The mortality of wild mullet, Mugil cephalus was detected in Kwang- Yang bay on February, 2002. The mullet were infected with Myxobolus sp., the cysts of Myxobolus sp. were found in the mesentery, liver, gill and pharyngeal pocket. The histological findings suggested a systemic infection by the Myxobolus sp.. The spores were measured 10-12 (10.9)${\mu}m$ in length, 9-10 (9.4) ${\mu}m$ in width, 6.4-7.2 (6.8) ${\mu}m$ in thickness, with polar capsules of 4-5.2 (4.4) ${\mu}m$ in length and 2.5-3.3 (2.9) ${\mu}m$ in width.

자연계로부터 locust bean gum이 들어 있는 선택배지에서 투명환을 형성하는 mannan 분해능을 갖는 미생물을 스크링 하였고 이를 Aeromonas sp. 로 동정하였다. Aero monas sp. 로부터 염색체 DNA를 분리하여 EcoRI으로 절단하여 대장균에 형질전환한 후 대장균 콜로니 주위에서 locust bean gum을 분해하여 투명환을 형성하는 대장균을 찾아냈다. 형질전환된 대장균으로부터 플라스미드를 분리하여 동일한 제한효소를 처리하여 확인한 결과 10 kd의 Aeromonas sp. 염섹체 DNA에 $\beta$-mannanase 유전자 존재하였다. 대장균에서 발현된 $\beta$-mannanase 의최적 반응 pH와 최적 반응온도는 각각 6.0과 $50^{\circ}C$로서 모균인 Aeromonas sp. 와 동일하였다.

Twelve species of siphonostomatoid copepods mainly associated with marine invertebrates are recorded from Korean waters. Nine species are new to science: Arctopontius minutus n. sp., A. adelphus n. sp, and Dyspontius alatus n. sp. in the family Artotrogidae; Asterocheres horridus n. sp., A. cuspis n. sp., A. quadridens n. sp., Scottocheres mipoensis n. sp., Asteropontoides acutirostris n. sp. and Callomyzon macrocephalus n. gen. n. sp. in the family Asterocheridae. The new genus Callomyzon is distinguished from other genera in the family by having six setae on the third endopodal segment of leg 3, four spines and three setae on the third exopodal segment of leg 4 and three setae on the third endopodal segment of leg 4. Three new records of Korea, Asterocheres lilljeborgi Boeck, 1859 and A. simulans (T. Scott, 1898) in the Asterocheridae, and Parartotrogus arcticus T. and A. Scott, 1901 in the Cancerillidae are redescribed as the circum-Arctic species.

한국의 서해안 수 개 지역의 사구와 바닷가에서 채집한 결과 4신종 Pseudanurida longisetosa n. sp., Onychiurus donjiensis n. sp., O. jindoensis n. sp. 그리고 Folsomia minuta n. sp.가 밝혀져 이를 보고한다. 이 가운데 Pseudanuria longisetosa와 Folsomia minuta 2종은 패총에서 채집되었다. 본 연구 결과 지금까지 보고된 한국산 호염성 톡토기는 모두 11종이 된다.

Nine new species of Pseudanthessius are described from tropical waters, five of which from the Philippines (P. boholensis n. sp., P. angustus n. sp., P. firmus n. sp., P. ardius n. sp., and P. lativentris n. sp.), two from Vietnam (P. remicaudatus n. sp. and P. nodosus n. sp.), and one each from Micronesia (P. kosraensis n. sp.) and the Thai coast of the Andaman Sea (P. fossulicolus n. sp.). Pseudanthessius dentatus Kim, 2000 which was known originally from the Korean coast of the Yellow Sea, and P. planus Kim, 2007 originally from the Moluccas, are rediscovered on the Thai coast of the Andaman Sea and the Philippines, respectively.

Synechococcus sp.의 cyanophage는 early, late viral function 모두 빛을 필요로 하는 것으로 나타났으며 증식 초기 2시간 동안 암처리한 경우 200%의 burst size를 나타내었다. Dark 상태에서의 Synechococcus sp.의 cyanophage증식은 대조군에 비해 11%의 burst size를 나타내었다. 광합성 억제제인 DCMU를 $10^{-6}$M로 처리했을 때 virus yield가 2%로 감소했으며 $10^{-4}$M의 CCCP는 cyanophage의 증식을 거의 중지시켰다. 또한 이러한 숙주세포의 광합성 의존도는 LPP-1, N-1과 AS-1보다는 크나 SM-1보다는 작은 것으로 나타났다.

The conformation of a neuropeptide, substance P (SP), in isotropic (q = 0.5) acidic bicelles was investigated using two-dimensional NMR techniques. By the nuclear Overhauser effect (NOE) cross peaks between SP and long-chain lipid molecules SP was probed to bind on the flat surface of the disc-like bicelles. Structural analysis of NMR data indicated that the helical conformation of SP extended to the C-terminal region of Leu10 as well as in the mid-region from Pro4 to Phe8. As compared with the conformations of SP bound on the sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) or the dodecylphosphocholine (DPC) micelles with curved surfaces, the surface curvature of the membrane mimics was found to be one of the major factors inducing the biologically relevant conformation of SP. The negative surface charge of the membrane is also a key factor inducing both the binding of SP on the membrane and its biologically active structure.

Genistein, a inhibitor of the progression of G$_{1}$ and G$_{2}$ phase of the mammalian cell cycle, was discovered through a unique screening system, in which effects of microbial metabolites on the cycle progression of the cultured mouse mammalian carcinoma cell were monitored by flow cytometry. The inhibitor was extracted from the fermentation broth of Streptomyces sp. ZF10 with ethyl acetate, and purified by silica gel column chromatography and HPLC.

Randomly Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) 기술을 이용하여 국내 식품으 로부터 분리한 Listeria sp. 분리균주에 대한 DNA polymorphism을 분석하고 유연환계를 비 교하며, 유용 marker를 개발할 목적으로 10가지 10-mer primer를 이용하여 PCR을 수행한 결과 5개의 primer(OPA-01, OP-26-01, OP-26-02, OPB-01, OP-26-10)가 선별되었고, 76개 의 DNA 단편이 증폭되었다. 이 중 OPA-01과 OP-26-10 promer에 의한 약 1.5 kb와 0.7 kb의 증폭 band는 모든 Listeria 분리균에서 관찰할수 있었으나, 이 증폭된 DNA 단편은 Listeria sp.에만 특이적인 것은 아니었다. NTSYS 프로그램을 이용해서 Listeria sp. 분리구 간의 유전적 유연관계를 알아본 결과 7개의 cluster로 나누어졌고 유사도는 대체로 0.54~ 0.93사이였으며, 특히, No.3과 No.20은 93%로 가장 높은 유사도를 나타내었고, No.7과 No.24 또는 No.7과 No.45는 54%로 가장 낮은 유사도를 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는 RAPS 기술을 이용하여 쉽게 Listeria sp.를 subspecies로 분류할 수 있음을 시사하였다.

한국의 정보통신산업진흥원(NIPA)에서 제공하는 SP 품질 인증은 소프트웨어 개발 프로세스의 역량을 평가 및 인증하는 제도이다. SP 품질인증은 국내에서 개발된 인증모델로서 전국적으로 확산되고 있다. 최근 보안성이 문제되고 있으나, SP 품질 인증에서는 별도의 보안 속성에 대한 프로세스를 정의하고 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 SP 품질 인증을 획득한 기업 및 조직들의 보안성 향상을 위해 ISO 27001을 기반으로 하는 새로운 보안 프로세스를 제시한다. 제안 프로세스를 통해 보안 위협요소들을 검출해낼 수 있고, 이러한 요소들에 대처할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 또한 검출된 보안 취약점은 보안 척도로 이용될 수 있으므로 시스템의 보안 측면 관리가 가능하다.
