  • Korea-Japan Joint VLBI Correlator (KJJVC), to be used for Korean VLBI Network (KVN) in Korea Astronomy & Space Science Institute (KASI), is a high-speed calculator that outputs the correlation results in the maximum speed of 1.4GB/sec.To receive and record this data keeping up with this speed and with no loss, the design of the software running on the data archive system for receving and recording the output data from the correlator is very important. But, the simple kind of programming using just single thread that receives data from network and records it by turns, can cause a bottleneck effect while processing high speed data and a probable data loss, and cannot utilize the merit of hardwares supporting multi core or hyper threading, or operating systems supporting these hardwares. In this talk we summarize the design of the data transfer software for KJJVC and high speed, large capacity data archive system using general socket programming and multi threading techniques, and the pre-BMT(Bench Marking Test) results from the tests of the storage product providers' proposals using this software.

  • The spherical flange was designed to apply to a cryogenic high pressure pipe of the Liquid Rocket Engine. It is designed that the spherical flange is able to be assembled and kept airtight upto $2.5^{\circ}$ of the axial misalignment between the combined components. It increases the degree of freedom of the engine assembly. The spherical flange is composed of a ball and socket joint, a metal seal and spherical type bolts, washers. The prototype was verified by leak test at the room temperature and the cryogenic temperature. Additionally the strength test and the destructive test were performed at the room temperature.

  • Glenoid labrum acts as one of static stabilizer of the glenohumeral joint. It deepens the glenoid socket and may also serve as a chock, acting as a wedge in preventing glenohumeral translation. Two types of variations in labral anatomy were noted by Detrisac and Johnson. Type A has a superior labrum that is detached centrally but well attached peripherally. The type B labrum is well attached centrally and peripherally at all sites. A meniscoid-type labrum is thought to be normal unless there are splits or fragmentation of the overlying labral tissue. Meniscoid type labrum is different from SLAP II lesion in that it has a firm anchoring on the superior labrum. We observed four cases that had a meniscoid variant superior labrum, which covered the superior glenoid unusually larger than normal in the arthroscopic treatment of shoulder pathology including instability and rotator cuff diseases. We did arthroscopic reshaping and debridement of meniscoid variant superior labrum combined with pathologic change of the glenohumeral joint. Further study would be required for understanding the mechanism of the development of meniscoid variant labrum and its clinical significance.

  • This article studies on the character design of North Korea's puppet animation around 1985. At that time North Korea's puppet animation are improved glaringly in quantitative side and qualitative side of modeling. There has been constant support nationalistically to puppet animation from the initial period of animation production in North Korea unlike South Korea, and North Korea communicated lively with European socialist countries where tradition of puppet animation is strong. We can discover structural and figurative change of distinct feature in character design in 1985. Structurally, experimental forms and correct movement of joint were possible, because they used ball and socket armature. Expressively, they established own esthetics of character design in puppet animation applying technique of korean traditional painting to character design: laconism, perspicuity, delicacy.

  • Preface: Dental implant is important method that may solve the mastication, occlusion, esthetic, temporomandibular joint, and psychologic problem in oral and maxillofacial surgery. It is ideal that all of the implant are well positioned by adequate technique. By the way it‘s not always possible because of some anatomic, physiologic factor. In this case, If the implant can be moved to adequate position, it may be possible more esthetically and implanted patients more satisfied, but the majority of Implantists and orthodontists have thought that it is not possible. However, Implant, in fact, can be moved. and thus we can overcome the limit of implantation more. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the possibility of implant movement after corticotomy. Case report: Patient missed the upper right first molar. and implantation was done after completion of socket healing. We wait six months for osseointegration. Then, corticotomy was done under local anesthesia and close coil was used for orthodontic force. After traction during 3 weeks, we find the change of implant position at horizontal plane. we can not see the degenerative change on adjacent structure and tracted implant. there is a clinical mobility on upper right second premolar that used for anchorage but it subside spontaneously at the timing of prosthetic restoration without additional treatment. Discussion: As we could have some knowledge with this experiment, we report the case of implant movement after corticotomy and suggest a method about more esthetic implant treatment with a review of literature.

  • Fuel gas is an important energy source that is being increasingly used because of the convenience and clean energy provided. Natural gas is supplied to consumers safely through an underground gas-pipe network made of a polyethylene material. In electrofusion, which is one of the joining methods used, copper wire is used as the heating wire. However, it takes a long time for fusion to occur because the electrical resistance of copper is low. In this study, therefore, electrofusion was conducted by replacing the copper heating wire with carbon fiber to reduce the fusion time and improve the production when joining large pipes. Fusion and tensile tests were performed after the electrofusion joint was made in the polyethylene pipe using carbon fiber. The results showed that the fusion time was shorter and the temperature inside the pipe was higher with an increase in the current value. The ultimate tensile strength of specimens was higher than that of virgin polyethylene pipe, except for polyethylene pipes joined using a current of 0.8 A. The best fusion current value was 0.9 or 1.0 A because of the short fusion time and lack of transformation inside the pipe. Thus, it was shown that carbon fiber can be used to replace the copper heating wire.

  • Purpose: Pipes are widely used as applied devices in many industrial fields such as machinery, electronics, electricity, and plants, and are also widely used in safety-related fields such as firefighting and chemistry. With the diversification of products, the importance of technology in the piping field is also increasing. In particular, when changing the existing copper pipe to stainless steel, it is necessary to evaluate safety and flow characteristics through structural analysis or flow analysis. Method: This study investigated the safety by flow analysis of the 6.35 inch socket model, which are integrated insert type connectors developed by a company, using CFD analysis technique. For CDF analysis, RAN model and LES model are used. Result: As results of the analysis, amplitude of the pressure fluctuation acting on the wall of the piping system is formed at a level of 3,780 Pa or less, which is a very small level of pressure compared with the operating pressure or design stress of the refrigerant piping. Conclusion: These results mean that the effect of vibration caused by turbulence on the structural safety of the pipe is negligible.
