감성공학의 개념과 연구 및 응용 방법 (Sensibility Ergonomics : Needs, Concepts, Methods and Applications)

  • History of the Sensibility Ergonomics is explained. Concepts, definition, and research methods on the human sensibility are proposed for systematic applications of human sensibility studies to product and environment developments. Sensibility Ergonomics was born in socio-technological environments where consumers required aesthetic and satisfactory products in addition to useful and usable ones, and manufactures were trying to develop consumer-oriented, user-friendly products. Sensibility Ergonomics is defined as "multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary processes for developing products and environment as usable, comfortable and satisfactory with the information on human sensibility." Human sensibility is functionally defined as "feelings generated when perceived sensory and information stimuli are reflected from memory which has been accumulated through personal experiences." Human sensibility is affected by at least three factors: personal, social, and cultural. Consumers evaluate products in three aspects : functional, sensorial, and cultural sensibilities. Human sensibility is personal, dynamic, and ambiguous. It is generated reflectively and intuitively against external stimuli. No Physiological responses are accompanied, and one cannot control his/her sensibility. However, the sensibility affects the decision making or behavior of the person. To understand the human sensibility many inter-disciplinary methods should be used instead of one-variable approach. Micro-scopic studies such as Questionnaire, interview, behavioral analysis, and psychophysiological experiments can be performed. In addition, social and cultural studies are essential to understand an individual's sensibility. Results of sensibility studies can be applied to setup new interactions between human and machine through sensible(or affective) human-machine (computer) interfaces. Human-oriented and user-friendly products can be made with the information on human sensibility.

현대 디지털 패션쇼에 나타난 하이브리드 디지털 문화적 특성 (Cultural Features in Modern Digital Fashion Shows Focusing on Hybrid Digital Culture)

  • Purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning of the hybrid digital culture and to find out the features of digital fashion shows appearing in the period of the hybrid digital culture as there have been almost no studies on the hybrid cultural values in the fashion shows and on the diachronic socio-cultural viewpoint of fashion show. The characteristics of hybrid digital culture were identified through the analysis of cases, and they were organized into three for this study; 'non-economic creativity', 'interactive communication' and 'transcendence'. Based on these characteristics, the features of hybrid digital cultures in the modern digital fashion shows were classified into the digitalization of presentation form and the acceptance by audience of digitalization using case studies. The features of digital fashion shows which appear through the presentation form in the digital fashion shows are as follows; 'Expansion of presentation media of runway' and 'Destruction of component factors of runway'. The features of digital fashion show in the perspective of audience's acceptance of digitalization are as follows; 'Audience's field experience through the live video', 'Participation by audience in interactive manner' and, 'Immersion in the virtual reality by the audiences'.

우리나라 도읍경관 변천과정의 기초연구(I) (A Basic Study on the Landscape Morphogenesis of Major Local towns (Do-Eup) in Korea(I))

  • The landscape structure of the both pre-industrial and industrial cities should be influenced to the topographical feature , religious thoughts, political ruling system and history. In the major socio-cultural factors in the pre-industrial townscapes in korea, the Feng - Shui(poongsu) which is an acient human settlement organization system based on the “Yin - Yang” principle and “Five Elements” and “Chryaegogong”system were the most important factors to the formation of traditional town scape in Korea. The landscape during the Japanese colonial periods were basically reorganized through change of “Boundary”, “Center” “Direction(path)” and “Domain” which were expressed by distinct traditional townscape in Yi dynasty. The physical shapes, meanings and behaviors of townscape were expressed properly of the intention of the colonization. As changes to the mordern industrial cities, the townscape had been amended landscape elements of the Japanese imperialism to an ideology of rebirth nation. Also as changes to the modern industrial cities, “Boundary”, “Center”, and “Domain” spreaded into the suburbs by funtionalsm and these were expressed an incoherent value system which were the advancement of growth, pursuit policies as well as an advancement of science techniques.

  • In accordance with changes in life style, people's desire to eat out is getting changed in their preferring factors from whether they can buy food they want to eat fast and easily to mood of the dining space, content and quality of service, hygiene condition of restaurant, quiet location and surrounding circumstance, and discount coupon and price destruction. In addition, consumers who begin to recognize the seriousness of environmental pollution prefer health-oriented food. On the other hand, excessive presence of competitors, growing personnel expense, increasing expenditure in accordance with swelling price of rent and material expenditure, increase of tax burden, decrease of income because of credit card service charge and high expected level by consumers make it difficult for restaurant's owners to manage restaurant business. Therefore, this study purposes to establish development of menu from the consumer's and the supplier's point of view and propose how to develop menu aiming at convenience, health and diversity.

  • There are two types of railway alignment design. First type is a modification of existing railway and second type is a planning of whole new alignment. Modification of existing railway would be more simpler, usually, main scope is improving a capacity with adopting standard track gauge, straighten intensively curved part. But planning new alignment should be considered various factors, not only topographic feature, but cultural, socio-economical, environmental factors. This paper is based on the performed project in the United Arab Emirates, the Arabian Peninsular, with Korea railroad corporation, Korea Rail Network Authority, and other skilled Korean design firms participated on May, 2006.

Analysis of Suicide Research on Multicultural Youth in Korea

  • As multicultural population has been drastically increasing over the decade in Korea, their quality of life needs to be studied. This study focuses on multicultural youths' suicidal issue in Korea. Suicide is one of the most obvious indicators to show the current status of mental health. Unfortunately, suicide attempt rate of multicultural youths was two-times more than that of non-multicultural youths in Korea during the past two years(2014-15). Through the literature review in Korea as well as the United States, this study explores the related variables to their suicide attempt. Research result says that multicultural youth's suicide is related to a variety of variables, including physical, psychological, educational, socio-economical, and cultural variables. Research implications are as follows: First, these variables can be utilized as predictive or protective factors to prevent their suicide. Second, theoretical framework for comprehensively understanding their suicidal issues needs to be developed. Third, both emergent and normal suicidal interventions need to be provided for multicultural youth in Korea.

사회공헌활동이 기업 간 연계 활동의 매개효과를 중심으로 지역발전성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Social Contribution Activities on Local Developmental Achievement with a focus on the Mediating effect of Inter-Firm Connected Activity)

  • 기업의 사회적 책임에 대한 인식과 요구가 증대되면서, 사회적 기여를 위한 기업의 활동이 다양해지고 있는 추세이다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 정기적으로 실시하는 관련 설문 조사에 따르면 기업의 사회 공헌활동에 대해 국민이 만족하지 못하는 것으로 나타났으며, 기업과 국민의 사회공헌활동에 대한 관점이 다른 것을 파악할 수 있었다. 이에 따라 다양한 사회공헌활동을 구체적으로 분류하여 사회에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 기업 사회공헌활동과 성과에 대한 연관성을 파악하고자 사회공헌활동을 "사회문화적자원 활동", "사회간접적자원 활동" 및 "경제적자원 활동" 총 3가지 요인으로 분류하고, 요인별로 기업 간 연계활동과 지역발전성과에 미치는 영향을 파악하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, '사회문화적자원'과 '사회간접적자원' 활동은 지역 내 '기업 간 연계 활동'에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, '지역 내 기업 간 연계' 활동이 활발할수록 '지역발전성과'에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, '경제적자원' 활동은 '지역발전성과'에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 넷째, '사회문화적자원'과 '사회간접적자원' 활동은 지역 내 기업 간의 연계를 통해 '지역발전성과'에 간접적인 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 기업의 사회공헌활동과 성과에 대한 연관성을 정량적으로 파악하고 제시하였다.

직장 내 갈등경험의 과정에 대한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on Work Conflict Experience)

  • 본 연구는 한국의 사회문화적 맥락 내에서 직장인들이 경험하는 갈등의 의미와 현상을 당사자의 입장에서 통합적으로 기술하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서로 다른 직종에 종사하는 직장인 11명을 연구대상으로 선정하고 심층면접을 통해 자료를 수집하고 근거이론의 방법에 따라 분석을 실시하였다. 개방코딩을 통해 102개의 개념, 63개의 하위범주와 32개의 범주가 도출되었고, 이를 토대로 축코딩을 실시하였다. 우선, 갈등의 중심현상으로 '부정적 정서'를 설정한 다음, 인과적 조건으로 '상대의 업무방식'을, 인과조건에 영향을 미치는 맥락 조건으로는 조직과 업무적인 측면의 '상황 특성', 갈등을 유발한 '대상 특성'과 갈등 당사자인 '당사자 특성', 그리고 양자 사이의 관계인 '상호성'을 도출하였다. 작용/상호작용 전략은 '회피하기'와 '감정 표출하기', '해결 노력'을 꼽았으며, 작용/상호작용 전략의 강도를 조절하는 중재 조건으로는 갈등에 관여된 사람들의 '관계'와 갈등을 경험하는 '당사자 특성', 중재자의 '중재 여부', 그리고 '조직/업무 특성'이 도출되었다. 마지막으로 결과는 '갈등의 지속'과 '인사 변경' 외에 '긍정적 효과'로 정리되었다. 이후, 선택코딩에서는 '갈등에 대처하기'를 핵심범주로 꼽아 '회피형', '감정해소형', '문제해결형'의 세 가지 유형을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 직장 내 갈등을 일회성 사건으로 보고 사회문화적 맥락에 대한 고려 없이 논의해 온 기존 경험적 연구의 한계를 보완하는 실제적 갈등현상의 특징에 대해 기술하였다. 또한 추후 갈등 관련 경험적 연구의 이론적 토대가 될 수 있는 통합적인 모형을 제시했다는 데에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

Factors Affecting Business Performance of Women-Owned Small and Medium Enterprises in Vietnam: A Quantitative Study

  • This paper explores the key factors influencing the business performance of enterprises, specifically women-owned small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam. The extant literature on factors affecting the business performance of women-owned SMEs in Vietnam is still quite scarce. The researchers used a self-administered questionnaire to achieve a sample of 265 female SME owners in Vietnam to find these factors. The obtained data was analyzed by using SPSS 20.0. Cronbach's α test and factor analysis have been carried out to test the reliability of data and validate the hypothesis. The results showed that these enterprises' performances had a significant positive relationship with the business management competencies of the directors of the business, quality of human resources, financial access, socio-cultural factors, and government policy. Also, the study showed no relationship between the enterprise's business network and business performance. The results suggest that female business owners should improve their business management capacity, focusing on training activities to improve the quality of human resources of enterprises. The Government needs policies to support small and medium enterprises in accessing financial and other resources and propagate to reduce gender stereotypes.

우리나라 사서직의 역사적 발전: 1961년에서 1979년까지 (Historical Development of Librarianship in South Korea : From 1961 to 1979)

  • 하나의 전문직으로서 사서직은 사회적 기구이며 사회의 여러 요소와 함께 영향을 끼치며 존재해 왔다. 이러한 사서직의 발전은 역사적$\cdot$사회적인 과정이며 그 사회의 역사와 사회속에서 이해되어야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 우리나라의 발전기인 1961년부터 1979년까지 사회의 발전이란 맥락 속에서 전문직으로서의 사서직의 발전을 사회역사적(socio-historical) 분석방법을 이용하여 재조명하는데 초점을 맞추어 (1) 그 당시 우리나라 사서직의 발전을 살펴보고, (2) 이러한 사서직의 정치, 경제, 문화 등과의 상호연관성을 분석한 뒤, (3) 사서직의 발전과 사회의 발전과의 관계를 이해하고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구의 중요성은 사서직과 사회와의 관계를 이해하는데 있다.
