저압 모의선로에 소형발전원 연계시 특성 (Connected Characteristics for Small Generation Source of Low Voltage Model Grids)

  • In this paper, we analyze the typical phase voltage and line current waveform characteristics of the distribution system with 3 phase small synchronous generation source in case with load and non-load group, in order to investigate the power quality for end load connected of generation source. As demonstrated by our experimental results, the distortion and power quality of phase voltage and line current waveform were relatively good for low voltage 3 phase model grids connected of 3 phase small synchronous generation source in case with non-load group. However, distortion and power quality of voltage and current waveform was poor for low voltage 3 phase model grids connected to 3 phase small synchronous generation source in the load group with some phase voltage and frequency difference. From the above results, we conclude that the phase voltage and frequency of 3 phase generation source must be identical to that of distribution system source to maximize the power quality. Also, special attention is required in case of having load group or non-load group to 3 phase generation source.

열생성을 가진 원형발열체의 외부 유속의 영향에 대한 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis on Effect of the Environmental Velocity for Circular Heating Source with Heat Generation)

  • This paper represents the numerical analysis on effect of the environmental velocity for circular heating source with heat generation. In general heating system, the oil and sheath heater is widely used, but these systems have many problems. So, the heating source with carbon ingredient has been researched in many country about manufacture, thermal and electrical properties. In this research, a circular heating source was studied through numerical analysis on several conditions of unsteady state, beat generation and environmental velocity. The temperature distributions at steady state is appeared as a non-linear pattern with variations of environmental velocity. So, the correlation equation between temperature at steady state and environmental velocity was obtained.

  • This paper is a study on the heat generation characteristics of the carbon heating source with high temperature. The main variables of this study are the input current and the amount of carbon heating source. As the results of the experiment in the waste rate of carbon heating source. The case of carbon heating source 300g was large than 500g. As the input current and the temperature are increased, the resistance values of carbon heating source were large. The Joule heat was represented the large value as the amount of heating source decrease with the input current. Finally, the heating source was represented the electrical steady state as the input current is increase.

Design and Implementation of Modified Current Source Based Hybrid DC - DC Converters for Electric Vehicle Applications

  • In this study, we present the modern hybrid system based power generation for electric vehicle applications. We describe the hybrid structure of modified current source based DC - DC converters used to extract the maximum power from Photovoltaic (PV) and Fuel Cell system. Due to reduced dc-link capacitor requirement and higher reliability, the current source inverters (CSI) better compared to the voltage source based inverter. The novel control strategy includes Distributed Maximum Power Point Tracking (DMPPT) for photovoltaic (PV) and fuel cell power generation system. The proposed DC - DC converters have been analyzed in both buck and boost mode of operation under duty cycle 0.5>d, 0.5<d<1 and 0.5<d for capable electric vehicle applications. The proposed topology benefits include one common DC-AC inverter that interposes the generated power to supply the charge for the sharing of load in a system of hybrid supply with photovoltaic panels and fuel cell PEM. An improved control of Direct Torque and Flux Control (DTFC) based induction motor fed by current source converters for electric vehicle.In order to achieve better performance in terms of speed, power and miles per gallon for the expert, to accepting high regenerative braking current as well as persistent high dynamics driving performance is required. A simulation model for the hybrid power generation system based electric vehicle has been developed by using MATLAB/Simulink. The Direct Torque and Flux Control (DTFC) is planned using Xilinx ISE software tool in addition to a Modelsim 6.3 software tool that is used for simulation purposes. The FPGA based pulse generation is used to control the induction motor for electric vehicle applications. FPGA has been implemented, in order to verify the minimal error between the simulation results of MATLAB/Simulink and experimental results.

Microwave Electric Field and Magnetic Field Simulations of an ECR Plasma Source for Hyperthermal Neutral Beam Generation

  • A 2.45 GHz electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) plasma source with a belt magnet assembly configuration (BMC) was developed for hyperthermal neutral beam (HNB) generation. A plasma source for high flux HNB generation should be satisfied with the requirements: low pressure operation, high density, and thin plasma. The ECR plasma source with BMC achieved high density at low operation pressure due to electron confinement enhancement caused by high mirror ratio and drifts in toroidal direction. The 2.45 GHz microwave launcher had a circularly bended WR340 waveguide with slits. The microwave E-field profile induced by the microwave launcher was studied in this paper. The E-field profile was a cups field perpendicular to B-filed at ECR zone. The optimized E-field profile and B-field were found for effective ECR heating.

A Survey of Automatic Code Generation from Natural Language

  • Many researchers have carried out studies related to programming languages since the beginning of computer science. Besides programming with traditional programming languages (i.e., procedural, object-oriented, functional programming language, etc.), a new paradigm of programming is being carried out. It is programming with natural language. By programming with natural language, we expect that it will free our expressiveness in contrast to programming languages which have strong constraints in syntax. This paper surveys the approaches that generate source code automatically from a natural language description. We also categorize the approaches by their forms of input and output. Finally, we analyze the current trend of approaches and suggest the future direction of this research domain to improve automatic code generation with natural language. From the analysis, we state that researchers should work on customizing language models in the domain of source code and explore better representations of source code such as embedding techniques and pre-trained models which have been proved to work well on natural language processing tasks.

  • Recently, as exactly clean source, the research of photovoltaic power generation is undertaken actively and widely. In this paper, an auxiliary power supply system which is composed of photovoltaic generation and DC-DC boost chopper is described. This system in mainly for Air-conditioner appliances is which AC source is formed through rectifying circuit and without electrical storage battery. There exist two operating modes depending on the power quantity of the solar cells and the load. The control algorithm is discussed.

포항가속기연구소와 제4세대 방사광가속기 (Pohang Accelerator Laboratory and the 4th Generation Light Sourc)

  • 포항가속기연구소가 1994년에 완공한 제3세대 방사광가속기는 방사광을 만들어내어 실험에 이용하는 시설로써 전자를 2.5 GeV까지 가속시키는 선형가속기와 이 전자를 저장하여 회전시키면서 방사광을 발생시키는 원주 280 m의 저장링으로 되어 있다. 현재 저장링에 27개의 빔라인 시설이 설치되어 실험을 수행 중에 있다. 또한 포항가속기연구소는 차세대 방사광 발생장치인 제4세대 방사광가속기 건설 계획을 추진 중에 있다. 이 논문에서는 현재 가동 중인 방사광가속기의 현황과 4세대 가속기의 건설 추진 현황에 대해 설명하고자 한다.

LNG 냉열을 이용하는 암모니아-물 복합 재생 동력 사이클의 성능 특성 (Performance Characteristics of a Combined Regenerative Ammonia-Water Based Power Generation Cycle Using LNG Cold Energy)

  • The ammonia-water based power generation cycle utilizing liquefied natural gas (LNG) as its heat sink has attracted much attention, since the ammonia-water cycle has many thermodynamic advantages in conversion of low-grade heat source in the form of sensible energy and LNG has a great cold energy. In this paper, we carry out thermodynamic performance analysis of a combined power generation cycle which is consisted of an ammonia-water regenerative Rankine cycle and LNG power generation cycle. LNG is able to condense the ammonia-water mixture at a very low condensing temperature in a heat exchanger, which leads to an increased power output. Based on the thermodynamic models, the effects of the key parameters such as source temperature, ammonia concentration and turbine inlet pressure on the characteristics of system are throughly investigated. The results show that the thermodynamic performance of the ammonia-water power generation cycle can be improved by the LNG cold energy and there exist an optimum ammonia concentration to reach the maximum system net work production.

Optimizing the Joint Source/Network Coding for Video Streaming over Multi-hop Wireless Networks

  • Supporting video streaming over multi-hop wireless networks is particularly challenging due to the time-varying and error-prone characteristics of the wireless channel. In this paper, we propose a joint optimization scheme for video streaming over multi-hop wireless networks. Our coding scheme, called Joint Source/Network Coding (JSNC), combines source coding and network coding to maximize the video quality under the limited wireless resources and coding constraints. JSNC segments the streaming data into generations at the source node and exploits the intra-session coding on both the source and the intermediate nodes. The size of the generation and the level of redundancy influence the streaming performance significantly and need to be determined carefully. We formulate the problem as an optimization problem with the objective of minimizing the end-to-end distortion by jointly considering the generation size and the coding redundancy. The simulation results demonstrate that, with the appropriate generation size and coding redundancy, the JSNC scheme can achieve an optimal performance for video streaming over multi-hop wireless networks.
