This paper illustrates some practical geographic information system (GIS) applications for aiding fishery managers and coastal area planners in analysing the likely control scheme of coastal farming areas, and in providing a flexible framework for decision making on fishery development and zoning issues. The effective management of marine farming operation is vitally important since it can greatly influence economic availability by determining capital outlay and by affecting running costs, rates of productions and mortality factors. GIS has been widely adopted elsewhere as a potent management tool in both the private and public sectors. GIS is now being extensively adopted in marine-associated activities. Here, we have used GeoMania v2.5 GIS software and its 3D Analyst extension module to visualize marine farming areas data that were collected around the Jinhae bay.

Many real world cases in material failure analysis do not follow perfectly the normal distribution. Forcing of the normality assumption may lead to inaccurate predictions and poor product quality. We examine the failure process of the internal bond (IB or tensile strength) of medium density fiberboard (MDF). We propose a forced censoring technique that closer fits the lower tails of strength distributions and better estimates extremely smaller percentiles, which may be valuable to continuous quality improvement initiatives. Further analyses are performed to build an accelerated common-shaped Weibull model for different product types using the $JMP^{(R)}$ Survival and Reliability platform. In this paper, a forced censoring technique is implemented for the first time as a software module, using $JMP^{(R)}$ Scripting Language (JSL) to expedite data processing, which is crucial for real-time manufacturing settings. Also, we use JSL to automate the task of fitting an accelerated Weibull model and testing model homogeneity in the shape parameter. Finally, a package script is written to readily provide field engineers customized reporting for model visualization, parameter estimation, and percentile forecasting. Our approach may be more accurate for product conformance evaluation, plus help reduce the cost of destructive testing and data management due to reduced frequency of testing. It may also be valuable for preventing field failure and improved product safety even when destructive testing is not reduced by yielding higher precision intervals at the same confidence level.

Most of the current traffic signal controller use load switches to transmit high voltage power to the signal lamps. The direct transmission of high voltage power may cause a lot of problems like leakages of electric power, obstructions of pedestrian, environmental disfigurements. To overcome these problems, the development of digital type signal controller has been trying in the various methods. Digital communication between a master controller and signal lamps is the most important part to improve control performance in the digital type controller. A communication system for the digital signal controller was developed in this study. The system bases on CAN specification, includes ID structure for most peripheral devices like loops, signal lamps, push buttons, police switches. The operability of this system verified with a software based CAN simulation tool.
Storage racks are used worldwide in industries and commercial outlets due to the advantage of lighter, faster erection and easy alteration of pallet level as required. The studies to understand the behaviour of cold formed steel pallet racks, under seismic action is one of the emerging area of research. The rack consists of perforated uprights and beams with hook-in end connector, which enables the floor height adjustments. The dynamic characteristics of these racks are not well established. This paper presents the dynamic characteristics of 3-D single bay two storey pallet rack system with hook-in end connectors, which is tested on shake table. The sweep sine test and El Centro earthquake acceleration is used to evaluate the seismic performance of the cold formed steel pallet racks. Also an attempt is made to evaluate the realistic dynamic characteristics by using STAAD Pro software. Modal analysis is performed by incorporating the effective moment of inertia of the upright, which considers the effect of presence of perforations and rotational stiffness of the beam-to-upright connection to determine the realistic fundamental frequency of pallet racks, which is required for carrying out the seismic design. Finite element model of the perforated upright section has been developed as a cantilever beam through which effective moment of inertia is evaluated. The stiffness of the hook-in connector is taken from the previous study by Prabha et al. (2010). The results from modal analysis are in good agreement with the respective experimental results.
In traditional eccentrically braced steel frames, damages and plastic deformations are limited to the links and the main structure members are required tremendous sizes to ensure elasticity with no damage based on the force-based seismic design method, this limits the practical application of the structure. The high strength steel frames with eccentric braces refer to Q345 (the nominal yield strength is 345 MPa) steel used for links, and Q460 steel utilized for columns and beams in the eccentrically brace steel frames, the application of high strength steels not only brings out better economy and higher strength, but also wider application prospects in seismic fortification zone. Here, the structures with four type eccentric braces are chosen, including K-type, Y-type, D-type and V-type. These four types EBFs have various performances, such as stiffness, bearing capacity, ductility and failure mode. To evaluate the seismic behavior of the high strength steel frames with variable eccentric braces within the similar performance objectives, four types EBFs with 4-storey, 8-storey, 12-storey and 16-storey were designed by performance-based seismic design method. The nonlinear static behavior by pushover analysis and dynamic performance by time history analysis in the SAP2000 software was applied. A total of 11 ground motion records are adopted in the time history analysis. Ground motions representing three seismic hazards: first, elastic behavior in low earthquake hazard level for immediate occupancy, second, inelastic behavior of links in moderate earthquake hazard level for rapid repair, and third, inelastic behavior of the whole structure in very high earthquake hazard level for collapse prevention. The analyses results indicated that all structures have similar failure mode and seismic performance.

Methods: The study design was an equivalent control group pre-post test. The treatment group received ths physical activity program five times per week for 20 weeks. Data were collected from the treatment group at two time points: Week 1 and Week 20 following the initiation of the treatment protocol. Data were collected from the control group at the ends of week 1 and Week 20. Data analysis was performed using the IBM SPSS v.21.0 software program. Results: The experimental group showed a significant reduction of physical fitness: basic of physical fitness (t=-2.07, p=.041), flexibility (t=2.25, p=.027), muscular strength (t=2.70, p=.009), agility (t=-3.35, p=.001), except for sense of balance (t=-0.91, p=.368), while control group showed no change in these variables. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that the physical activity program has proved to be a stable and physically active intervention program for physical activity in intellectually disabled persons.
Objective : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the dimensional errors between real tooth, 3D CT image and CARP model. Materials and Methods : Two maxilla and two mandible block bones with intact teeth were taken from two cadavers. Computed tomography was taken either in dry state and in wet state. After then, all teeth were extracted and the dimensions of the real teeth were measured using a digital caliper at mesio-distal and bucco-lingual width both in crown and cervical portion. 3D CT image was generated using the V-works $4.0^{TM}$ (Cybemed Inc., Seoul, Korea) software. Twelve teeth were randomly selected for CARP model fabrication. All the measurements of 3D Ct images and CARP models were made in the same manner of the real tooth group. Dimensional errors between real tooth, 3D CT image model and CARP model was calculated. Results : 1) Average of absolute error was 0.199 mm between real teeth and 3D CT image model, 0.169 mm between 3D CT image model and CARP model and 0.291 mm between real teeth and CARP model, respectively. 2) Average size of 3D CT image was smaller than real teeth by 0.149 mm and that of CARP model was smalier than 3D CT image model by 0.067mm. Conclusion : Within the scope of this study, CARP model with the 0.291 mm average of absolute eror can aid to enhance the success rate cf autogenous tooth transplantation due to the increased accuracy of recipient bone and donor tooth.

In this paper, the operation principle of a bi-directional switch type resonant AC link snubber circuit was described, together with the practical design procedure, which employs in the proposed power module bridge package type resonant AC link snubber. The novel prototype of power module bridge package type resonant AC link snubber-assisted voltage type sinewave soft switching PWM inverter using IGBT power module was demonstrated herein. It was verified that both the auxiliary power switches in this resonant AC link snubber circuit and the main power switches commutate under the condition of soft switching commutation principle. In addition, the power losses of the new soft switching inverter treated here were analyzed by implementing the experimental data of the IGBT and diode v-i characteristics in addition to switching power loss characteristics into our original computer simulation software developed by the authors. Then, the voltage type sinewave soft switching PWM inverter was high efficiency than that of hard switching PWM inverter, along with performance operation waveforms. In the future, the comparative feasibility study of power module bridge type resonant AC link snubber and its related soft switching inverter in addition to the other types resonant snubber assisted soft switching inverter should be done from a practical point of view.
A digital image correlation(DIC) method is a whole-field measurement technique that acquires surface displacements and strains from images information which characterized a random speckle as intensity grey levels. Recently years, this DIC method is being developed and used increasingly in various research. In this study, we tried to apply to aluminum alloy(Al 6061-T6) using DIC method and strain gauge. DIC results demonstrated the usefulness and ability to determine a strain. The test specimen used in this study was an aluminum alloy(Al 6061-T6, thickness 1 mm). For a strain measurement, a strain gauge was attached at the center of a specimen. A specimen was lightly sprayed with a white paint and a black dot pattern was sprayed on its fully dried white surface to obtain a random speckle. The experimental apparatus used to perform the tensile test consisted of universal dynamic tester(5 kN; T.O. Co.) under displacement speed of 0.5, 1.0 and 3.0 mm/min. A Model 5100 B Scanner(V. Co.) used to obtain a strain. A CCD camera connected to a PC uses to record the images of the specimen surface. After acquisition, the images were transferred to PC where the DIC software was implemented. An acquired image was evaluated by the DIC program. DIC method for displacement and strain was suggests and it results show a good consistent remarkably. DIC results demonstrated the usefulness and ability to determine surface strain was better than by using classical measurements. The strain field measurement using a DIC is so useful that it can be applied to map strain distributions at a full area. DIC method can evaluate a strain change so it can predict a location of fracture. The findings of the investigation suggest that the DIC method is an efficient and reliable tool for full-field monitoring and detailed damage characterization of materials.

One of the major threats to the stability of classical columns and colonnades are earthquakes. The behavior of columns under high seismic excitation loads is non-linear and complex since rocking, wobbling and sliding failure modes can occur. Therefore, three dimensional simulation approaches are essential to investigate the in-plane and out-of-plane response of such structures during harmonic and seismic loading excitations. Using a software based on the Distinct Element Method (DEM) of analysis, a three dimensional numerical study has been performed to investigate the parameters affecting the seismic behaviour of colonnades' structural systems. A typical section of the two-storey colonnade of the Forum in Pompeii has been modelled and studied parametrically, in order to identify the main factors affecting the stability and to improve our understanding of the earthquake behaviour of such structures. The model is then used to compare the results between 2D and 3D simulations emphasizing the different response for the selected earthquake records. From the results analysis, it was found that the high-frequency motion requires large base acceleration amplitude to lead to the collapse of the colonnade in a shear-slip mode between the drums. However, low-frequency harmonic excitations are more prominent to cause structural collapse of the two-storey colonnade than the high-frequency ones with predominant rocking failure mode. Finally, the 2D analysis found to be unconservative since underestimates the displacement demands of the colonnade system when compared with the 3D analysis.
