지연과 내부적으로 폐쇄된 구간을 갖는 ABR 트래픽 제어는 처리량, 지연 그리고 지터 등을 고려한 ABR 접속에 있어서 보다 나은 성능과 QoS(Quality of Service)를 제공한다. 본 논문은 ABR VS/VD 흐름 제어 방식에 관한 연구이다. 매개변수를 정확하게 선택하고 시스템의 안정성과 같은 성능을 평가하는 수단을 제공하기 위하여 선형 제어 이론을 사용하여 모델링 하였다. 성능 개선의 목적은 높은 링크 이용율과 공정한 대역폭 분배 그리고 안정된 동작등이며 이는 이산 사건 시뮬레이션을 하였다. 본 논문에서는 VS/VD 스위치의 특수한 레이아웃에 맞춘 ABR 흐름 제어 방식의 설계에 선형 제어 이론을 사용한 것이며 시뮬레이션을 하여 기존의 폭주 제어 방식보다 우수함을 보였다.

  • 심한 하악 후퇴증은 교정치료만으로 성공적인 결과를 얻을 수 없으며 골절단술, 이부성형술등 외과적 교정이 고려되어야 한다. 설골상근의 장력에 의한 회귀현상을 최소화하기 위해 수술시 하악 체부를 전방회전시킴과 동시에 가능한 전방으로 overcorrection한다. 저자등은 구미인에 비해 발생빈도가 적은 하악 후퇴증을 주소로 내원한 환자를 양측성 하악골 시상절단술과 이부 성형술을 통하여 만족할만한 안모개선 및 교합관계 개선을 이루었기에 이에 보고하는 바이다.

Evaluation of Future Climate Change Impact on Streamflow of Gyeongancheon Watershed Using SLURP Hydrological Model

  • The impact on streamflow and groundwater recharge considering future potential climate and land use change was assessed using SLURP (Semi-distributed Land-Use Runoff Process) continuous hydrologic model. The model was calibrated and verified using 4 years (1999-2002) daily observed streamflow data for a $260.4km^2$ which has been continuously urbanized during the past couple of decades. The model was calibrated and validated with the coefficient of determination and Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency ranging from 0.8 to 0.7 and 0.7 to 0.5, respectively. The CCCma CGCM2 data by two SRES (Special Report on Emissions Scenarios) climate change scenarios (A2 and B2) of the IPCC (Intergovemmental Panel on Climate Change) were adopted and the future weather data was downscaled by Delta Change Method using 30 years (1977 - 2006, baseline period) weather data. The future land uses were predicted by CA (Cellular Automata)-Markov technique using the time series land use data of Landsat images. The future land uses showed that the forest and paddy area decreased 10.8 % and 6.2 % respectively while the urban area increased 14.2 %. For the future vegetation cover information, a linear regression between monthly NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) from NOAA/AVHRR images and monthly mean temperature using five years (1998 - 2002) data was derived for each land use class. The future highest NDVI value was 0.61 while the current highest NDVI value was 0.52. The model results showed that the future predicted runoff ratio ranged from 46 % to 48 % while the present runoff ratio was 59 %. On the other hand, the impact on runoff ratio by land use change showed about 3 % increase comparing with the present land use condition. The streamflow and groundwater recharge was big decrease in the future.

Conservation Biology of Endangered Plant Species in the National Parks of Korea with Special Reference to Iris dichotoma Pall. (Iridaceae)

  • The aim of this study was to provide basic guidelines for conservation and management of endangered plants in the national parks of Korea. Iris dichotoma Pall. (Iridaceae), which is a popular garden plant, is considered a second-class endangered species by Korean government and it is listed as a EN (Endangered) species in Red Data Book of Korea. We analyzed ecological conditions of I. dichotoma habitats based on vegetation properties and soil characteristics. This species which is known to inhabit in grassland adjacent to the ocean of lowlands slope and its population was located at an elevation of 8 m to 11 m. In the study sites, the mean of soil organic matter, total nitrogen and soil pH were 6.16%, 0.234% and 5.39 respectively. Additionally, the genetic variation and structure of three populations were assessed using ISSR (Inter Simple Sequence Repeat) markers. The genetic diversity of I. dichotoma (P = 59.46%, H = 0.206, S = 0.310) at the species level was relatively high. Analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) showed 82.1% of the total genetic diversity was occurred in within populations and 17.9% variation among populations. Lastly, we developed predicted distribution model based on climate and topographic factors by applying SDMs (Species Distribution Models). Consequently, current status of I. dichotoma habitats is limited with natural factors such as the increase of the coverage rate of the herbs due to ecological succession. Therefore, it is essential to establish in situ and ex situ conservation strategies for protecting natural habitats and to require exploring potential and alternative habitats for reintroduction.

자재소요명세서 유형 계층차원의 설계 (Design of a Hierarchical Dimension of the Bill of Materials Type)

  • 순환관계란 동일 클래스 내의 엔티티 간의 관계를 말하는데, 이중 N:M 순환관계는 자재소요명세서 구조를 기술하는데 사용할 수 있다. 자재소요명세서란 제조분야에서 자주 쓰이는 것으로 계층형의 특수 데이터 구조로 되어있다. 비즈니스 차원은 거의 대부분 계층구조로 되어있다. 본 연구에는 자재소요명세서 유형의 계층차원을 다음과 같이 설계하고 있다. 먼저 일반적인 N:M 순환관계에서와 마찬가지로 교차 테이블을 만든 다음 이를 OLAP 모델에서의 차원으로 변환시킨다. 즉 교차 테이블의 첫 번째 컬럼은 이 차원의 가장 낮은 수준으로, 두 번째 컬럼은 이 차원의 유일한 상위 수준으로 변환시키는 것이다. 이렇게 설계한 차원을 사용한 다차원 사례 정보시스템도 아울러 구축하고 있다.

기후변화에 따른 에너지 저장시설 지진 안전성평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Earthquake Safety Assessment of Energy Storage Facilities According to Climate Change)

  • 연구목적: 에너지저장시설의 주요 시설물인 Coalescer 시설물을 대상으로 현행 설계기준(KBC2016)에 따라 지진에 대한 위험성평가를 수행하였다. 연구방법: 구조해석은 상용프로그램인 MIDAS-IT의 MIDAS GENw를 사용하였고, 구조물의 해석을 위해 기존 설계 도서를 준용하였으며, 해석에 사용한 하중은 국토교통부의 「건축구조기준 KBC2016」와 미국 연방기준인 「Provisions of the Uniform Building Code」를 따랐다. 연구결과: 본 연구에서는 지진하중을 정적으로 재하하고 특급 구조물의 붕괴방지수준에 대하여 평가함으로써 시설물의 관리자가 간편하게 위험도를 인지하고 평가할 수 있도록 고려하였으며, 본 해석결과를 활용하여 향후 시설물의 위험관리에 적용할 수 있도록 지진해석을 수행하였다. 결론: 현재 설계기준인 KBC2016에 의해 Coalescer 시설을 해석한 결과, 주요 지지부재의 stress ratio는 최대 4.7% 정도로 나타났다. 따라서 Coalescer를 지지하는 부재는 국내에 발생할 수 있는 재현주기 2400년 수준의 지진에 대하여 안전한 것으로 해석되었다.

2018년 소방공무원 응급구조사 총조사 (The 2018 Fire department emergency medical technician survey)

  • Purpose: The 2018 General survey of emergency assistance was conducted to examine the working conditions and welfare, including educational direction, interests, and awareness of work, of the fire department emergency medical technicians (EMT). This would be used as basic data for future policy directions. Methods: Among the fire-fighting officers in 16 cities nationwide, emergency rescue workers engaged in first-aid activities were targeted. With prior consent, a survey was conducted through electronic documents. Of the total 1,227 people, responses from 1,151 were finally analyzed, excluding 76 who did not respond appropriately. Results: The working conditions and welfare of 119 firefighters were moderate, but in the fields of education and interest, the learning according to the regulations was high. In particular, satisfaction with the scope of work was found to be below average. However, it was positive that it will play a role as a social safety net in the future and will converge with cutting-edge science. Conclusion: Although this study was a total investigation of the EMT survey, conducting an EMT survey on all fire fighters in Korea is difficult. Further research is needed, particularly on first-class emergency medical personnel who play a major role in 119 paramedics.
