  • Risk management is increasingly seen as one of the main jobs of project managers. It involves anticipating risks that might affect the project schedule or the quality of the software being developed and taking action to avoid these risks. The results of the risk analysis should be documented in the project plan along with an analysis of the consequences of a risk occurring. Effective risk management makes it easier to cope with problems and to ensure that these do not lead to unacceptable budget or schedule slippage. This research provides criteria of analysis of risk items to the estimation of process milestone on software development. Also, In this paper propose to a fixed quantity and transition phase.

  • In order to The certification of CMMI level is positioned as the most important part of software development company competitiveness. From that point, you will be able to find the various CMMI based process improvement activities of the companies in the above. This paper presents the activity method, such as organization, process application method for the CMMI based process improvement, through the field application. Based on that, this paper enables you to understand the model application method. And we also carry out the application case analysis of defect management with the schedule/effort analysis and colleague's check activity to show the improvement effectiveness, based on the quantitative analysis. And we present the problem and improvement part of real application. The result of this paper will be used to understand the effectiveness of quantitative process management, mentioned in the CMM. And furthermore, we also expect this paper to be useful for the organization to improve the process based on CMM in the future.

Understanding ISP Methodologies and Identifying Requirements of ISP-Supporting Software Tools

  • There exist a number of information systems planning(ISP) methodologies. As the level of market competition gets intensified, firms are more likely to engage in organizational transformations such as BPR and CPI(continuous process improvement). Because this new requirement should be incorporated into ISP methodology, the number of ISP methodologies available will be continually increasing. However, we could not find a framework for understanding and classifying these divergent methodologies. So, we here present a framework for classifying ISP methodology classes. With this framework, we categorize different classes of ISP methodologies and identify their limitations in terms of missing elements and links. And we move on to present new technical innovations and other methodological advances that, if properly integrated with ISP methodologies, would help us derive an IT infrastructure plan more effectively. Furthermore, in search of software tools or aids supporting the application of ISP methodologies, we identify requirements of ISP-supporting software tools and evaluate functions of existing software tools, then suggesting a future direction to that end.

  • 소프트웨어 융/복합화가 가속화되면서 소프트웨어의 역할이 높아지면서 소프트웨어뿐만 아니라 소프트웨어 프로세스에 대한 관심도 증대되고 있다. 본 논문은 국내 소프트웨어 실무자들을 대상으로 주요한 소프트웨어 프로세스 개선의 장애요인들을 식별하고, 조직의 특성에 따라 장애요인들이 달라지는지를 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 국내 SW개발 프로젝트의 실무자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시, 분석하였다. 분석결과 SW 공학기법이나 조직의 개선이나 혁신에 대한 관심이나 노력이 가장 큰 장애요인으로 식별되었다.

  • SW 기업들이 SW 프로세스 개선(Software Process Improvement; SPI)을 개선하기 위해 많은 관심과 노력을 투입해 왔음에도 불구하고, 이런 SW 프로세스 개선 활동이 풀질, 비용, 납기준수에 어떠한 영향을 주는지에 대한 구체적인 자료들이 부족한 편이다. 사례를 기반으로 하는 기존 연구의 결과는 대기업을 대상으로 특정 방법론의 효과성에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 본 연구에서는 SW 프로세스 개선활동들에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓히기 위해 국내 SW 개발 조직의 프로젝트 관리자를 대상으로 SW 프로세스의 이행과 프로젝트 비용에 대한 데이터를 수집하였다. 이를 기반으로 SW 프로세스 개선 모델이 제시하고 있는 가정사항인 SW 프로세스 능력수준이 높으면 프로젝트 성과가 좋은지를 분석하였다.

  • This paper presents a result of simulation and improvement of grinding process for linear motion guide blocks. A simulation software, which is based on cylindrical grinding process. is used to predict the grinding wheel wear during the grinding process. To validate the simulation, the simulation result is compared with the experimental one. Simulation study is extended to obtain an optimal grinding condition for minimizing the grinding wheel wear. The optimal condition is validated through an experiment.

  • In this study, SiNx and Al2O3 thin film was manufactured using PECVD deposition process and applied to crystalline silicon solar cells, resulting in 16.7% conversion efficiency. The structural improvement experiment of the rear electrode resulted in a 1.7% improvement in conversion efficiency compared to the reference cell by reducing the recombination rate of minority carriers and increasing the carrier lifetime by forming a passivation layer consisting of SiNx and Al2O3 thin films through the PECVD process.

  • The software development methodology has not caught up with the rapid change of information technology. Most of the software development projects use structural methodology or information engineering methodology. If established software development methodologies don't reflect technologies applied to the project, the project may be performed ineffectively. This paper describes a model in which we can apply a new information technology to an already existed structural methodology or information engineering methodology. This model uses the technique of the divide and conquer that software development life cycle is divided into phases, each phase is divided into viewpoint- areas and the software development processes of a new information technology are applied to each small area. By using the design phase this paper shows application example, in which I applied web-based development processes to CS@RoadMap Methodology of KCC Information & Communication, a system provider in Korea. The CS@RoadMap Methodology reflecting the Web technology, Web@RoadMap Methodology, has been applied to the public-domain projects.

  • Extreme programming is the most representative methodology among agile software development methodologies that is agile in business environment which change fast. As software industry is matured, usability of software quality characteristics is emphasized gradually, but effort to obtain usability in extreme programming is insufficient. In this paper, three things lacked in extreme programming are reinforced. First, roles of user interface expert are defined. Second, usability testing method to extreme programming are introduced. Third, development process and products are proposed. The proposed plan is validated by four methods, which analyze supporting software development life cycle, analyze satisfaction of CMM key process areas, analyze satisfaction of CMM practices, and analyze development of green tea shopping mail. Green tea shopping mall is improved 23% in the estimated running time, 21% in the learnability. Also, usability is improved 18% in the heuristic evaluation and 16% in the questionnaire method.

  • FRACAS(Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System) is intended to provide management visibility and control for reliability and maintainability improvement of hardware and associated software by timely and disciplined utilization of failure and maintenance data to generate and implement effective corrective actions to prevent failure recurrence and to simplify or reduce the maintenance tasks. This process applies to acquisition for the design, development, fabrication, test, and operation or military systems, equipment, and associated computer programs. This paper shows the FRACAS development process and developed FRACAS system for a defense equipment.
