Objectives: This study observed changes in gait pattern according to the motor grade of the paretic lower limb in patients with basal ganglia stroke who are in the subacute phase. Methods: We used the Manual Muscle Test (MMT) to evaluate the motor grade of the paretic lower limb of 21 patients with subacute basal ganglia stroke and then divided them into two groups based on the MMT results. Stroke patients with a motor grade above Gr. III were put in group I (15 people) and those with a grade less than Gr. III in group II (6 people). We also estimated spatiotemporal factors using treadmill gait analysis equipment. The values were gait velocity, step length, step time, double support phase, and cadence. The first measure was conducted during the early period of admission and the second was between four and five weeks after admission. Results: In Group I, the gait velocity and step length of both legs significantly increased. In Group II, the step length and step time of the paretic side and the gait velocity tended to decrease, but not significantly. The step length of the paretic side in Group II was significantly longer than that in Group I at the first measure. The step time of the paretic side in Group I was significantly shorter than that in Group II and gait velocity and cadence in Group I were significantly higher than in Group II at the second measure. Conclusions: The gait parameters of all stroke patients improved in terms of time. In addition, the changes in gait pattern were different depending on the motor grade of the paretic lower limb.
Purpose: The aim of the current study was to examine the effects of hinged ankle-foot orthosis (HAFO) on walking function in children with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy (CP). Methods: Thirty-two children (mean age: $6.79{\pm}0.35years$, age range: 5-7 years) who were diagnosed with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy participated in the study. Each subject typically walked through 10 meters of a gait platform with markers on the subject's proper body segments and underwent 3-D motion analysis system with and without hinged ankle-foot orthosis. The HAFOs were all custom-made for individual CP children and had plantarflexion stop at $0^{\circ}C$ with no dorsiflexion stop. The interventions were conducted over three trials in each group, and measurements were performed on each subject by one examiner in three trials. 3-D motion analysis system was used to measure gait parameters such as walking velocity, cadence, step-length, step-width, stride-length, and double support period in two conditions. Results: The walking velocity, cadence, step-length, and stride-length were significantly greater for the HAFO condition as compared to the no HAFO condition (p<0.05). However, no significant difference in step-width and double support period was observed between two conditions. Conclusion: These findings suggest that using the HAFO during walking would suggest positive evidence for improving the spatiotemporal parameters of gait in children with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy.

Recently, OGC(Open Geospatial Consortium) take the lead in SWE(Sensor Web Enablement) research that collection various context information from sensor networks and show it on map by web. OGC SWE WG(Working Group) defines a standard encoding about realtime spatiotemporal appear geographical feature, sensing data and support web services. This paper proposes a visualization scheme of sensing data based location on 2D maps. We show realtime sensing data on moving node that mapping GPS data on map. First, we present an algorithm and procedure that location information change to position of maps for visualization sensing data based on 2D maps. For verifying that algorithm and scheme, we design and implement a program that collecting GPS data and sensing data, and displaying application on 2D maps. Therefore we confirm effective visualization on maps based on web which realtime image and sensing data collected from sensor network.
Objectives: Personal exposure to air pollution is affected by contact over time and by location. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between personal exposure to $PM_{2.5}$ and the time-activity patterns of the elderly in urban and rural areas. Methods: A total of 44 elderly participants were recruited for a 24-hour $PM_{2.5}$ personal exposure measurement. Twenty-four were from Seoul (urban area) and 20 were from Asan (rural area). Energy expenditure and spatiotemporal positioning were monitored through $PM_{2.5}$ measurement. Spearman correlation analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between $PM_{2.5}$ and time-activity pattern. Results: Daily average $PM_{2.5}$ personal exposures were $19.1{\pm}9.7{\mu}g/m^3$ in Seoul and $29.1{\pm}16.9{\mu}g/m^3$ in Asan. Although outdoor exposure was higher in Seoul than in Asan, residential indoor exposure was higher in Asan than in Seoul. Higher $PM_{2.5}$ personal exposure in Asan could be explained by longer time in residential indoor environments and higher indoor $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations. Seoul elderly had higher energy expenditure, which may be due to the use of mass transportation. Conclusion: Personal exposure to $PM_{2.5}$ was higher among Asan elderly than Seoul elderly because of high residential indoor concentrations and longer residential time. Lack of energy spent and higher personal exposure to $PM_{2.5}$ might have led to higher risk among the Asan elderly.

P48 Ebp1 is expressed in rapidly proliferating cells such as cancer cells and accelerates cell growth and survival. However, its expression pattern and role in central nervous system development have not been studied. Here, we demonstrated the spatiotemporal expression pattern of p48 Ebp1 during embryonic development and the postnatal period. During embryonic development, p48 Ebp1 was highly expressed in the brain. Expression gradually decreased after birth but was still more abundant than p42 expression after birth. Strikingly, we found that p48 Ebp1 was expressed in a cell type specific manner in neurons but not astrocytes. Moreover, p48 Ebp1 physically interacted with beta tubulin but not alpha tubulin. This fits with its accumulation in distal microtubule growth cone regions. Furthermore, in injured hippocampal slices, p48 Ebp1 introduction promoted axon regeneration. Thus, we speculate that p48 Ebp1 might contribute to microtubule dynamics acting as an MAP and promotes CNS axon regeneration.
This study examined the spatiotemporal distribution of demersal fish aggregations in the Northern East China Sea by conducting a trawl survey with hydroacoustic devices. A bottom trawl was used for this survey and fish density was determined from the catch data. Acoustic data were collected at frequencies of 38 and 200 kHz from November to December 2014 and converted into the nautical area scattering coefficient (NASC, $m^2/n{\cdot}mile^2$). In the catch data analysis, the range of catch per unit area by station was $26-8,055kg/km^2$ and for the acoustic data, that of the NASC was $0.45-34.80m^2/n{\cdot}mile^2$. The values were significantly correlated. The combined results of both surveys found that the density was highest at St. 5 ($33^{\circ}$ 10.3', $126^{\circ}$ 23.3') and lowest at St. 8 ($33^{\circ}$ 20.7', $127^{\circ}$ 36.3'). The application of hydroacoustic methods offers a new approach for estimating the biomass of demersal fish aggregations.

For tracing tag locations, a trajectories should be modeled and indexed in radio frequency identification (RFID) systems. The trajectory of a tag can be represented as a line that connects two spatiotemporal locations captured when the tag enters and leaves the vicinity of a reader. If a tag enters but does not leave a reader, its trajectory is represented only as a point captured at entry and we should extend the region of a query to find the tag that remains in a reader. In this paper, we propose an interval data model of tag's trajectory in order to solve the problem. For the interval data model. we propose a new index scheme called the IR-tree(Interval R-tree) and algorithms of insert and split for processing query efficiently. We also evaluate the performance of the proposed index scheme and compare it with the previous indexes.

For tracing tag locations, a trajectories should be modeled and indexed in radio frequency identification (RFID) systems. The trajectory of a tag can be represented as a line that connects two spatiotemporal locations captured when the tag enters and leaves the vicinity of a reader. If a tag enters but does not leave a reader, its trajectory is represented only as a point captured at entry. Because the information that the tag stays in the reader is missing from the trajectory represented only as a point, we should extend the region of a query to find the tag that remains in a reader. In this paper, we propose an interval data model of tag's trajectory in order to solve the problem. Trajectories of tags are represented as two kinds of intervals; dynamic intervals which are time-dependent lines and static intervals which are fixed lines. We also show that the interval data model has better performance than others with a cost model
Continuity and discontinuity is a relative concept, and there are various categories of the continuity and discontinuity in our circumference. Generally, characteristics of postmodernism including between the difference and the variety have being regarded as a discontinuity. Concept of the continuity includes between the quantitative continuity and the qualitative continuity qualitative continuity has organic characteristic, which encourages creating something permanently through the flowing of the time. Therefore, this thesis has studied like this complex social condition and various relationships expressed in modern fashion focusing on permanently creative movements and behaviors equal to the 'continuance' theory of Herni Bergson and 'continuity' theory of Jill Deleuze. This thesis classifies characteristics of the qualitative continuity into spatiotemporal and spatial continuity, and subdivides into 3 sets: perceptual continuity, spatial continuity, transferring continuity of physical experience, immaterial informational continuity, and fluid continuity with environment. Continuous viewpoint, which accepts the existing elements and allows them to flow liberally, should be present more appropriative thinking direction in explaining the complex situation expressed in the modern fashion, rather than discontinuous viewpoints focused on the only changing moment.
The R-trees are usually used for an index of trajectories in moving-objects databases. However, they need to access a number of nodes to trace same trajectories because of considering only a spatial proximity. Overlaps and dead spaces should be minimized to enhance the performance of range queries in moving-objects indexes. Trajectories of moving-objects should be preserved to enhance the performance of the trajectory queries. In this paper, we propose the TP3DR-tree(Trajectory Preserved 3DR-tree) using clusters of trajectories for range and trajectory queries. The TP3DR-tree uses two split policies: one is a spatial splitting that splits the same trajectory by clustering and the other is a time splitting that increases space utilization. In addition, we use connecting information in non-leaf nodes to enhance the performance of combined-queries. Our experiments show that the new index outperforms the others in processing queries on various datasets.
