Application of Generalized Maximum Entropy Estimator to the Two-way Nested Error Component Model with III-Posed Data

  • Recently Song and Cheon (2006) and Cheon and Lim (2009) developed the generalized maximum entropy(GME) estimator to solve ill-posed problems for the regression coefficients in the simple panel model. The models discussed consider the individual and a spatial autoregressive disturbance effects. However, in many application in economics the data may contain nested groupings. This paper considers a two-way error component model with nested groupings for the ill-posed data and proposes the GME estimator of the unknown parameters. The performance of this estimator is compared with the existing methods on the simulated dataset. The results indicate that the GME method performs the best in estimating the unknown parameters in terms of its quality when the data are ill-posed.

  • This study analyzed the change of flowout and suspend solid in Andong and Imha basin according to the climate change to develop evaluation index about turbid water occurrence possibility and to support the countermeasures for turbid water management using GIS-based Soil and Water Assessment Tools (SWAT). MIROC3.2 hires model values of A1B climate change scenario that were supplied by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) were applied to future climage change data. Precipitation and temperature were corrected by applying the output value of 20th Century Climate Coupled Model (20C3M) based on past climate data during 1977 and 2006 and downscaled with Change Factor (CF) method. And future climate change scenarios were classified as three periods (2020s, 2050s, 2080s) and the change of flowout and suspended solid according to the climate change were estimated by coupling modeled value with SWAT model.

  • In the resent years, the Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display(TFT-LCD) have trend toward larger panel sizes and higher spatial and/or gray-scale resolution. In this trend, Because of its low field effect mobility, a-Si TFT is change to poly-Si TFT. In this paper, both effective-medium model of poly-Si TFTs and empirical capacitance model are applied to Pixel Design Array Simulation Tool (PDAST) and the pixel characteristics of TFT-LCD array were simulated, which were compared with the results calculated by Aim-Spice.

공간적 자기상관성을 고려한 폭염취약지역 도출에 관한 연구 - 대구광역시를 중심으로 (A Study on Identification of the Heat Vulnerability Area Considering Spatial Autocorrelation - Case Study in Daegu)

  • IPCC는 기상이변의 예방 대책의 중요성을 권고하였으며 폭염은 주요 예방대책수립 주제 중 하나이다. 일반적으로 예방대책수립을 위한 기존 연구는 지형적 특성과 사회적 특성을 따로 구분하여 폭염취약지역을 도출하였으나 본 연구에서는 공간, 지형적 특성뿐만 아니라 사회적 특성을 함께 고려하여 폭염취약지역을 분석하고자 하였다. 에너지 사용량, 인구밀도, 정규식생지수, 수변이격거리, 태양복사량, 도로분포를 변수로 하여 점검하고, 여러 회귀모형 중 가장 적합한 모형인 Spatial Lag Model을 선택하여 사용가능한 변수를 추출하였다. 그리고 Fuzzy 이론에 기초하여 각 변수에 대한 폭염 취약정도를 분석하고, 6개의 변수를 중첩분석하여 최종적으로 폭염취약지역을 도출하였다. 연구 대상지는 폭염의 영향이 큰 대구광역시를 선정하였으며, 취약지역의 경우 기존 도심지이며 수변 및 식생에 영향을 적게 받은 대구 서구, 남구, 달서구에 주로 분포되어있음을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 대구광역시의 폭염 저감을 위한 정책적 지원에 있어 공간적, 사회적 특성을 모두 고려해야 함을 확인하였다.

Assessment of a smartphone-based monitoring system and its application

  • Information technology advances are allowing conventional surveillance systems to be combined with mobile communication technologies, creating ubiquitous monitoring systems. This paper proposes monitoring system that uses smart camera technology. We discuss the dependence of interior orientation parameters on calibration target sheets and compare the accuracy of a three-dimensional monitoring system with camera location calculated by space resectioning using a Digital Surface Model (DSM) generated from stereo images. A monitoring housing is designed to protect a camera from various weather conditions and to provide the camera for power generated from solar panel. A smart camera is installed in the monitoring housing. The smart camera is operated and controlled through an Android application. At last the accuracy of a three-dimensional monitoring system is evaluated using a DSM. The proposed system was then tested against a DSM created from ground control points determined by Global Positioning Systems (GPSs) and light detection and ranging data. The standard deviation of the differences between DSMs are less than 0.12 m. Therefore the monitoring system is appropriate for extracting the information of objects' position and deformation as well as monitoring them. Through incorporation of components, such as camera housing, a solar power supply, the smart camera the system can be used as a ubiquitous monitoring system.

우리나라 이산화탄소 배출량 결정요인 분석: 횡단면 의존성과 계수 이질성을 고려하여 (Analysis of Determinants of Carbon Dioxide Emissions in Korea: Considering Cross-sectional Dependence and Heterogeneous Coefficient)

  • 본 연구는 2000년부터 2019년까지 우리나라 16개 광역시·도의 패널자료를 활용하여 확장된 STIRPAT 모형을 통해 이산화탄소 배출량 결정요인을 분석하였다. 패널 데이터의 횡단면 의존성과 계수 이질성을 검정한 후, 이들 특성을 반영한 MG, CCEMG, AMG 추정법을 통해 분석하였다. AMG 추정법을 통해 분석한 결과를 살펴보면, 소득, 인구, 에너지 집약도의 계수가 양(+)의 부호로 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났으나, 도시화는 통계적으로 유의하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 우리나라 이산화탄소 배출량의 감소는 에너지 효율의 증가와 지속가능한 경제성장을 통해 이루어질 수 있다. 따라서 이산화탄소 감축기술의 적극적인 개발로 저탄소 사회를 구축하고, 이와 함께 기술혁신을 통해 장기적으로 생산성 향상을 유발하여 지속가능한 경제성장에 기여할 수 있는 정책수립이 필요하다.

서울시 도시공간구조와 온실가스-대기오염 통합 배출량의 통계모형분석 (Statistical Model Analysis of Urban Spatial Structures and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) - Air Pollution (AP) Integrated Emissions in Seoul)

  • The relationship between urban spatial structures and GHG-AP integrated emissions was investigated by statistically analyzing those from 25 administrative districts of Seoul. Urban spatial structures, of which data were obtained from Seoul statistics yearbook, were classified into five categories of city development, residence, environment, traffic and economy. They were further classified into 10 components of local area, population, number of households, residential area, forest area, park area, registered vehicles, road area, number of businesses and total local taxes. GHG-AP integrated emissions were estimated based on IPCC(intergovernmental panel on climate change) 2006 guidelines, guideline for government greenhouse inventories, EPA AP-42(compilation of air pollutant emission factors) and preliminary studies. The result of statistical analysis indicated that GHG-AP integrated emissions were significantly correlated with urban spatial structures. The correlation analysis results showed that registered vehicles for GHG (r=0.803, p<0.01), forest area for AP (r=0.996, p<0.01), and park area for AP (r=0.889, p<0.01) were highly significant. From the factor analysis, three groups such as city and traffic categories, economy category and environment category were identified to be the governing factors controlling GHG-AP emissions. The multiple regression analysis also represented that the most influencing factors on GHG-AP emissions were categories of traffic and environment. 25 administrative districts of Seoul were clustered into six groups, of which each has similar characteristics of urban spatial structures and GHG-AP integrated emissions.

산업단지 개발에 따른 지가형성요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Factors Affecting Land Prices Caused by the Development of Industrial Complex)

  • 공시지가 제도가 도입된 이후, 부동산정책에 대한 제반 행정의 기준으로 기능해 왔다. 그러나 최근 공시지가의 적정성에 대한 문제가 제기되고 있다. 토지특성항목이 너무 많아 통계모형 수립이 어렵고, 지역적 경제적 환경이나 개발계획 등이 지가평가모형에 반영되기 어렵기 때문이었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 분석 모형으로 시계열적인, 횡단면적인 변수들을 고려하여 패널 모형 중에서 이원오차성분 모형을 적용하였다. 분석 모형에 토지특성변수, 거시경제변수, 개발사업을 반영하는 변수를 포함시켰다. 분석 지역으로는 파주 LCD 산업단지를 선정한 후, 실증분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과 토지특성변수들 중에서 14개(31%) 변수만이 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 거시경제적 변동성은 지가에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 개발사업을 반영하는 연도변수는 산업단지 지정 이후 지속적으로 유의한 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과들은 지가평가모형을 개선할 때 토지특성항목들은 단순화하고, 거시 경제 변수들과 지역 경제 변수들은 모형에 포함시켜야 한다는 것을 의미한다고 하겠다.

2 층열차 차체의 meta model 기반 최적설계 (Meta Model-Based Desgin Optimization of Double-Deck Train Carbody)

  • Double-deck train have studied in the next generation train in KRRI. Double-deck train have more seat capacities compared with single deck vehicles and is a efficient, reliable and comfortable alternative train. Because of heavy weight, weight minimization of double-deck train carbody is imperative to reduce cost and extend life-time of train. Weight minimization problem of the double-deck train car-body is required to decide 66 design variables of thicknesses for large aluminum extruded panel while satisfying stress constraints. Design variables are too many and one execution of structural analysis of double-deck train carbody is time-consuming. Therefore, we adopt approximation technique to save computational cost of optimization process. Metamodels such as response surface model (RSM) and kriging model are used to approximate model-based optimization is described. RSM is easy to obtain and expressed explicit function, but this is not suitable for highly nonlinear and large scaled problems. Kriging model employs an interpolation scheme and is developed in the fields of spatial statistics and geostatistics. Target of this design is to find optimum thickness of AEP to minimize weight of doulbe-deck train carbody. In this study, meta model techniques are introduced to carry out weight minimization of a double-deck train car-body.

박판 성형 공정의 유한요소 해석을 위한 마찰접촉 모델 (Frictional Contact Model for Finite Element Analysis of Sheet-Metal Forming Processes)

  • The mesh-based frictional contact model has been developed which does not rely on the spatial derivatives of the tool surface. Only points on the surface are evaluated from the description. which can then be simplified because of the relaxed demands placed on it. The surface tangents, normals, and corresponding derivatives at each finite-element node are evaluated directly from the finite-element mesh, in terms of the connecting nodal positions. The advantages accrue because there is no longer a need for a smooth tool surface to assure reasonable normals and derivatives. Furthermore, it can be shown that the equilibrium equations can only be properly written with a special normal derived from the mesh itself. The validity, accuracy, computation time, and stability of mesh-based contact model were discussed with the numerical examples of rounded flat-top and rough, flat-top rounded punch forming operations. Also, the forming process of a automobile inner panel section was simulated for testing the robustness of new contact model. In the discussion, the superiority of new model was examined, comparing with tool-based contact one.
