  • In this paper, we studied a light distribution for the LED chips arrangement using an optical design software. The structures of the edge type LED luminaires are reflector plane, LGP(lighting guide plane) and diffuse plane. The reflector plane is on the middle of the overall structure. We had simulation that placing LED chips on the reflector center of the reflector edge by changing the position of LED chips above the reflector center at 1mm, 2mm, and 3mm respectively. In the case, when LED chips are on the center of the reflector, it shows the light distribution of the general diffuse illumination, the semi-direct distribution with 0.56 efficiency and the direct distribution with 0.31 efficiency. And the wedge type LGP shows more efficiency than the flat type. Gradually increasing shape of semi-spherical type by 0.015mm has power of 1.02W, efficiency of 0.25, and maximum luminous intensity of 0.104W/sr, it also and shows the better optical characteristics than the reflector plane that have no patterns. This semi-spherical type shows the better optical characteristics than the reflector plane that have no patterns.

  • Biometric information computing is greatly influencing both a computing system and Big-data system based on the bio-information system that combines bio-signal sensors and bio-information processing. Unlike conventional data formats such as text, images, and videos, biometric information is represented by text-based values that give meaning to a bio-signal, important event moments are stored in an image format, a complex data format such as a video format is constructed for data prediction and analysis through time series analysis. Such a complex data structure may be separately requested by text, image, video format depending on characteristics of data required by individual biometric information application services, or may request complex data formats simultaneously depending on the situation. Since previous bio-information processing computing systems depend on conventional computing component, computing structure, and data processing method, they have many inefficiencies in terms of data processing performance, transmission capability, storage efficiency, and system safety. In this study, we propose an improved biosensing converged big data computing architecture to build a platform that supports biometric information processing computing effectively. The proposed architecture effectively supports data storage and transmission efficiency, computing performance, and system stability. And, it can lay the foundation for system implementation and biometric information service optimization optimized for future biometric information computing.

  • A conventional elastic material replacement and performance evaluation are very complicated and time-consuming, and it is difficult to know when to replace the elastic material in advance. By comparing with the product limit and the functional limit, the necessity of elastic material replacement and the improvement of track support stiffness according to replacement can be immediately demonstrated based on experimental data. Using an evaluation system of track support stiffness, the performance evaluation data for elastic materials obtained through field tests using software for track support stiffness is integrated and managed on the administrator's computer. Therefore, the replacement plan is established and maintenance history is managed by identifying the replacement time and location of elastic materials. It is possible to evaluate the performance and condition of the elastic material at the various points during the working time of the track inspection and the track performance (track support stiffness) and durability of the elastic material (aging level, spring stiffness variation rate, etc.) at the operation condition. The elastic material could be replaced timely, and the deterioration of the elastic material can be continuously monitored.

  • In this paper, we proposed a service that provides CPA/TCPA information to ships, without ARPA/ATA devices to support decision making of the navigator for maritime safety based on various services at shore and off-shore. To verify the proposed service, we use SiNAS (scenario-based simulator for NAS) with CPA/TCPA information providing software to evaluate its usability, because executing the test in real ship has many limitations and difficulties. To do this, we specify two simulation scenarios for the required purpose, and we liaise twelve participants with various navigation experience to conduct the simulations. Also, we analyze the results of simulation using mission success or not, the minimum approaching distance with the target ship, the time of a recognition the target ship, the time of a first action for collision avoidance with the target ship, and so on. Then, we evaluate usability of the proposed service based on the three elements which are effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction.
