공동주택 벽체 반사율에 따른 PV창호시스템 발전효율 분석 (Analysis of Generating Efficiency in PV Window System consequent on Apartment House Wall Reflectivity)

  • This study did quantitative comparative evaluation of changes in generation consequent on reflectivity of the protruding wall near the widow in case of application of PV window system to an apartment house. To be concrete, this study did comparative analysis of the generation of (B) through the process of composing Mock-up (A)comprising the protruding window near the window and Mock-up(B) free of nearby wall interference, and giving change to the reflectivity of the wall (Case_1~3). The analysis result showed that the difference in generation was slight in case solar radiation was less than 10,000Wh in all three conditions. On the contrary, in case solar radiation was more than 10,000 Wh, the generation as against Module(B), was analyzed to be 87~91% in Case_1(5% reflectivity), 18~60% in Case_2(85% reflectivity), and 16~71% in case_3(93% reflectivity), respectively.

  • This paper presents the new maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control of the photovoltaic(PV) module integrated converter(MIC) system considering the shadow influence. The output characteristics of the solar cell is a nonlinear and affected by a temperature, the solar radiation and influence of a shadow. Particularly, MIC system is very sensitive to the shadow influence because the capacity is very small. In order to increase an output and efficiency of the solar power generation, the maximum power point(MPP) obeying control are necessary. Conventional perturbation and observation(PO) and Incremental conductance(IC) are the method finding MPP by the continued self-excitation vibration. The MPPT control is unable to be performed by rapid output change affected by the shadow. To solve this problem, the new control algorithm of the multi-level in which the step value changes by output change is presented. In case there are the solar radiation, a temperature and shadow influence, the presented algorithm treats and compares the conventional control algorithm and output error. In addition, the validity of the algorithm is proved. through the output error response characteristics.

공동주택 발코니 PV 연계 가정용 BESS의 에너지 절감 효과 분석 (Analysis of Energy Saving Effect of the Residential BESS Connected to the Balcony-PV in Apartment Houses)

  • The government mandates gradually zero energy building and Photovoltaic power generation systems installed in buildings are emerging as the most realistic alternative to increase the independence rate of building energy. In this study, we propose a method to reduce the power consumption of households by increasing the PV capacity of balconies and applying the method used the charged electric power stored in batteries after sunset. In order to evaluate the electric power energy savings of the residential BESS, a balcony PV 1.2 kW and a battery pack 2 kWh were installed for 9 houses in 4 apartments in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The BESS is charged when the balcony PV is generated electric power, and when solar power generation is finished, it supplies power to the electric appliances connected to the load. As a result of installing the solar PV module 1.2 kW and 2 kWh class BESS for 3 households located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, the average electric power consumption saving rate was 40%. The reduction in electricity consumption in the case of zero generation surplus power by maximizing the utilization rate of BESS has been improved to about 53%. Therefore, in order to increase the self-sufficiency rate of electric energy in apartment houses, it is effective to increase the solar photovoltaic capacity of the balcony and apply the residential BESS. In the future, it is believed that the balcony PV and home BESS will play a key role in achieving mandatory zero-energy housing.

  • 전기자동차의 상용화시대에 대비한 전기자동차 충전네트워크가 시급해지고 있다. 해외에서는 주차장에 PV시스템을 설치하여 얻어진 전력으로 전기자동차 충전을 할 수 있는 전기자동차 충전소가 설치되어지고 있다. 또한 우리나라에서도 충전인프라 구축방안 및 전기자동차 충전시설 지원기준 등을 설정하여 제시하고 있지만 해외처럼 PV시스템을 이용한 전기자동차 충전소의 사례가 국내에는 없으며, 일반전력을 이용한 전기자동차 충전소만 제시하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 국내의 전기자동차 충전네트워크 구축에 대비하여 국내 외 태양광 주차장과 해외 PV시스템 전기자동차 충전소의 사례를 조사하여 구조시스템, 구조 재료 등을 분석하여 비교 분석한 결과, 해외 PV시스템 전기자동차 충전소의 경우 캔틸레버 구조와 소규모 타입이 많이 설치되었다.

  • BIPV(Building Integrated PV) system can expect dual effects that reduce expenses for establishment of PV system by adding new function as outer covering material of building expect producing the electricity. In case of PV(photovoltaic system) there are many generation differences according to the exterior environmental facts(solar cell array, design and installation condition of interactive inverter system). In this paper, we compared constitute factors of 3kW BIPV(solar cell module, inverter), operating characteristic and total system characteristic(utilization, generation efficiency, loss fact) and found out long time operating data using a watch instrumentations. By use of long time operating result, compare a totally operating characteristics, and we proposed a next building application of BIPV. BIPV system that is proposed in this paper, was established in Solar Energy research center of Chosun University, composed with system. The objective of this paper, is to provide a efficient BIPV design method through the considerations for the integration of PV system.

스팬드럴용 투광형 결정계 PV창호의 셀 간격 개구율에 따른 온도 및 발전성능 해석연구 (Temperature and Power Generation Characteristics of c-Si G/G Spandrel Window depending on Opening Ratio of PV Module)

  • This study aims to analyze characteristics of Cell surface temperature and generated power performance for improving PV(Photovoltaic) system condition according to the cell opening ratio of transparent crystal PV system at Spandrel of curtain-wall. For this purpose, alternatives were classified for eight different cases that opening ratio of transparent crystal PV system varied from 0% to 70%, which was used by simulation tool, EnergyPlus. As results, it turned out that increasing opening ratio of transparent crystal PV system led higher PV surface temperature, back-sheet type was thus the most advantageous for decreasing surface temperature, annual generating efficiency, and annual accumulated generating power. Consequently, blocking off air space from outside insolation can advantageously keep to be better condition for generated power performance.

  • To expect accurately the maximum power of solar cell module under various installation conditions, it is required to know the performance characteristics like temperature dependence. Today, the PV (photovoltaic) market in Korea has been growing. Also BIPV (building integrated photovoltaic) systems are diversified and become popular. But thermal dependence of PV module is little known to customers and system installers. In IEC 61215,a regulation for testing the crystalline silicon solar cell module, the testing method is specified for modules. However there is limitation for testing the module with diverse application examples. In extreme installation method, there is no air flow between rear side of module and ambient, and it can induce temperature increase. In this paper, we studied the roof type installation of PV module on the surface of one-axis tracker system. We measured temperature on every component of PV module and compared to open-rack structure. As a result, we provide the foundation that explains temperature characteristics and NOCT (nominal operation cell temperature) difference.   • The temperature of PV modules that integrated into building facades or roof increases that could reduce the electrical efficiency of the PV system. In order to incresae PV system's efficiency it is very important to remove the heat from the PV modules. For this purpose, hot air can be extracted from the space between PV modules and building envelope, and used for heating in buildings. The solar collector utilizing this thermal effect is called photovoltaic-thermal(PVT) solar collector. This paper compares the experimental performance of building-integrated PVT collectors that applied on building roof and facade. There are two different case: a roof-integrated PVT type and a facade-integrated PVT type. The experimental results show that the collected thermal energy of the roof-integrated type was 24% higher, compared to that of the facade-integrated.
