차량 실내 소음의 음질 분석 및 모델화 (Model Development and Analysis of the Car Interior Sound Quality)

  • the reduction of the interior nosie level has been the main interest of NVH engineers in the development of vehicles. However, the consumer's perception on the car noise is affected largely by the psychoacoustic characteristics of the noise, as well as the sound pressure level. In this study, the quality of the vehicle interior nosie is analyzed by employing the subjective evaluations and by representing them in temrs of the objective quantities. The subjective evaluatins were performed for the seven vehicles in the range of subcompact to luxury cars. The methods of paired comparisons and semantic differential were used to study the preference, the quality of interior noise and their correlation. The linear regression models were obtained for the subjective evaluation and the sound quality metrics.

도로교통소음의 주파수에 따른 불쾌도 민감도 연구 (Study of the Annoyance Sensitivity for the Frequency Band of Road Traffic Noise)

  • In this study, the sensitivity of annoyance was investigated by the subjective jury test for the variations of the frequency components along with various sound pressure levels of sixteen environmental noise sources. Annoyance was, also, evaluated for the road traffic noises. Sound pressure levels were $54{\sim}84\;dB$ which individually divided frequency components with eight bands of equally three bark bands. The results show that vehicle traffic noise is recognized as the most serious environment noise source. The sensitivity of human perception of annoyance in frequency bands is quite different from A-weighting curve. The annoyance found out to be more sensitive in high frequency region and reached its maximum in 3.4 kHz.

  • This study is about the effect of the sound pressure level of reverberation on stage acoustics. There are several electro-acoustics systems to enhance the room acoustics of concert hails but not many studies on the stage acoustics for the musicians who plays on the stages. To investigate the effect of reverberation on stage acoustics, the reverberation time of a test room has been controlled through a 4 channel speaker system, and the preferred reverberation level has been selected by performing musicians. As a result, the sound pressure level of reverberation seems to affect the perception of stage acoustics which motivates musicians' performances.

  • This study is directed toward determining the number and characteristics of psychologically meaningful perceptual dimensions required for assessing the sound Ouaiity with respect to vehicle interior and/or exterior noises. and toward identifying the acoustical or psychoacoustical bases underlying the perception. By nonmetric MDS and clustring analysis of sound quality data sets on our own, of critical importance are two perceptual dimensions for which subjective verdicts can be interpreted as loudness and sharpness. The perceptual dimensions based upon similarity judgments could be accounted for 48% and 24% of the variance. each of which might be a match for the acoustic parameter "A-weighted maximum pressure level"(r= .85) and for the psychoacoustic parameter "sharpness" (r= .65), respectively. On the other hand, the perceptual dimensions based upon preference ratings could explain 66% and 10% of the variance. where the acoustic parameter "A-weighted maximum pressure leve"(r= .92) might be taken to be a best predictor, but sharpness appeared to be less suitable for the description of Preference behavior. Linked to the results, the problems of quantitative modelling of subjective sound quality evaluation and also of implementing corresponding cognitive combination rule for technical and industrial applications, say having "winner-sound qualify" according to preference criteria will be shortly in discussion.

유아음악활동에 대한 유아교사의 인식 (Early Childhood Teachers' Perception about Early Childhood Music Activity)

  • This study is investigating the perceptions of early childhood teachers on early childhood music activity. The subjects are early childhood teachers(N=217) working at kindergartens and day care centers in Jeonbuk Province. The data were collected from a questionnaire and analyzed with the tests of frequency, Cronbach's $\alpha$, t-test, ANOVA and Duncan. The results are as follow: first, the early childhood teachers are being aware of importance of infant music activity in the order of "aesthetic exploration", "artistic expression", and "art appreciation". Second, according to teachers' working place, the teachers have no differences of perception in early childhood music activities, while, according to children's age in the class which the teachers are taking charge of, they show differences of perception in the activities of "exploring movements " and "respect for artistic expression". Third, according to the early childhood teacher's career, they have difference of perception in "singing" activity only, while according to their education level, they have no differences of perception in all music activities. According to teachers' age, they have differences of perception in the activities of "aesthetic exploration", "exploring sound", and "singing".

인간의 청각 척도에 관한 고찰 (A Study on the Human Auditory Scaling)

  • Human beings can perceive various aspects of sound including loudness, pitch, length, and timber. Recently many studies were conducted to clarify complex auditory scales of the human ear. This study critically reviews some of these scales (decibel, sone, phon for loudness perception; mel and bark for pitch) and proposes to apply the scales to normalize acoustic correlates of human speech. One of the most important aspects of human auditory perception is the nonlinearity which should be incorporated into the linear speech analysis and synthesis system. Further studies using more sophisticated equipment are desirable to refine these scales, through the analysis of human auditory perception of complex tones or speech. This will lead scientists to develop better speech recognition and synthesis devices.

공감각인지기반 컬러이미지-음악요소 변환에 관한 기초연구 (A Basic Study on the Conversion of Color Image into Musical Elements based on a Synesthetic Perception)

  • 본 연구는 컬러영상에서 특정소리를 연상시킬 수 있는 공감각 인지현상에 기반하여 컬러이미지에서 음악요소로 변환하는 시스템의 구현을 최종 목표로 한다. 이는 빛과 소리의 물리적 주파수정보사이의 유사도를 기반으로 이루어진다. 입력 컬러영상은 우선 컬러모델변환이론에 기초하여 색상(Hue), 채도(Saturation) 및 명도(Intensity)영역으로 변환된다. 음계, 옥타브, 크기 및 시간길이 등의 음악적 성분들이 HSI 컬러모델의 각 영역으로부터 추출된다. 기본주파수(F0, Fundamental Frequency)는 색상 및 명도 히스토그램에서 추출되고, 크기 및 시간길이성분은 명도와 채도 히스토그램에서 추출된다. 실험에서, 제안된 시스템은 표준 C 및 VC++ 기반에서 실현되었고, 최종적으로 WAV 포맷의 사운드파일이 생성되었다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해서 입력 컬러영상에서 추출된 음악적 요소들이 출력 사운드신호에 반영됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • 최근 선박의 안전과 작업환경 개선을 위해 선박 자동화 시스템을 도입하고 있다. IMO에서 표준기술 및 안전관리측면의 규제를 강화하여 해상안전과 해상 화재 방지를 위하여 노력을 하고 있으나 해양사고와 선박화재는 계속 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 선박의 화재에서 Robot을 이용하여 Risk에 대응하고 관리하는 연구를 하였다. Robot의 Risk대응을 위한 화재 감지 센서를 부착하고, Robot에서 장착되어 수행되는 적외선 센서, TOUCH SWITCH, 소리감지 센서, 가스 감지 센서, 빛감지 센서를 이용하여 Robot을 컨트롤 하였으며, Robot에게 Risk 대응을 지시 할 때의 소리출력 사용과 DC MOTOR의 속도와 COM SEN에 Low~High 값을 설정하여 Robot의 Risk 대응관리 동작을 설정하였다.

The driver's perception on the vehicle noise is affected largely by psychoacoustic characteristic of the noise as well as the SPL. In particular, the HVAC sound among the vehicle interior noise has been reflected sensitively in the side of psychology. In previous study, we have developed to verify identification of source for the vehicle HVAC system through multiple-dimensional spectral analysis. Also we carried out objective assessments on the vehicle HVAC noises and subjective assessments have been already performed with 30 subjects. In this study, the linear regression models were obtained for the subjective evaluation and the sound quality metrics. The regression procedure also allows you to produce diagnostic statistics to evaluate the regression estimates including appropriation and accuracy. Appropriation of regression model is necessary to $R^2$ value and F-value. And testing for regression model is necessary to Independence, Homoscedesticity and Normality. Also we selected optimum layout of damping material using Taguchi method. As a result of application, sound quality is improved by more quiet, powerful, expensive, smooth.
