확산음향장에서의 음원 지향성 간이추정: 수치시뮬레이션 (Simple Estimation of Sound Source Directivity in Diffused Acoustic Field: Numerical Simulation)

  • The directivity of an underwater sound source should be measured in an acoustically open field such as a calm sea or lake, or an anechoic water tank facility. However, technical difficulties arise when practically implementing this in open fields. Signal processing-based techniques such as a sound intensity method and near-field acoustic holography have been adopted to overcome the problem, but these are inefficient in terms of acquisition and maintenance costs. This study established a simple directivity estimation technique with data acquisition, filtering, and analysis tools. A numerical simulation based on an acoustic radiosity method showed that the technique is practicable for sound source directivity estimation in a diffused reverberant acoustic field like a reverberant water tank.

  • It is diffuse sound field that measuring condition of absorption ratio and sound transmission loss for material consist of building are measured in reverberartion room and on-site. In this study, for upkeeping diffuse sound field in reverberation room, it is measured and etimated that sound field is effected according to sound source lacation and characteristics of emission directivity for sound source.

  • An acoustic sensor using PVDF film is proposed in this paper. And its properties, such as sensitivity level, identification of sound source frequencies. and directivity, were experimented. Sensitivity level measured at the distance of 1[m] was limited in the range of ${\pm}$10dB. Adjacent three frequencies were also tested to identify the frequency of sound sources. In the range of audible frequencies, it could distinguish the frequencies of a complex sound. In addition, it was found that the sensor outputs were maximum in the coincided direction with a source, when directivity was experimented with three sound sources and FFT. The proposed PVDF film sensor has good characteristics of directivity and identifying ability as an acoustic sensor.

음향 인텐시티법을 이용한 주행열차의 음향방사특성의 검토 (Study on the Sound Radiaton Characteristics of Trains by Sound Intensity Method)

  • In order to obtain basic data for the prediction of railway noise propagation, the noise radiation characteristics (source position, radiation directivity, etc) of trains were measured by using the sound intensity method. The measurements were performed at a side of railway by setting an intensity-probe array. As the measurement results, it was found that rolling noise due to interaction between wheel and rail and motor noise radiation from the lower part of train are dominant. The location of main sound sources can be described as being at the height of 0.1m in the center line of track, and the radiation directivity in the cross section of actually running trains are presented as a dipole source.

쐐기소리에서 분류-쐐기의 상호작용과 소리의 방사 (Jet-Edge Interaction and Sound Radiation in Edgetones)

  • A theoretical model has been developed to analyze the jet-edge interaction and the sound radiation. The edge responding to the sinuous impinging jet is regarded as an array of dipoles and their strength is determined by the boundary condition on the edge surface. The surface pressure distribution and the edgeforce are estimated using these dipoles. Then the pressure amplitude and directivity of the sound field is obtained by summing the radiating sounds from the dipole sources. It is found that the effective source is located a little distance downstream from the edge tip. And the directivity of the sound radiation is cardioid pattern near the edge but dipole pattern far from the edge. The theoretical model is confirmed by comparing the theoretical prediction of the edgeforce and sound pressure level with available experimental data.

평판에 충돌하는 원형분류의 공력소음에 관한 실험적 연구 (Au Experimental Study on the Aerodynamic Noise by a Circular Jet Impinging on a Plate)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate experimentally the effect of surface conditions of the plate on the impinging jet noise. The experimental results about the spectrum, the sound pressure level and the directivity are pressented and discussed in relation with the surface conditions. Regardless of the surface conditions, the pure tones of high level are generated at the same frequency band and the overall sound power level of impinging jets is much higher than that of the free jet. However, the velocity dependence of the sound pressure level and the directivity are different between smooth surfaces and rough surfaces. The dependence of sound pressure level on the jet velocity shows that the smooth surface generates quadrupole-type sound like free jets. However, the perforated or the rough surface radiates sound power exactly proportional to the sixth power of the jet velocity, indicating that the source is fixed dipole type. The directivities of 1/3 octave band sound pressure level for both the free and impinging jet show the peak directivity at 115$^\circ$ upstream, probably due to the refraction associated with velocity gradient.

  • 우주발사체 비행에 의한 발사장 주변의 음향 소음에 대하여 분석하였다. 발사체 엔진 배기 제트에 소음원을 위치시키고 소음의 방향성, 대기 감쇄 등을 고려하여 발사장 주변의 특정 지점에 미치는 소음의 크기를 예측하였다. KSLV-I의 발사 소음을 예측하고 이 결과를 비행시험시의 측정 결과와 비교하였다. 분석 결과는 소음의 방향성에 의해 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으며 소음 방향성 정보에 대한 적절한 가정에 의해 시험 결과와 예측 결과가 서로 잘 일치하는 것을 확인하였다.

  • For external noise prediction of railway vehicles, sophisticated individual source modelling as well as appropriate noise propagation model from the sources is necessary to ensure the accuracy of the predicted results and contributions of each equipment to the overall noise levels. Accurate and reasonable identification procedures of sound sources of equipment including source strength, directivity and positions installed in the train play an important role in a prediction model, since it is not easy to establish a simple model for the sources with a single rule due to the complexity of source characteristics of equipment in size and directivity pattern. This paper guidelines practical considerations for identification of noise sources in railway vehicles including typical source characteristics of several sub-systems that emits noise to the environment, particularly for electric multiple unit(EMU), and verify effectiveness of assumptions used in the modelling of equipment by measurement with a simple part. The predicted external noise level of a complete train using Exnoise, which was developed by Hyundai-Rotem and has been verified in the a lot of field-tests, incorporating source modelling considered in this paper shows close correlation with the measured ones.

  • This paper concerns the prediction of railway noise propagation using scale model experiment in acoustics. In order to make acoustical experiment the digital signal processing technique are applied and spark discharge sound sources have been developed in which impulse response measured in 1/20 scale model railway. In the case of scale model experiment, it is difficult to realize sufficiently small size and directivity and to get sufficient sound energy and to get repeatability. Several type of Spark discharge sound source is made in laboratory. Experiment results are compared with the calculated results by the prediction model. As the results, it was found that railway noise could be predicted in acoustical scale model experiment using spark discharge sound source.

국악음원의 방사특성을 고려한 국악원의 음향 성능 예측 (Prediction of the Acoustic Performance of a Music Hall Considering the Radiation Characteristics of Korean Traditional Musical Sources)

  • 기존의 국악원 설계에 있어서 국악음원의 음향 방사 특성을 고려하지 않아, 공연장의 음향목표설정 및 음향조정에 어려움이 있었다. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 국악 음원인 가야금 (현악기), 장고 (타악기), 대금 (관악기), 판소리 창 (성악) 등 4종에 대한 음향 방사 특성을 상세히 측정하여, 그 결과의 적용성을 살펴보았다. 음원을 반무향실의 중앙에 위치시키고, 매 10° 간격으로 음압 레벨을 측정함으로써 지향성을 파악하였다. 측정 결과, 가야금의 경우에는 주파수가 증가함에 따라 무지향성으로부터 지엽이 많아지는 형태로 순차적으로 지향성이 변하였다. 대금의 주요 방사방향은 위쪽이었고, 장고는 저주파수에서 왼쪽 지향성이 오른쪽보다 더 크게 나타난다. 창의 경우에는 주파수가 증가함에 따라 뒤쪽으로는 소리가 거의 전파되지 않는 지향성을 나타낸다. 측정된 국악음원의 지향성을 이용하여 건설중인 부산국립 국악원의 음향 인자들을 예측하였다. 대표적인 두 수음점 들에서 잔향시간, 음압 레벨, C80, LF, STI와 같은 주요 건축 음향 인자들이 음선 추적 기법에 의해 계산되었으며, 무지향성 음원과 국악 음원을 사용하였을 때 음향 인자들 사이에 큰 차이를 보였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 데이터와 설계 방법론 등은 향후 국악원의 설계에 있어서 기본적인 자료로 활용될 수 있다고 사료된다.
