With digital technology, space design is developing in a new direction with the changing paradigm. The space creates an interactive environment by motivating the User's active participation through the digital madia. In this social stream, it is very important to think about how this new paradigm affects the spatial design and the interactions between social changes and spatial design paradigm, so that we can understand design paradigm of our time. Hence, in this research, we will think about social characteristic and design paradigm of digital age by questioning how spatial design is changing in the digital age and how digital technology is affecting spatial design. this study analyzed about the space form, digital media setting, user interactivity of the examples of experience space using digital media. fields of our society, interactive space with the concept of HCI became a big issue in environmental design field. In this interactive space, various types of informative factors of the given space are sent using sensor and computer networking technology to the main system, and the main computer system sends manipulated output media to interactive devices. So, a user's movement in the space is more than just a movement itself user's movement now forms a important spatial structure that leads the narrative of the space. Researcher will analyze the characteristic of a public space and progress this research supposing that space needs this interactive design.

This study suggested the environmental components for open space in a healing environment based on the social support approach for integrating and enhancing users' activities and interactions. The physical environments of the open space in healing facilities should be suggested by social support design and support the interactions of various users. Particularly architectural environment conditions should reinforce the contribution to the revitalization of medical facilities based on improving the healing effect of patients through mutual exchange of users. The open space environment conditions influence users' healing process with physical design factors and users' interactions, and the flexible environments based on the social support that is crucial for circulation and mutual exchange of users. The open space transformation, integration of technology, and wayfinding system with color and signage also allow users to improve the space experience and easy access. The environmental components of open space design should include easy access for user inflow, flexible layout for comfort, access to outdoor spaces, integration of warm color schemes for relaxation, personalization of spaces with artwork, and visual interest through the use of textures and materials.

And this paper suggestion is composition method of community space in technology advanced, Interactive interface form for human, sustainable to community space direction elements. First, I'll rearrange the distinctive features of modern society through references of various scholars. This is to understand how interactivity affects the whole society and what is the importance of this interactive wave. Second, I'll analyze several trends of modern community space and figure the change of methodology of design based on the advancement of design technology. This is to understand the interactive relation of the subjects. Third, I'll seek how community space design has changed in modern society and under which process design is made. This is to clarify the fact that the portion of interaction will increase in future design according to the intervention of equipment, which is one of the objects of interaction space.

Recently, the public offices are going to be an important role of CIP(City Identity Program) and be a center of citizen's community activities. So, the aspect of the universal design (UD), the space performance assessment for a disable user is invaluable to designing the public office spaces. Purpose of this paper is to provide basic data for better design of public office space based on UD(universal design) principle. Conclusion based on the finding are as follows; First, checklist of environmental assessment for public space was composed of 7 basic principles of UD and 3 additional principles(aesthetic appreciation, maintenance and eco-design). Second, as the result of assessment, accessible and inclusive design is more necessary. Third, local characteristics should be developed and managed deliberately as to public space design. As the result of that, public office space design should an important part of reducing the isolation that was caused by physical and social disability. From now on, in public office space design, the integrated and continuous design program that is based on UD principle and eco-design will be necessary.

The concept of food and beverage space in modern society is changing into complex space where various experiences are provided. With the increase of food service brands, those brands are getting standardized. Providing more differentiated experience and service became an element of competition to companies. The flagship stores among stores presented by companies have much influence on promotion and sales. Thus, it would be necessary to provide integrated service by adopting service design process for the differentiated design of such experiential space. The objective of this study is to examine the satisfaction of service design of food and beverage flagship stores. By creating a checklist to evaluate the space through the theoretical consideration of flagship stores and service design, the satisfaction of service design of food and beverage flagship stores was analyzed. Through the survey with users of the case space, it was possible to check the satisfaction of the service design elements applied to the food and beverage flagship store space. The satisfaction with service design was evaluated through the 5point scale. When the average point was high, the satisfaction with service design elements was high. In the results of the analysis, regarding the spatial composition of flagship stores, the overall interior/exterior atmosphere should contain the image of the company. As flagship stores compose space that can express various event space and company itself on top of the space for sales, they should present the spatial composition differentiated from other general commercial spaces. The significance of a study on service design of flagship stores is to show positive effect on flagship store space. In the future, it would be necessary to have comparative analysis on domestic and foreign cases applied with the service design process, and also to analyze the strategies in the aspect of service design.

Digital technology continually makes a space evolves. The real-time behavior design communicates the data with the situation of circumference of the space(visitors moving, interior and exterior situations). The space form was changed because it interfaces in real time. The purpose of this study was finding out the characteristics of real-time behavior space design through the analysis of space formative languages, sensorium, S-R and material. This study will be the one of basic references for the digital space design. The boundary of this study set limits to the works of digital space designer who applies the real-time exchanging data to their design among the digital space design works from 1996 to 2004. But it excepted from the real-time behavior space in virtual realty. Therefore, the objects of this study were the works of onl and NOX(paraSITE, Trans-port 2001, Muscle, MotormeCCa, Handdrawspace, Saltwater Pavilion, Son-O-House, H2O Expo). The method was the contents analysis of space formative languages(Greg Lynn's ten space formative languages; bleb, blob, branch, flower, fold, lattice, teeth, shred, skins and strand), sensorium, S-R and material. The results of the study are as follows: 1) The organizational elements; Space formative languages(bleb, blob, fold, shred, skins, strand), stimulation(Human Participation, Human Moving, Weather Conditions), and response(Spatial Moving, Sound Pattern, Lighting Pattern, color Pattern, Activating Particles, Moving Picture, Virtual Friend) 2) The material Use; Sound, lights, and network have been used in the space. Immaterial matter will be used the main material of space design in 21"'century, 3)The spatial types; formal changing of space, projecting immaterial elements, and changing the sound.

This paper researched social, cultural background, psychological bases, design method and design types with regard to user's participation in space design. This issue of user's participation became one of major paradigms of 21st century not only for space design but also for every other cultural phenomenon. First chapter is an introduction. Second chapter tried to assert the fact that user's participation will be the important aspect for future space design by proving the correlation between user's participation in space design and the important social changes. It also tried to prove the psychological reasons why the users' participations affect the level of user satisfaction. It can be explained by Behaviorism which insisted that our outer behaviors affect our inner attitudes and preferences. Third chapter explained the affordances in design which works as a means of inducing user's participatory behaviors. Fourth chapter proposed the types of participatory space designs classified by the users' behavioral features and their characteristics, intending that they will verify the realization of the theories which we discussed in the former chapters regarding the users' participation in space design. The fifth chapter is a conclusion which says that outwardly, those participations are simply making external changes in design. but actually, they are reflecting more profound social changes and making important psychological effects on users.

This thesis has purpose of explaining that light is not only appreciated but also physically percepted in contemporary space design and examining effects of space experience through the physical perception. In keeping with such developments, light has been perceived as the object of another architectural tool in modern space design and has provided men with new experience by providing space image and function different from previous ones. With the expansion of the area of light, light has changed a space that is not a simple architectural factor into the essential concept that gives the architectural space image ! by combining it with architectural space, structure, form and materials throughout the whole process from the beginning to the completion. Through phenomenological approach, light is percepted and experienced by body movement, intervention of senses and memories, and passing of time. The percepted and experienced light brings increase of mutual understanding in space, activation and continuance of user's sensation, recreational experience by event occurrence and space experience effect thorough information from media.

The meaning of the space planning which has from modern interior space has played important role, space composition planning itself is the concept creation tool as well as the unique expression sphere in field of interior space far away from fixed idea relevant to the existing space which was only simple division or secondary element in design. Thus, this current work expresses that the space-Function is related with space-division as well as basic designed-conceptual work process including the space is formed. Furthermore, through the side-composition with form, it activates the various space aspect perceptually, which created the visual environment in using lightning, reflection of glass and penetrated nature etc. The keyword on elevation design concept is as like various aspects, third dimension, non-materiality and symbolical meaning. In addition, it provides the color space equipped with functionality and artistry capable to arouse the diverse sensual capacity to space users on default of image language.

One of frequent phenomena in the contemporary cultural field is the alternative or accompanying interweaving phenomena which happens in the relative connection of A, B, and C. The power of interweaving mixture is one of energies which unify the contemporary cultural phenomena, and it appears as a major phenomena in the recent popular digital architecture. In this study, the mixture, shape, and contents in the contemporary space design is analyzed as a point of view of Post-Structuralism. Namely, the digital part and non-digital part of alternative and circulating existence in the space are classified and the interweaving phenomena in the contemporary space design are proved. It is studied for digital part and physical space to conjunct the hole space and smooth space of Deleuze as part of interweaving phenomena. It is clear that the compatible concept of the hole space and smooth space is crossed complexly or is coexisting in circulating and extending, and is showed as interweaving phenomena in one space.
