  • In this paper, research results on the change of music emotion are described. Our gaol was to provide a method of changing music emotion by a human user. Then we tried to find a way of transforming the contents of the original music into the music whose emotion is similar with the changed emotion. For the purpose, a method of changing the emotion of playing music on two-dimensional plan was describe. Then the original music should be transformed into the music which emotion would be equal to the changed emotion. As the first step a method of deciding which music factors and how much should be changed was presented. Finally the experimental method of editing by sound editor for changing the emotion was described. There are so many research results on the recognition of music emotion. But the try of changing the music emotion is very rare. So this paper would open another way of doing research on music emotion field.

  • This study aims to examine the realistic self-esteem of adolescents and perception of adolescents toward avatar in an attempt to understand basic aspects of their distinctive lifestyle fundamentally relative to the cyber culture on the web, given that the adolescent which is significant in forming self-esteem period plays an important role in the psychological aspect of adolescents. As for method of research, this study analyzed the self-esteem of users, their preference for avatar, and the perception toward avatar, in order to understand their psychological and social maturity. The result of study indicated that the increased self-esteem in reality among the adolescents led to the increased preference for avatar relative to the cyber culture on the web, which in turn increased the recognition of others' avatars. Those findings suggest that adolescents tend to assign self-esteem to avatar as great as themselves. Thus, it may be important to help adolescents form their self identity from the perspective psychological maturity, so that a sound and healthy web culture can be formed depending on the formation and level of self-esteem among adolescents.

  • In this paper, the technique for production and encoding of new dot-type print watermark is proposed. The print watermark has characteristics similar to those of the digital watermark and function as link which change various first informations(texts, symbols, figures, etc) on the printed matter to secondary contents (sound, video, character, etc) corresponding each to informations on the printed matter. The proposed dot-type print watermark pattern is represented as $16{\times}16$ matrix in $0.4mm^2$ area and dots are printed on only 23 elements of $16{\times}16$ matrix. The size of each dot is so small(0.02mm)that it can not be seen. Because position of printed dots correspond to the position of each digit in binary notation in this paper, they are encoded easily and there are about 8,000,000 watermark patterns enough to express first information of printed matters. It was showed that the proposed print watermark patterns are recognized without difficulty by the own recognition device.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a fundamental research data that is necessary in an education of dietary life so that the students have sound dietary life through a right food purchase after investigating perception of children's dietary habit and activity, food labelling, and nutrition labelling for 400 students of the 5 and 6th grades. The result of the study are as followings. In terms of perception questions over food labelling, on the whole, "know it little bit" was the highest. Girls and country was higher than boys and city. A list of item that is important in contents of food labelling were period of circulation, data of manufacturing, price, used ingredient, origin of product, nutrition contain labelling, manufacturer, quantity in contents(quantity, the number). A meaningful difference was shown in gender(p<.05) and area(p<.01). In 30 perception questions over nutrition labelling, "know it little bit" was the most, and girls and country were higher than boys and city. In ascertaining nutrition labelling at the time of purchasing the food, "look often" was the most. Girls and city were higher than boys and Gun in average but no difference was statistically shown in knowledge mark in utilization and perception of nutrition labelling. The response rate in girls(p<.01) and country(p<.05) was higher in a question of "if nutrition labelling is displayed, nutriment that is harmful for our body will be eaten less" and girls' response rate was higher in the question of "being educated for my health". Therefore, practice centered nutrition education is necessary to purchase the food after ascertaining food nutrition labelling out of an attitude in habitually purchasing the processed food. The students develop comprehensible food nutrition labelling the direction to emphasizing nutrition educational labelling and recognizing that the healthy nutriment is contained without conventional and food safety centered labelling should be changed.

  • Maintaining our tradition makes us have pride for our nation and plays important role for recognition and establishment of identity for our unique culture in the world. Contrast to the western scientific technique, the scientific technique of Silla Bell absorbed in the life of our nation is the fruit of wisdom science found through rich life and experience by harmony between our nation and nature. Today, ideological backgrounds for many cultural heritages weren't be found and there are many overflowing hypothesis. Silla Bell is the plastic art including cumulative utopia of the racial spirit. So there would be the information of the racial spirit including symbolization, artistry, creativity, and historicity. However, unlikely with the words, it is the profoundly concentrated shape, so the meaning can be diluted or distorted in later generation. The efforts to figure out the symbolization in Korean bells, especially Silla bell according to its exclusive shape, but no hypothesis was accepted as an established theory of academia by gaining extensive agreements. Thus this paper traces the symbolic meaning accumulated in the shape and prepares for the theoretical background accessing to the artistic spirit of forebears who created super-humanity formativeness. Also regarding the Silla bell which is regarded as the best Buddhist metal craft that people believe they can be free from the anguish at the time of listening to its sound, we studied the symbolization of the bell as the religious ritual custom as well as the possibility to utilize the bell as a motif of living art in the aspect of formative expression.

  • This study applied SONAR(Sound Navigation And Ranging) to the inspection and evaluation of underwater structures. Anactual river bridge was chosen for inspection and evaluation. SONAR and an optical camera were operated together to analyze the underwater image of the bridge. SONAR images were obtained by various methods to remove the environmental variables from the field experiment, and it was confirmed that the reliability of detecting damaged areas on piers was decreased when using SONAR alone. The SONAR equipment and the optical camera can be used simultaneously to overcome the limitations of SONAR in inspecting underwater structures. These results can be used as basic data for the development of similar technologies for underwater structure inspection.

Because of mechanization, industrialization and urbanization of our society, many social problems, such as confusion of the sense of value, dehumanization, money worshi n.0, ppings, juvenile delinquency are increasing. For the solution of problems of juvenile crime and dehumanization, bibliotherapy should be practiced in juvenile reformatories, schools and societies. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness and value of reading. And also the characteristics, brief history, principles and procedures of bibliotherapy are examined. In addition, the book catalog suitable for bibliotherapy is considered. The results of the study are as follows. (1) In order to solve the problem of dehumanization, and the confusion of the sense of value among young adults, we should enrich and cultivate the characters of young adults through the bibliotherapy. So, bibliotherapy for the treatment of human nature of juveniles should be practiced in the juvenile reformatories, schools and societies. (2) The values of reading in the past were inspiration, information and recreation. But, in recent times, the interest in therapeutic value of reading is increasing. (3) Bibliotherapy is a kind of psychotherapy using selected reading materials. A n.0, pplication scopes of bibliotherapy are very wides, including mental medicine, alcoholic poisoning, drug addiction, juvenile delinquency, counselling and education for school life, etc. (4) The principles of bibliotherapy consist of identification, catharsis, insight and it has self therapeutic principles through the reading. The procedures of bibliotherapy is similar to any other kind of psychotherapy: the participant's statement, diagnosis, treatment, continuous recognition of remedial value. (5) The well suited reading materials for bibliotherapy are literature and biography. Literature and biography are familiar to everyone, because they describe the mentalities, emotions and life styles of human beings. (6) The standard reading lists for bibliotherapy for the proper guidance of juvenile delinquency should be prepared for the solution of developmental tasks, such as, drinking, smoking, friendship, family, love, money, marriage, pregnancy, violence, etc. Finally, Bibliotherapy should be introduced to our school settings and corrections institutions for the proper guidance and prevention of the malpractice of the youths. In addition, we should be endeavor to develop the standard reading lists for bibliotherapy and case study.

  • In this paper a commute time embedding is implemented by organizing patches according to the graph-based metric, and its properties are investigated via changing the number of nodes on the graph.. It is shown that manifold embedding methods generate the intrinsic geometric structures when waveforms such as speech or music instrumental sound signals are embedded on the low dimensional Euclidean space. Basically manifold embedding algorithms only project the training samples on the graph into an embedding subspace but can not generalize the learning results to test samples. They are very effective for data clustering but are not appropriate for classification or recognition. In this paper a commute time guided transform is adopted to enhance the generalization ability and its performance is analyzed by applying it to the classification of 6 kinds of music instrumental sounds.

  • A robot's recognition and diagnosis of pronunciation and its speech are the most important interactions in RALL(Robot Assisted Language Learning). This study is to verify the effectiveness of robot TTS(Text to Sound) technology in assisting Korean English language learners to acquire a native-like accent by correcting the prosodic errors they commonly make. The child English language learners' F0 range and speaking rate in the 4th grade, a prosodic variable, will be measured and analyzed for any changes in accent. We compare whether robot with the currently available TTS technology appeared to be effective for the 4th graders and 1st graders who were not under the formal English learning with native speaker from the acoustic phonetic viewpoint. Two groups by repeating TTS of RALL responded to the speaking rate rather than F0 range.

  • This study is intended to look into the effect of dining space color and design on customers' psychological response, satisfaction, and reuse intention of restaurants. To achieve this, an empirical survey was carried out based on responses from 400 dining-out customers. The results were as follows. The dining space color and design had a significant and positive effect on customers' psychological reaction, satisfaction and reuse intention of restaurants. This is a result of positively evaluated service through an increased customer emotional response to simultaneous factors. It also suggest a recognition of a customer's psychological response in forming images based on restaurant attributes aside from food quality, such technique, ornamental equipment, sound, and design factors harmonized with indoor environment, in an attempt to increase customer interest in an increasingly competitive business environment. Consequently, dining space color and design can lead to customers' psychological satisfaction and reuse intention.
