Self-potential (SP) surveys measure naturally occurring differences in electrical potential in the absence of artificial sources and have been applied to various fields since the first application in mineral explorations. Among various causes of SP occurrences, streaming potential is generated by the flow of groundwater, and makes SP surveys suitable for the exploration of groundwater table fluctuation, fractures, sinkholes and landslide occurrences. Recently, there has been many studies that applied SP surveys to monitor water leakage through dikes and embankments. In this review paper, we first review the characteristics and theoretical backgrounds of streaming potential in saturated or unsaturated porous media to introduce it in the embankment among various application field. After the review of the background theory, we review the past cases of field SP surveys on dikes and embankments and also the characteristics of field streaming potential data in the surveys. Further, by analyzing past studies of qualitative as well as quantitative interpretation of SP survey data, we show the possibility of quantitative interpretation of streaming potential data obtained on dikes and embankments. Consequently, it is hope that this review paper helps researches on SP surveys on dikes and embankments, and provides basis for interpretation methods of the SP data to identify leaked area and further leakage rate (or permeability).

Streaming potential (SP) arises from fluid flow through effectively connected pores. From this potential, formation water information as well as fluid flow properties can be estimated. As micro particles being located in boundary between subsurface porous media and fluid are charged to form electrical double layer, fluid flow caused by several reasons generates SP, one of electrokinetic phenomena. Occurrence mechanism of SP is complex and signal strength is relatively weak compared to noise. However, application of self potential survey using SP to monitoring of formation fluid is expanding because of its' convenience of exploration without artificial source and repetitiveness of signal. This paper accounts for the occurrence mechanism of SP studied before, including governing equations and analyzes previous various case studies of SP according to the change of physical properties of materials. It helps to increase understanding about SP and also lays the foundations of the application of SP to fields.

This study estimated mode choice models for access travel and neighborhood travel from an SP survey in metropolitan areas where shared e-scooter services are offered. Model results show that travel time and travel cost have negative effects on mode utility. It is also revealed that people are more sensitive to travel time in access travel, whereas they are more influenced by travel cost in neighborhood travel. Looking at individual and household attributes, it has a positive effect when under 40 yerars of age, owning bikes, being a public transportation user, while it has been shown a negative effect in less than 3 million won in monthly household income and owning individual cars.

Thirty-six dinoflagellate cysts, representing 15 genera were identified in the surface sediments obtained from the northwestern East China Sea. Three cyst morphotypes found in this survey have not previously been described in the East China Sea and adjacent waters: Seleno­pemphix sp. 2, Selenopemphix sp. 3 and Trinovantedinium sp. 1. In the northwestern East China Sea, Operculodinium centrocarpum, Spiniferites bulloideus and ellipsoidal cysts of Alexandrium were commonly observed. Moreover, it was recognized that the ellipsoidal cysts of Alexandrium, whose motile cells of A tamarense and/or A catenella are responsible to paralytic shellfish poisoning, distributed not only restricted to the coastal areas but also to the offshore stations far from the Changjiang River mouth.

The marine sponge Petrosia sp. is known for various bioactive compounds including the recently reported polyacetylenic alcohols. In our continuous survey of bioactive compounds from the Petrosia sp. collected from Korean waters, a cyclopentanepentol which rarely occurs in natural products has been isolated. It was found to inhibit DNA replication at the initiation step.

During a survey of putative fungal pathogens infecting oak trees in the Gangwon Province of the Republic of Korea, a fungus resembling a Ceratocystis sp. was repeatedly isolated from natural wounds on Quercus variabilis. Morphological comparisons and DNA sequence comparisons based on partial β-tubulin and TEF-1α gene regions showed that the fungus resided in a distinct lineage. This novel Ceratocystis species is described here as C. quercicola sp. nov. This is the first novel species of Ceratocystis to be reported from Korea. A pathogenicity test showed that it can cause lesions on inoculated trees but that it had a very low level of aggressiveness. The discovery of this fungus suggests that additional taxa residing in Ceratocystis are likely to be discovered in Korea in the future.

1. 저자들이 1959년 7월 14일부터 22일까지에 강원도 설악산의 9개소 즉 장수태, 십이탕골, 백담사, 오세암, 수강동, 봉정암, 가야동, 마등령, 및 신흥사에서 주로 복숭아 trap 법과 sweeping 법으로 채집한 Drosophilidae 는 4 촉 4 아촉 22종 512 개체였다. 2. D.auraria, D. testacea, D.brachynephros, D.sexivitata, D.unispina, D.bifasciata, Amiota variegata, D.angularis 및 D. histrio가 다수 채집되었으며 Mycodrosophilachr과 Chymomyza 촉의 종은 본 채집에서 볼 수 없었고 다른곳에서 흔히 잡히는 D.bizohnata D.bizonnata, D.nigrmaculata 도 채집되어지지 않았다. 3. D.sexivittata, D.testacea 의 Polymorphism, D.brachynephros, D. angularis,D. unispina의 구별, D. lacertosa 와 Amiota variegata 의 crossvein, A. alboguttata 의 genitalia , D, histrio의 abominal band 및 crossvein , A. alboguttata 의 genitalia, D.histrio의 abominal band 및 crossvein $C_3$ bristle 문제를 검토했다. 4. D.kuntzeisms 한국산 Drosophilidae 목록에 새로 첨가할 미기록종이며 미지종 3 종 즉 A(A.) sp., d.(D.) sp., D.(S.) sp like helvetica BURLA 의 검토를 예의 진행중에 있다.

Araneidae Clerck, 1757 is one of the largest families within the order Araneae Clerck, 1757, comprising 3,065 species in 177 genera. To date, two species of the genus Mengora O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1889 and four species of the genus Araniella Chamberlin & Ivie, 1942 have been recorded in Korea. During a seasonal survey of the spider fauna in mountainous terrain conducted from 2018 to 2019, females of Mangora foliosa Zhu & Yin, 1998 and a male of Araniella robusta sp. nov. were collected with a sweep net between shrubs in mixed forests from Mt. Juwangsan National Park. In this paper, we provide a diagnosis of the new species and descriptions including measurements and morphological illustrations. The new species, Araniella robusta sp. nov., can be easily distinguished from other species in the genus Araniella Chamberlin & Ivie, 1942 by a branched conductor with two blunt tips and conjugation of the embolus tip and terminal apophysis.

Purpose: This is a following study of preceding study about application and improvement of acupuncture benefits in OB & GY disease that was performed in 2007. And this study was performed to complement and compare with a preceding study. Methods: The questionnaire used in preceding survey was distributed to general korean medical doctors who have mainly worked in oriental medical clinic. And results of this survey was compared with results of preceding survey. Results: Results of two surveys were almost similar. 1. The common suitable the sick and wounded name of Ob & Gy disease thought be added in Intra-abdominal acupuncture(腹腔內; CV13 ${\cdot}$ CV16 ${\cdot}$ CV10) in two surveys were dysmenorrhea(K05). infertility(K15), JingHa(pelvic tumor) (K11). In Puncture each adjoining acu-points in one insertion(透刺; SP6-GB39)were dysmenorrhea(K05), climacteric syndrome(K04). amenorrhea (K03), In Puncture each adjoining acu-points in one insertion(透刺; PC6-TE5) were climacteric syndrome(K04), hyperemesis(K16.0), dysmenorrhea(K05). 2. The common acupuncture benefits items that postpartum pain syndrome(K29) should be added as suitable the sick and wounded name were Intra-articular acupuncture(關節內; LI15, SI10, GB30), Intervertebral acupuncture (脊椎間; GV14, 16, 6, 4, 12, 11, 9, 8, 3), Puncture each adjoining acu-points in one insertion (透刺; SP6-GB39). Conclusion: Based on this study, Survey to more KMDs should be performed. And the academic and clinical verifications that supports this results should be supplied.

Purpose : In the part of Ob & Gy disease, the health insurance application is very limited. This study has been performed for gaining the basic data of enlargement of insurance coverage and reform of the insurance system corresponded with real clinical conditions. Methods : The survey has been practiced twice, the subjective questionnaire was used at the first survey. Then the questionnaire written using the results of first survey was distributed to the Korean medical doctors(KMD) who participated in the autumn symposium of the society of Oriental Obstetrics & Gynecology. Results : 1. The main Ob & Gy disease that the acupuncture treatment has been used actually or thought be positively necessary on the clinic were Dysmenorrhea(including premenstrual syndrome), Climacteric syndrome, Menstrual disorder, Postpartum Pain syndrome. Amenorrhea, Low back pain with pregnancy, JingHa(pelvic tumor), Infertility etc. 2. The main additional complex the sick and wounded names given to visiting patients for Ob & Gy disease as the limits of acupuncture items of insurance coverage were Low back Pain(J10), Qi-stasis(B13.0), SimHwaHangYeom(C2l.1). 3. Suitable the sick and wounded name of Ob & Gy disease thought be added in BokGangNae(Intra-abdominal acupuncture: CV13 ${\cdot}$CV16${\cdot}$CV10). TuJa(Puncture each adjoining acu-points in one insertion : SP6-GB39), TuJa(PC6-TE5) among acupuncture items of insurance coverage were Dysmenorrhea(K05). Menstrual disorder(K02) and Dysmenorrhea(K05), Hyperemesis(K16.0). 4. Climacteric syndrome(K04) and Dysmenorrhea(K05) should be added as suitable the sick and wounded name of TuJa(SP6-GB39), and Postpartum pain syndrome(K29) as KwanJeolGangNea(Intra-articular acupuncture: S35, LE201). Conclusion : Standing on this study, additional survey to general KMD should be continued. And the academic verifications through the oriental medical literatures and RCT papers on acupuncture should be also required.
