A structural system developed and named 'Pantadome system' by the author has been applied to six major spatial structures of various shapes and dimensions in different corners of the world. It is a structures system (not a construction method) incorporation a temporary 'kinematic mechanism' in it for a rational construction of domical structures. Nara Convention Hall has recently been constructed successful on the principle of Pantadome System. In the present paper raison d'etre, principle and newly applied examples of Panatadome System are presented.

The concept of 'spatial association' explains spatial distribution pattern of geographical phenomenon based on similarity with neighborhoods, as in the Tobler's Law of Geography: 'Everything is related to everything else, but near things are more related than distant things.' In this study, we develop a time-series exploratory analysis tool for discovering temporal patterns of spatial association by combining spatial statistics and geo-visualization, and thus present a possibility to support spatial decision-making process. As for the spatial proximity weight matrix indispensable to measuring global and local spatial association, we employ a variety of flexible weighting schemes using geometric characteristics of areal unit. In addition, we renovate the existing visualization methods for more effective understanding of the procedures and results of time-series analysis on spatial association: for instance, temporal parallel coordinate plot with box plot, animated map for spatial association, and 3D Moran scatterplot. The feasibility of our system is verified by time-series analysis experiments on the spatial association of land price fluctuation rate for all administrative units in Korea, $1995{\sim}2004$.

Spatial structures have the different dynamic characteristics from general rahmen structures. Therefore, it is necessary to accurately analyze dynamic characteristics and seismic response for seismic design of spatial structure. Keel arch structure is used as an example structure because it has primary characteristics of spatial structures. In case of spatial structures with different ground condition and time lag, multiple support excitation may be subjected to supports of a keel arch structure. In this study, the response of the keel arch structure under multiple support excitation and with time lag are analyzed by means of the pseudo excitation method. Pseudo excitation method shows that the structural response is divided into two parts, ground displacement and structural dynamic response due to ground motion excitation. It is known that the seismic responses of spatial structure under multiple support excitation are different from those of spatial structure under simple excitation. And the seismic response of spatial structure with time lag are different from those of spatial structure without time lag. Therefore, it has to be necessary to analyze the seismic response of spatial structure under multiple support excitation and time lag because the spatial structure supports may be different and very long span. It is shown that the seismic response of spatial structure under multiple support seismic excitation are different from those of spatial structure under unique excitation.

A land-speculation is to occur on a space. A purpose of this study interprets land speculation in a viewpoint of spatial, and to carry out effective decision-making about areas that land-speculation can be arise At the time of this, the focus of spatial interpretation Is recognition of a spatial continuity and consideration of a spatial association. In this study, I used fuzzy sets in order to recognize spatial continuity and. therefore a value in 0-1 was granted all area. And in order to consider spatial associations. carried out a local spatial association (Local Moran's I). Also. I introduced the spatial expert support systems (SESS) one of the computer-based decision support systems to dr efficient decision-making about a land-speculation in an object area. After that, as a case study I carried out decision-making about land-speculation's occurrence in the Seoul-Kyeonggi (2/4 quarter in 2001)
