In the construction on low strength and high compressible soft ground, the many problems have been occurred in recent construction project. therefore, the soil improvement have been developed to obtain high strength in relatively short period of curing time. Based on the laboratory tests using undisturbed marine clay, the effect of improvement on soft ground was estimated. Deep mixing method by cement have been virtually used for decades to improve the mechanical properties of soft ground. However, previous researches set the focus on the short term strength the about 10% of cement treated clay. In this paper, cement and Natural Soil Stabilizer (NSS) were used as the stabilizing agent to obtain trafficability and mechanical strength of the soft clay. Based on the several laboratory tests, optimum condition was proposed to ensure the mechanical strength and compressibility as the foundation soil using cement and NSS mixed soil. Finally, research data was proposed about the applicability of NSS as the stabilizing agent to soft clay to increase the mechanical strength of soil.

Purpose: Unplanned excision of a soft tissue sarcoma is defined as the operation performed for gross removal of a soft tissue sarcoma without regard for preoperative imaging or the necessity to removal a margin of normal tissue covering the cancer. We report our experience of treating primary soft tissue sarcoma after an unplanned excision. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 31 patients referred to our hospital after unplanned excision at other hospitals for treatment of a STS. The clinical information was reviewed with a focus on the patient's age, gender, tumor location, tumor size, tumor depth, presumptive diagnoses at the previous surgery, refer hospital, definitive diagnosis, interval between the initial and additional surgery and local recurrence. Results: There were 19 males and 12 females with a median age of 48 years (range, 17-75 years) at the time of referral. Seventeen patients (54.8%) had tumors in their lower limb, 6 (19.4%) had tumors in their upper limb, and 8 (25.8%) had tumors in their trunk. Tumor depth could be determined for 8 patients (25.8%), with superficial and 22 deep tumors (71%). The medial interval between unplanned excision to re-excision ranged from 2 weeks to 1 year (median, 5 weeks). Local recurrence was detected in 2 patients. All patients were alive without metastasis at last follow up. Conclusion: Even in upper class general hospital, many unplanned excision had been performed, which is considered to be avoided. When the relatively huge mass located in deeper layer it requires enough preoperative imaging studies and biopsy.

Electric transmission lines pass through a variety of area. Foundation supporting the conductors and tower are selected properly in accordance with external load, for example dead load, wind load, snow load, construction load etc, and topography and geology condition. Typical types of foundation are as follows: pad foundation for small load and hard soil or rock in mountainous area, pile foundation for medium or large load and soft soil in plain field area. This paper introduced cylindrical foundation design & construction for large load and mountainous area. This foundation failure mode against pulling-out show splitting failure by tensile force toward circumferential direction.

The hat is the most flexible human head covering. Almost entirely enveloping the hair, it can be simple, pure, elegant and mysterious. Yet it is frequently a highly decorative form of dress. The hat also takes a part in the extension of the area of art as soft-sculpture. My purpose of this thesis is to present diverse artistic hats with natural images by nontraditional materials and natural resources. The reason why I select nature as them is that it is absolutely the origin of life and art. To develop the innovative hat design, I focus on the material to extend the range of art expression. I observe nontraditional materials such as wire, paper and so on that enhance heterogenetic feeling from natural images. The attempt is made to enhance the visual effect by harmonizing the disharmonious feeling. Natural resources such as moss, orange, feather and so on could be adapted to the hat and applied for unique design, which supplies new expression. Therefore, the harmony of natural images and natural resources could avoid dullness, bestow elegance and polish the unique beauty creation of the hat.

In mobile phone, complex user interface tend to cause the degradation of product usability. This problem is mainly due to the small hardware user interface of mobile phone. That is, because many functions must be operated in small hardware interface, the principle of one-to-one mapping between a function and a control is disregarded in design, often. In order to resolve this problem, users' characteristics must be considered in the user interface design of mobile phone. So, users' basic characteristics that must be considered in the user interface design of mobile phone were studied through two experiments, questionnaire survey and user testing.

Thedenoising of a natural image corrupted by Gaussian noise is a long established problem in signal or image processing. Today the research is focus on the wavelet domain, especially using the wavelet threshold method. In this paper, a waveletbased image denoising modified adaptive thresholding method is proposed. The proposed method computes thethreshold adaptively based on the scale level and adaptively estimates wavelet coefficients by using a modified thresholding function that considers the dependency between the parent coefficient and child coefficient and the soft thresholding function at different scales. Experimental results show that the proposed method provides high peak signal-to-noise ratio results and preserves the detailed information of the original image well, resulting in a superior quality image.

This paper purports to find the characteristics of blue costumes as expressed in modern fashion. As such, we made an empirical analysis, using 436 works from 2006 S/S through 2010 F/W collections. Result indicated that modernness was emphasized by applying a minimum expressive technique to items of a simple form, and an image of simplicity was emphasized by placing focus on the rational color image of blue. Second, images of blue, such as trust, stability, and success were expressed as refined elegance through the combination of tight silhouettes, glossy and translucent materials, and indirect exposure. Third, natural image was expressed through natural silhouettes, soft or natural materials, gradation of various tones, and natural motif decorations as well as the color itself. Fourth, dynamic image was expressed by introducing fashion items, mostly worn by men only, to simple and tight forms or through the inspiration of a masculine fashion image. Fifth, abstinent image was expressed by using an image of religious apparel or symbols, covering up the body, minimizing details, and using a dark blue tone.

A 49-year-old male patient with a carcinoma of the right pyriform sinus had a whole-body bone scan and gamma camera based F-18 FDG-PET for staging. Tc-99m MDP bone scan depicted diffuse increased uptake in the left femur due to chronic osteomyelitis but no skeletal metastasis. F-18-FDG-PET revealed increased focal bone uptake and uptake in the draining sinus due to chronic osteomyelitis in addition to visualization of the right pyriform sinus carcinoma and right neck nodal uptake. Fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography is significantly more accurate than the bone scan in pinpointing chronic osteomyelitis focus and draining soft tissue infection.

The most noteworthy fact is that along with the development of technology and increase of income, the phenomenon of soft and service enablement of economy giving a great deal of weight on service has been progressively spread throughout the whole process of development, sales, consumption, and employment geared with development of technology and gains in earnings.

Acute osteomyelitis is usually shown as a localized area of increased activity (hot uptake) in the infectious focus on bone scintigraphy. In our patient, absence of radioactivity (cold lesion) was noted in the distal metaphyseal and diaphyseal regions of his right femur. Initial x-ray was interpreted as normal except for mild soft tissue swelling in the right thigh. The lesion was confirmed as an acute osteomyelitis with subperiosteal abscess on surgery. Staphylococcus aureus was the etiologic organism. We describe a case of acute osteomyelitis in a one-year-old boy shown as a cold lesion on bone scan.
