The aim of this study is to analyze the intrinsic meaning of housing according to meaning of ritual space in Korean housing. At a traditional housing the rites give a sacred characteristic and grade of ranks to space. According to rites Malu(Dae-Chung) is a male's space and An-Bang is a female's space. At a present housing the central characteristic of An-Bang and sexual division of space are weakened and the space of dead person is disappered. But the rites and ritual space give sacred characteristic stability and identification in housing.

A Damek-Ricci space is a typical locally harmonic manifold, which is a generalization of the rank one symmetric space of the non-compact type. In this paper, we determine explicitly the characteristic function of a Damek-Ricci space by calculating the determinant of a Jacobi tensor.

The purpose of this study is to stand assembly the meaning and function of entry space with analysing their social and cultural characteristic. The entry space is the linkable place between inner space and out space, and that is the transition place to be experienced two opposing characteristic. Till now the entry space has not taken effect as symbol needed to the resident and observer, and that has been a tendency to shrink as the minimal sign of entrance. So thus, it is in need of studying the entry space's specific and characterizing structurally as expanded function. For the purpose, this study define newly the meaning, function and composition of entry space in an apartment building, and try to find how to reinforce a resident identity. This study propose justification that the entry space isn't boxing space minimally but enforcing symbol presented clearness of composition and vital character.

This paper intends to predict characteristic of the balcony space composition in apartment that residents want by analyzing floorplans utilizing balcony that is directly described by housewives in competitions. According to change of age, Modern's lifestyle is variously changed and future housing life may undergo changes continuously. Therefore, development of apartment housing plans is reflected by grasping and collecting space residents desire. Purpose of study is 1) arrangement characteristic of balcony space housewives prefer 2) relations characteristic between balcony and room adjoining balcony 3) characteristic of balcony space composition Through this study, the public space that family use together prefer facing the front side and the kitchen is required to face the front side. Balcony adjoining bedroom is utilized according to user of the bedroom, and independent space like hobby room do not have distinctive relationships with adjacent space. Recent trend that space is reflected in various lifestyle of resident require needs that exercise room for well-being life and other room for various functions. Based upon the study, the results show the basic information and understanding how the plans are supposed to change, particularly to facilitate the usage of the balcony.

This study is focused on the indeterminacy of the contemporary social structure based on the philosophical concept of relationship. The purpose of this study is to present the index of the space planning that the contemporary society demands through analysis of a characteristics of the indeterminate program. As the result, we got a characteristic and a design method of the following indeterminate programs. (1)The characteristic of the interior space programs are in such cases as combined, the continuance, the pile, the juxtaposition, mixing and interference etc. (2) The characteristics of space planning are multiple changes of the space occupation, various sight experiences, folding structure, expansion of flow space, the insertion of a between spates etc. (3) The characteristic of space design expression is addition of various functions tv unification of a structural element and an element of furniture.

In the middle of that a information form is being formlessly changed to diverse deirections, a design and a space as physical consequence show not only a allegory but mutually relational charicteristic meaning a nonboundary and nonlinear form by development of modem digital culture. Following development of the modern digital culture, a design and space which are physical results, show a point of correlative specificity, allegory, nonlinear and nonboundary, Not only a design and culture but also various circles handle a hypertext as a representative pivot in this change. this has same contexts as rhizome possessing a asignifiante and nomadic characteristic said by Felix Guattari and Gilles Deleuze. An ideal of rhizome space shows historical decisions, unexpected accidents, a concepts, an individual. a group, social compositions above an contrifugal exterior force, This study examines into surroundings designed by a hypertext and rhizome through a case accordingly and infers an ultramodern characteristic in conventional precognition with synthesizing a peculiarity of the digital generation space.

In this paper for an object grasped by a robot hand to work in stiffness control domain we first investigate the number of fingers for successful stiffness modulation in the object operational space. Next we propose a new compliance control method for robot hands which consist of two steps. RIFDS(Resolved Inter-Finger Decoupling Solver) is to decompose the desired compliance characteristic specified in the op-erational space into the compliance characteristic in the fingertip space without inter-finger coupling and RIJDS(Resolved Inter-Joint Decoupling Solver) is to decompose the fingertip space without inter-finger coupling and RIJDS(Resolved inter-Joint Decoupling Solver) is to decompose the compliance characteristic in the finger-tip space into the compliance characteristic given in the joint space without inter-joint coupling. Based on the analysis results the finger structure should be biominetic in the sense that either kniematic redundancy or force redundancy are required to implement the proposed compliance control scheme, Five-bar fingered robot hands are used as an illustrative example to implement the proposed compliance control method. To show the effectiveness of the proposed compliance control method simulations are performed for two-fingered and three-fingered robot hands.

도시의 발전에 따라 상징적인 건축물 및 대형 광장, 차 없는 거리 등이 도시의 중요한 특징으로 부각되고 있으며 이와 함께 공공 예술에 대한 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 도시의 공공 공간을 중심으로 인터랙티브 미디어 아트 활동을 하는 9명의 세계적인 작가 또는 그룹을 선정하고, 이들의 대표적인 작품을 대상으로 흥미유발. 인터랙션, 장소의존성, 심미성, 상업성, 매체, 장비의 7개 항목을 기준으로 현대 공공 공간의 인터랙티브 미디어 아트의 특징을 분석하도록 한다.

This study is about a relationship of architecture and polyphony music. In the field of interior architecture, there have been many tries of applying characteristics of music, such as abstraction and nature of time for users of space to have new experience. It has been possible because architecture and music have similarities in many ways. Regarding using proportional characteristic in architecture and music, the both fields are enormously related in some ways. The purpose of this study is explaining of possibility of architectural expression in music and suggesting a way of analysing architectural design based on musical elements emphasizing proportional characteristic. Therefore, it is going to analyse Counterpoint of Bach, which is well expressed in music and compare it with proportional characteristic of space through this study.
