A Modeling Study on the Transport of Acid Pollutant by Regional Acid Deposition Model -Spacial Pattern and Variation of Air Pollutants on Eastern Asia and Central Part of Korea- (산성우모델에 의한 산성강하물의 수송에 관한 연구 - 동아시아 및 우리나라 중부지방의 대기오염물질 시공간분포 -)

  • The acid deposition and photochemical modeling study was performed on the Eastern Asia using Regional Acid Deposition Model(RADM). The results of this study show that horizontal distribution of $SO_2$, concentration and dry deposition flux was higher in Beking, Shanghai and central part of Korea. However distribution pattern of sulfate and $O_3$ concentration calculated by RADM were not similar to emission pattern. In daytime, $SO_2$, sulfate and $O_3$ were mixed to whole PBL but in nighttime because of inversion layer these pollutants were suppressed to lower level.

  • An echo signal in the active sonar using a high frequency is mainly formed of a specular reflection from the surface of an object along with several equivalent scatter inside, which are characterized by the spatial distribution of the highlights on the object. This thesis proposed a model in which the synthesized echo signal can be expressed as a distributed simulated target. The proposed model is obtained after composing a signal based on the movement of highlights relative to the aspect angle from the discontinuous point of an external hull with a strong reflection from a spheroid underwater target. Because the proposed algorithm includes a synthesis of the signals related to the highlight spacial distribution, it can be applied to all kinds of systems used at a short range, and similar results were obtained to the actual measured results of all reflected signals in previous literature referring to the irregular factor application of an envelope.

  • The purpose of this paper is to suggest one of effective online questionnaire methods by using web based games. The research examines the interrelation between space design element and emotion language in the background actually used in the web games, and suggests new questionnaire methods to overcome the problems of the insincere answers which is the limitation of online questionnaire methods. The paper is to examine the related references, and compare the merits and demerits between printed and online text based questionnaires. Then it suggests the on-line questionnaire methods based web games which can improve errors of the demerits. The emotional words and phrases database is embodied by the interrelation between the emotional words and four spaces such as a dwelling, a tradition, a commerce and a fantasy based on the position decision value of Gaussian distribution. The paper suggests to be utilized for a population calculability system such as a consumers preference test.

  • The graying of population is not only a significant problem in developing countries, but also in a small country which is passing industrialization and urbanization. Industrialization and urbanization has raised a number of nuclear family. Moreover, changes in the environment and development in science such as a medical development and improving standard of health and hygiene have raised an average life expectancy. Considering these factors, average age of population is going up continue. Developed countries such as Europe, US and Japan have already experienced the graying and some countries have entered aged society. Korea is expected to be reached post-aged society in 7 years which is faster than developed countries that started aging society earlier than Korea. The purpose of this study is a analysis of resident's opinions and preference and using space of elders facilities and seeking a plan to construct the facilities through suggesting standard of use space. Firstly, this report will classify current situation of spacial organization on elder facilities focusing on major sectors and will compare in size. Moreover, standard of area distribution through an analyzing characteristics of each spacial organization. Secondly, The report will compare and analyze between space and main traffic line through classifying traffic lines between staffs and residents of elder facilities and understanding characteristics and problems of each traffic line. Lastly, this will study perception and preference on staffs at elders facilities and middle old aged people who are potential demander, and compare between these people.

Temporal and Spacial Distributions of Water Quality and Evaluation of Pollutant Removal Efficiency in the Sihwa Constructed Wetland (시화호 인공습지에서 시공간적 수질분포 및 오염물질 제거효율 평가)

  • To evaluate the pollutant removal efficiency and clarify the cause of low removal efficiency of the wetland, temporal and spacial distributions of water quality were investigated at 16 sites in the Sihwa constructed wetland. The removal efficiency showed a tendency to decrease since the construction of the wetland, except for TN. In addition, the efficiency was largely varied with season, especially BOD and TP. No removal efficiency of BOD was observed in April and July when algal bloom was occurred in lower part open water of the wetland. On the other hand, TP showed no removal efficiency from April to August showing -291% of removal efficiency in August. From the horizontal distribution in closed water regions, SS concentration for the central area was significantly higher than for left and right areas(p = 0.013, center > left > right areas). From the results of this study, we infer that anaerobic condition due to the excessive accumulation of organic matters and lack of uniformity of water flow distribution are major factors of the low removal efficiency of the wetland.

  • Due to the traffic congestion of the city and public transportation-oriented policies, public transportation is receiving more attention and being used increasingly However, relatively less research on the design and distribution of public transportation network and limitations in quantitative approaches have made implementation and operation practically difficult. Over- or under-supply of transportation routes caused unbalanced connectivity among areas and differences in time, expenses and metal burden of users. On the other hand, the Space Syntax theory, designed to calculate the connectivity of urban or architectural space, helps generate quantitative connectivity of whole space simply based on the spacial structure. This study modified the original Space Syntax algorithm to fit the public transportation problem and showed how it is appied to a network by creating an artificial network using the GIS.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the activation methods of GIS industries through GIS industry current issue analysis in Korea to provide as following. First of an in order to analyse current GIS industries, there are three divisions as follows: existing GIS industry, new technology GIS industry, and commercial GIS industry. The existing GIS industry includes survey industry, municipality UIS and remote sensing. The new technology GIS industry has telematics industry, LiDAR industry, ubiquitous industry, LBS industry, internet, and u-city industry. The commercial GIS industry consists of civilian request GIS industry and spacial data distribution industry. The national geographic information industry contains problems and directions of the 1st, 2nd NGIS and 3rd NGIS plan direction policy. These classified GIS industries present various problems of policies and invaluable results for the future GIS industry activation directions as follows: Presence of the GIS contents technologies win be the most important core for the GIS industry activation related to IT839 policy of the government in Korea.

  • 제주도에 내리는 강수의 동위원소 조성의 시공간적인 분포를 파악하고 지하수 함양과의 관련성을 연구하기 위하여, 한라산의 남측과 북측 사면에 8개의 강수채수기를 설치하여 1년 동안 (2000. 9 ~ 2001. 8) 월강수를 채취하였다. 연구기간 동안에 강수량은 남쪽사면이 북쪽사면보다 약 37% 더 많았다. 강수의 산소동위원소 조성은 온도효과를 거의 보이지 않았다. 그러나 여름 강우에는 우량효과가 매우 뚜렷하였다. 고도가 높아지면서 강수의 동위원소 조성이 낮아지는 고도효과가 남측과 북측사면에서 모두 뚜렷이 관찰되었다. 가중평균값으로 볼 때 북측사면 강수의 동위원소 조성이 남측사면 강수보다 약 0.5$^{0}$ $_{00}$ 낮은 것이 관찰되었는데 이는 비그늘효과(rain shadow effect) 때문인 것으로 해석된다. 다른 지역에 비하여 북부지역 지하수 동위원소 조성이 상대적으로 결핍되어 있는 것은 기존 연구 결과처럼 지하수 이동속도가 빠르기 때문에 일어나는 현상이 아니고 지하수로 함양된 강수의 원래의 동위원소 조성을 반영하기 때문인 것으로 해석된다.다.

  • The information of the ion composition in plasma applications is required to characterize a plasma. A better understanding of ion species composition ratio and its spacial distribution, etc. is thus necessary in plasma-related processes, such as thin film deposition, plasma-based ion implantation, semiconductor processing, and so on. In this research, a compact ion mass analyzer that is based on magnetic sector analyzer was developed and its operational characteristics were studied in nitrogen plasma.

  • 공간 데이터베이스에서의 질의에 대한 선택률 추정에 대해서는 많은 연구가 있었지만 공간 데이터베이스에서의 공간 질의에 대한 선택률 추정이 매우 중요함에도 불구하고 이에 대한 연구는 아직 미흡한 상태이다. 이 논문에서는 공간 검색 조건의 정확한 선택률 추정을 위해 공간 데이터 분포를 통계 데이터로 저장하고 이를 이용하여 선택률을 추정하는 방법을 제안하고 구현하였다. 공간 질의에 대한 선택률 추정을 위해서 기존의 통계 데이터를 작성하는 방법으로 균등 분할 방법과 비균등 분할 방법이 사용되고 있지만 보다 정확한 선택률을 추정하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 새로운 통계 데이터 작성 방법인 크기별 분할 방법을 제안하였다. 각 방법의 성능은 다양한 파라미터에 대한 선택률 오차를 산출하여 평가하였다.
