관 경사출구에 부착된 플랜지가 음향반사계수에 미치는 영향 (The effect of the flange attached to the inclined exit of tube on the sound reflection coefficient)

  • This research is to review the possibility of reducing the noise radiated from the tube exit by controling the sound reflection coefficient at the inclined exit. The sound reflection coefficient at the inclined exit of flanged tube was measured by both transfer function method and standing wave ratio method. Accuracy on the sound reflection coefficient measured by transfer function method was verified through comparison with sound reflection coefficient measured by standing ratio method. The flanged tube had lower sound reflection coefficient than the tube which have no flange. Also the sound reflection coefficient was decreased in accordance with increasing the inclined angle of unflanged tube.

Acoustic Properties of Rubber Compound for Anechoic Coating

  • Three kinds of rubber compounds were prepared, and their underwater acoustical properties were investigated for anechoic coating. Dynamic mechanical properties of the rubber compounds were measured using a dynamic mechanical analyzer and extended to 100 kHz using time-temperature superposition. The sound speed, reflection coefficient, and attenuation constant were calculated. Silicone rubber showed the lowest reflection coefficient, and nitrile rubber showed the highest attenuation constant. The acoustic properties of nitrile rubber compounds with various compositions were investigated. The sound speed, reflection coefficient, and transmission coefficient of the nitrile rubber in the frequency range of 200-1000 kHz were measured in a water-filled tank.

  • The reflection coefficient of a material at oblique incidence is measured in a free field. The sound pressure distributions are measured at discrete points on two measurement lines and then decomposed into plane wave components by using spatial Fourier transform. The inciedent and reflected plane wave components are obtained from a set of "decomposition equations" of which uses the plane wave propagation theory. Numerical simulations and experiments have been performed to see the effect of finite size of measurement area. To reduce this effect, a window fuction has been performed to see the effects of finite size of mesurement area. To reduce this effect, a window function has been proposed and its effect on the measurement of sound absorbing material property has been studied as well. The reflection coefficient obtained by this method is compared with those obtained from other methods; 2-microphone method in a duct and an expirical equation of which determines the characteristic impedance .rho.c and propagation constant k of a material from flow resistance information.formation.

시뮬레이션에 의한 성덕대왕 신종 음관의 특성 (A Simulation for the Characteristics of the Sound-Pipe of King Song-Dok Bell)

  • To investigate the characteristics of the sound-pipe on the top of King Song-Dok bell, using computer simulation, the throat impedance was evaluated for the straight pipe and conical pipes with varying taper angles. When sound propagates in a rigid walled, unflanged circular pipe with wavelength larger than radius, the acoustic motion is planar, much as in a bar. The incident sound waves are reflected at the end of pipe and some of them are transmitted. The reflection coefficient and radiation impedance of the sound-pipe of King Song-Dok bell were calculated, and the results demonstrated that the high frequency sound is radiated through the sound-pipe. It behaves like a frequency filter.

수조에서 입자 매질의 평면파 반사계수 측정과 Biot 이론에 의한 예측 (Measurement of the Plane Wave Reflection Coefficient for the Saturated Granular Medium in the Water Tank and Comparison to Predictions by the Biot Theory)

  • 평면파 반사 계수는 수중에서의 음파에너지에 관한 해저 바닥의 모든 정보를 담고 있고 음향 해석 모델의 입력 값으로도 사용할 수 있는 음향학적 물리량이다. 본 연구에서는 실험실 수조 환경에서 입자 매질 ( 세 종류의 유리구슬, 모래 )의 평면파 반사 계수, 음속 및 감쇠계수를 측정했다. 반사 실험은 수조의 한계를 고려해 $28{\sim}53^{\circ}$의 입사각과 중심 주파수 100kHz의 협대역 신호를 이용해 수행했다. 자기 교정법 (Self-calibration method)을 이용해 측정된 자료로부터 반사 계수를 계산했고 측정된 반사 계수의 경향 및 실험의 불확실성을 서술했다. 입자 매질의 음속 및 감쇠계수는 거리 수신 신호간의 회귀분석을 통해 계산했다. Biot 이론을 이용해 측정된 음속과 감쇠계수로부터 다공율과 침투율을 추정하고 실제 지질학적 측정값과의 유사성을 확인했다. 최종적으로 추정된 다공율, 침투율을 이용해 이론적 인 반사 계수를 계산하고 반사 실험의 측정값과 비교했다. 본 실험 결과는 Biot 이론으로 일관성 있게 입자 매질의 음향학적 물성을 설명할 수 있음을 입증한다.

  • A method using beamforming algorithm has been developed to measure oblique incidence reflection coefficients of sound absorption materials. MUSIC(Multiple Signal Classification) method detects the angles of incidence and reflection. By separating the incident and reflected waves using beamforming method, the reflection coefficient is calculated. Spatial smoothing technique is also used to reduce the coherence between the incident and reflected waves. The test materials were modeled as a locally reacting surface. Numerical and experiment results are performed to verify the acuracy of proposed method.

Modeling of Ultrasonic Testing in Butt Joint by Ray Tracing

  • Ultrasonic wave generation and propagation were modeled to simulate an ultrasonic test. A ray model was used for the modeling. Actual sound pressure distribution of the incident wave from an angle probe was analyzed using an ultrasonic visualization method to incorporate the actual sound pressure distribution in the model. In this method, the sound pressure was expressed by the density of rays and the reflection coefficient of ultrasonic beams. Reflection and mode conversion of rays were computed by the Snells law. Simulation programs for the problem of ultrasonic testing of a butt joint are built using this ray modeling. Simulation results for ultrasonic wave scattering from a defect and A-scan display in ultrasonic testing agreed with the actual experiment results.

正常波管을 利用한 複素反射係數의 測定 (Measurement of Complex Sound Pressure Reflection Coefficient Using Standing Wave Tube)

  • 建策材料의 複素反射係數로 測定하기 爲해 새로운 方法을 指示하였다. 旣存의 方法인 正常波管內에서 正常波比를 測定하여 反射係數를 計算할 境遇, 管內에서 音壓의 最大값과 最小값을 精密하게 測定하기 爲해서는 많은 努力을 기울여야 하면 特히 많은 試料를 取扱할 때 境過 매우 번거로운 作業이 된다. 本 論文에서는 이러한 短點을 補完하기 爲해 任意의 세 位置에서 音壓과 位相 및 各 測定점까지의 距離를 測定한 後 最小自乘法에 의해 複素反射係數를 測定하는 方法을 考案하였다. 이 方法으로 두께 5cm, 密度 $50kg/m^3$인 유리纖維와 두께 1.5cm 인 鋼부反에 대한 複素反射係數를 測定한 結果와 旣存의 方法으로 測定한 結果가 잘 一致하는 것을 實驗으로 確認하였다. 또한 이 方法은 길이가 짧은 正常波管으로도 低周波의 反射係數를 測定할 수 있는 長點이 있을 뿐만 아니라 컴퓨터와 interface가 가능하기 때문에 특히 試料를 取扱하는 境遇 效果的으로 使用될 수 있을 것을 期待된다.

실험적 분석을 통하여 본 성덕 대왕(聖德 大王) 신종(神鐘) 음통(音筒)의 음향학적 특성 (Experimental Analysis on Acoustic Characteristics of the Sound-Pipe of King Song-Dok Bell)

  • 성덕 대왕 신종 상단부에 위치한 음통의 음향학적 역할을 규명하기 위하여 현장 실험을 수행하고 관찰된 현상을 설명하기 위한 모델을 제안하였다. 실험을 통하여 음통의 음향학적 특성을 대표하는 음통 출구단의 반사 계수, 방사 임피던스를 측정한 결과, 음통이 저주파(이경우 300Hz 이하)에서는 거의 모든 소리를 종 내부로 되돌리는 특성을 보이며, 그 이상의 고주파 성분은 효과적으로 종 밖으로 방사하는 특성을 갖고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 음통에 대한 음향학적 모델링 및 이를 바탕으로 한 수치적 분석을 수행하였으며 실험결과와 대체적으로 경향이 일치하는 결과를 보여주고 있다.
