The characteristics of aerodynamic drag for Transonic Vehicle in Evacuated Tube was investigated using computational fluid dynamics. At first, parametric study on the system was performed according to the Mach number of the vehicle's speed ($Mach_v$), evacuated pressure of the tube ($Pre_t$), and blockage ratio (BR) between the vehicle and tube via axisymmetric flow analysis; the $Mach_v$ ranged from 0.3 to 1.0. The $Pre_t$ was 100, 1,000 and 10,000 Pa and the BR was 0.1, 0.2, and 0.4. In the calculations, the aerodynamic drag of the vehicle was larger when the BR and the pressure became larger. Concerning the $Mach_v$, the drag coefficient ($C_d$) became the maximum when the $Mach_v$ was near the Kantrowitz limit and decreased, which showed the typical transonic flow pattern. Then, three dimensional flow analysis was performed by changing the $Mach_v$ from 0.3 to 1.0 and setting the BR and the $Pre_t$ as 0.34 and 100 Pa, respectively by referring the Hyperloop Alpha documentation. From the calculations, the $C_d$ from three dimensional flow simulations were somewhat larger than those of axisymmetric ones because of the eccentricity of the vehicle inside the tube. However, the pattern of $C_d$ according to the $Mach_v$ was compatible with that of axisymmetric ones.
Digitalization is creating a variety of changes and innovations in our business environment. In manufacturing, robots have long been used for automation to innovate processing speed and quality. The RPA brings these innovations in manufacturing sites to the office space. The purpose of this study is to improve productivity for simple, repetitive tasks in these office space. For identify the potential of automation related to productivity improvement, I looked at the concept of business automation, and then simulated the five areas of business documentation works with agile methodology. In conclusion, I confirmed that productivity improvement of 97.3% in quality inspection and 31.7% in editorial design is possible, and examined the direction to apply to actual work. Based on these results, future study will explore the application of Intelligent Process Automation (IPA).
The most common conception of a work of art is as a unique object. In conservation the prevalent notion of authenticity is based on physical integrity, this guides judgements about loss. For the majority of traditional art objects, minimising change to the physical work means minimising loss, where loss is understood as compromising the (physical) integrity of a unique object, and this forms the focus of conservation. Fundamental to conservators' approach to the conservation of contemporary art is the notion that the artist's intent should guide conservators' practice. Since most of the artists creating installation art are living, it is possible to interview them about the details of the installation, attitudes to changing technology, parameters of acceptable change and their views about what aspects of the installation are essential to preserve. Conservation is no longer focused on intervening to repair the art object but has become concerned with documentation and determining what change is acceptable and managing those changes. In order to accurately install works in the future it is necessary to broaden our focus to include elements of an installation that affect the viewer's experience. This might mean documenting the space, the acoustics, the balance of the different channels of sound, the light levels and the way one enters and leaves the installation. These are as important as the more tangible or material elements in the conservation of the work. It is also necessary to work with industry and specialists outside the field of conservation to develop new skills to preserve and manage new types of objects in our care. We can also document the less tangible details of an installation such as the light levels, the character of the sound etc. This is a new area of conservation and as a profession our understanding and knowledge will deepen with time. All of these strategies work together to help to limit the risk of not being able to accurately install these works in the future. Deciding what can be changed and how to best care for any element of an installation will depend on its meaning and role. For both contemporary and traditional objects such decisions are documented by conservators and although the focus of the conservator may have moved away from the material object, the approach is still rooted in traditional notions of collection care.
Norwegian technology related to preinvestigations, planning, design and construction of large underground caverns is wellknown worldwide. However, so far this technology is only slightly verified through scientiffic reports and documentation. The "Rock cavern stadium" research program is an interdisciplinary program related to the ongoing building and future use of Gjovik Olympic Subsite which is the largest cavern in the world for public purposes with a span of 61 meters and a height of 25 meters. The estimated budget for this program is about USD 4 million which is made possible through grants from The Royal Norwegian Council for Scientific and Industrial Research as well as through contributions from Norwegian and Swedish companies that are participating. The program is carried out in collaboration with The Foundation for Scientific and Industrial Research at the Norwegian Institute of Technology. The Norwegian Geotechnical Institute and The Eastern Norway Research Center. The research program will continue until the end of 1994 to ensure that input comes from a full period of use in this stadium with different activities like exhibitions, conferences, concerts etc being included as verification through full-scale measurements and observations. The research program has five subtasks. Three of these are related to subjects like Energy consumption. HVAC installations. Fire safety design, Engineering geology and Rock mechanics, Environmental aspects. The fourth subtask is concerned with the collection of basic data, results and experience from these three subtasks to provide a basis for national Norwegian guidelines related to this interdisciplinary subject area. The guidelines will first be presented as a manual for planning and engineering purposes. The realization of this research program is a unique opportunity to enhance the expertise that has been acquired from this cavern stadium. By involving research in this extraordinary project from the excavation and building phase to its subsequent use. this will give the participants know-how and expertise which is very much in demand internationally. The coordination of the international activities between the participants as well as preparation of participations and presentations in international conferences and symposium are included in the fifth task of this national research program.
There is an increasing interest in migration legacy systems to new hardware platforms and to new software development paradigms. The reason is that high maintenance costs and lack of documentation. In order to migrate or transform legacy system, various approaches such as screen scrapping, wrapping, semi-development, and re-development, tools, and methodologies are introduced until now. However, architecture or requirements level's transformation is not suggested because most of those approaches focus on code-level transformation or a few model-level transform. In this paper, we suggest a meta-model driven approach applying 3D space concept, which can be applied into architecture and requirement phase. Proposed integrated model drives seamless migration or co-evolution from code to architecture of reverse engineering and from architecture to code of forward engineering.
Purpose: Tunnel widening following anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is commonly observed. Graft micromotion is an important contributing factor. Unlike fixed-loop devices that require a turning space, adjustable-loop devices fit the graft snugly in the tunnel. The purpose of this study is to compare tunnel widening between these devices. Our hypothesis is that the adjustable-loop device will create lesser tunnel widening. Materials and Methods: Ninety-eight patients underwent ACL reconstruction from January 2013 to December 2014. An adjustable-loop device was used in 54 patients (group 1) and a fixed-loop device was used in 44 patients (group 2). Maximum tunnel widening at 1 year was measured by the L'Insalata's method. Functional outcome was measured at 2-year follow-up. Results: The mean widening was 4.37 mm (standard deviation [SD], 2.01) in group 1 and 4.09 mm (SD, 1.98) in group 2 (p=0.511). The average International Knee Documentation Committee score was 78.40 (SD, 9.99) in group 1 and 77.11 (SD, 12.31) in group 2 (p=0.563). The average Tegner-Lysholm score was 87.25 (SD, 3.97) in group 1 and 87.29 in group 2 (SD, 4.36) (p=0.987). There was no significant difference in tunnel widening and functional outcome between the groups. Conclusions: The adjustable-loop device did not decrease the amount of tunnel widening when compared to the fixed-loop device. There was no significant difference in outcome between the two fixation devices. Level of Evidence: Level 3, Retrospective Cohort.

Although the EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) and MCS (Mission Control System) have many similar or even identical functions, the EGSE used for assembly, integration and validation phase and the MCS for the mission operations phase are normally developed separately and used by different groups of engineers. However, the common ground system for EGSE and MCS has developed and many space missions such as PROBA (PRoject for On-Board Autonomy), ROSETTA, MARS EXPRESS, CRYOSAT (Cryosphere Satellite), GOCE (Gravity field and steady state Ocean Circulation Explorer), and GALILEO have used or will use it to minimize risk, reduce cost and improve overall product quality. It is based on ECSS (European Cooperation for Space Standards) E70 which is the international standard for ground systems and operations published by ECSS E70 Working Group. The ECSS E70 contains the basic rules, principles and requirements applied to the engineering of the ground systems and the execution of mission operations. This paper introduces standardization policy, organization and standard documentation in ECSS. The overview of ECSS E70 such as status, purpose and contents is also described in this paper.
Rammed Aggregate Pier (RAP) method is intermediate foundation between deep and shallow foundation, and it has been built in world wide. RAP represents a relatively new method that has grown steadily over 19 years since Geopier of USA developed this revolutionary method in 1989. The investigation and research in domestic is not accomplished. In this paper, the examined details of different spacing of piles, bearing capacities, respectively, conclude with recommendations on how RAP can be used in future needs. This documentation further provides comparisons of the laboratory test results which were obtained from changing the spacing of piles, namely installed rammed aggregate pier. Laboratory model test was administered in a sand box. Strain control test was conducted to determine the bearing capacities of the piers; 20 mm, 30 mm and 40 mm RAP in diameter using drilling equipment to make holes were installed in sand at initial relative densities of 40%. By comparing different spacing of piles, in this experiment, piles are spaced structually span, form a ring shape, narrowing the distance of each other, to the center. the result shows that as diameter of pier is bigger in diameter, bearing capacity also dramatically increased due to raised stiffness. Also, as the space between each piers was closed, the settlement rate of soil was decreased significantly. From the test results, as the space between each piles were getting closer, it allows greater chances to have more resistance to deformation, and shows more improved stability of structures. After from the verification work which is continuous leads the accumulation of the site measuring data which is various, and bearing capacity and the settlement is a plan where the research will be advanced for optimum installed RAP.

The purpose of this study is analyze the impact on users' cognition of design concept, satisfaction of design concept, adapted park space, and effect of design concepts on park use satisfaction. The study sites are Central Mountain Park and Lake Park in Gwanggyo New Town, Suwon. We analyzed importance-satisfaction of park facilities in the park and preference-satisfaction of park. The results of this study are as follows. First, generally users visit the park as a family unit. Second, trails got high scores in importance-satisfaction of park facilities. Third, park users' satisfaction received a high score generally, but it doesn't show statistic significance with users' cognition of design concept. Fourth, cognition of the two parks' design concept and design strategy got a high score - over three points on average - based on the 5 - point Likert scale. However, upon analysis of users' cognition of design concept and satisfaction of design concept adapted park space, there is no statistic significance. Therefore, we noticed that the park's design concept had an effect on park users' satisfaction; rather, personal preference and satisfaction of users had more impact on satisfaction. On the other hand, this study was limited in that we didn't survey across all four seasons and had few target areas. But it has some significance in that we used a visual documentation, attaching existing photos including design concept, to increase users' understanding. Also, we directly asked about the parks' user design concept and strategy.
The color appearance of cultural heritage are essential factors for manufacturing technique interpretation, conservation treatment usage, and condition monitoring. Therefore, this study systematically established color reproduction procedures based on the digital color management system for the portrait of Gwon Eungsu. Moreover, various application strategies for recording and conserving the cultural heritage were proposed. Overall color reproduction processes were conducted in the following order: photography condition setting, standard color measurements, digital photography, color correction, and color space creation. Therefore, compared with the color appearance, the digital image applied to a camera maker profile indicated an average color difference of 𝜟10.1. However, the digital reproduction result based on the color management system exhibits an average color difference of 𝜟1.1, which is close to the color appearance. This means that although digital photography conditions are optimized, recording the color appearance is difficult when relying on the correction algorithm developed by the camera maker. Therefore, the digital color reproduction of cultural heritage is required through color correction and color space creation based on the raw digital image, which is a crucial process for documenting the color appearance. Additionally, the recording of color appearance through digital color reproduction is important for condition evaluation, conservation treatment, and restoration of cultural heritage. Furthermore, standard data of imaging analysis are available for discoloration monitoring.
