  • In the post-information era, most of technologies have a visual part, or at least some functions related to visualization. It is also one of the popular means of presenting materials in education area. However, despite its popularity, the impact of visualization on the effectiveness of learning still remains controversial. Even more controversial is its usefulness in developing creativity, which is one of the most important skills for today's employee. The authors considered the use of visualization as a tool for the development of children's creativity on the example of learning video games, in particular, ClassCraft to distinguish features that, from the point of view of psychology, may lead to developing creativity even being not useful for educational purposes. It is concluded that video games useful for learning may have features, that are inappropriate in formal educational context, but important to develop creative thinking.

  • As the MZ generation, which has recently become a hot topic, enters a major generation that plays various social roles, the need for research on efficient educational methods and content production tailored to the level of the MZ generation continues to be raised. In this reality, this paper was described to discuss the direction of development and raising the level of security educational content. To this end, the effectiveness of security educational content currently being used socially was analyzed, the content of a gametoon that combines the concept of gamification with a webtoon as a development plan was explained, and the educational effect was verified through the Likert scale. Furthermore, it was proposed to effectively utilize it by presenting the direction of development applicable to security educational contents.

  • Korea is increasingly vulnerable to disasters due to changes in economic and social structure. In particular, there are a number of disadvantaged people, such as elderly people, disabled people, basic livelihood recipients, foreigners, multicultural families, etc. who are vulnerable to social problems due to aging, polarization and internationalization. These vulnerable people to disaster have difficulties in acquiring disaster information and to respond promptly by self-help. Of course, recent studies on vulnerable people to disaster have been steadily increasing, but discussions about foreigners have been relatively inadequate. This has led to a lack of understanding about the actual situation of disaster and coping methods. Once general situations set in, foreigners staying in Korea will suffer from a vicious cycle of policy-making from the viewpoint of Korean and difficulties in obtaining relevant information. In this study, we conducted in-depth interviews on the recognition and acquisition path of disaster information for foreign workers living in Korea. Based on the results of the interviews, we derived implications for practical information, such as ways to understand and actively utilize information media frequently visited by foreign workers in Korea.

  • In the social media, information that users share with service providers can be divided into personal identification information such as gender and age and privacy-related information such as photos and comments. However, previous works on IS and service management have shed relatively little light on the difference of information-sharing decisions depending on the type of information. This study examines information-sharing decisions by separating the two types of information. A structural equation modeling method is used to test the research model based on a sample of 350 Facebook in South Korea. Analysis results show that self-expression, trust, and perceived security had a significant positive effect on both user's intentions to give personal identification information and their intentions to give privacy-related information. However, privacy concerns negatively affected their intentions to give personal identification and intention to give privacy-related information. The analysis results confirm that there was no difference between decision-making processes about sharing personal identification information and ones about sharing privacy-related information.

  • Repressive measures in the Crimea against the Ukrainian media and the ban on the entry of international and Ukrainian monitoring missions created the conditions for the function of providing information to be performed by representatives of civil society. Such a phenomenon was called Crimean citizen journalism and became a post-occupation phenomenon characteristic of the Crimean information sphere. The journalists' activities are aimed at reporting on human rights violations and repression against Ukrainian citizens who find themselves in conditions of information bans and restrictions. Crimean citizen journalism, which connects the peninsula with the mainland of Ukraine, is monothematic in nature, and its emergence has become a form of nonviolent resistance to the occupation of Crimea. The purpose of the study is to cover the characteristic features, the development of common Crimean citizen journalistic movement features as a social phenomenon, a phenomenon that arose after the occupation through the identification of a modern journalist portrait. The study uses the general scientific method of empirical research as the main one, the sociological method of a questionnaire survey, as well as the methods of classification, generalisation, observation, statistical calculation. An analysis of a survey of Crimean citizen journalists demonstrates the existence of an active, mobile community in Crimea that seeks to provide information and human rights nonviolent resistance to the occupation.

  • Text mining (TM) is most widely used to process the various unstructured text documents and process the data present in the various domains. The other name for text mining is text classification. This domain is most popular in many domains such as movie reviews, product reviews on various E-commerce websites, sentiment analysis, topic modeling and cyber bullying on social media messages. Cyber-bullying is the type of abusing someone with the insulting language. Personal abusing, sexual harassment, other types of abusing come under cyber-bullying. Several existing systems are developed to detect the bullying words based on their situation in the social networking sites (SNS). SNS becomes platform for bully someone. In this paper, An Enhanced text mining approach is developed by using Ensemble Algorithm (ETMA) to solve several problems in traditional algorithms and improve the accuracy, processing time and quality of the result. ETMA is the algorithm used to analyze the bullying text within the social networking sites (SNS) such as facebook, twitter etc. The ETMA is applied on synthetic dataset collected from various data a source which consists of 5k messages belongs to bullying and non-bullying. The performance is analyzed by showing Precision, Recall, F1-Score and Accuracy.

  • Capturing real-time daily information on food prices is invaluable to help policymakers and development organizations address food security problems and improve public welfare. This study analyses the possible use of large-scale online data, available due to growing Internet connectivity in developing countries, to provide updates on food security landscape. We conduct a case study of Indonesia to develop a time-series prediction model that nowcasts daily food prices for four types of food commodities that are essential in the region: beef, chicken, onion and chilli. By using Twitter price quotes, we demonstrate the capability of social data to function as an affordable and efficient proxy for traditional offline price statistics.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of Media Information Literacy of international students in K-university, who attend the courses in which the classes are delivered only in English. A survey was carried out to find out the level of media information literacy. In order to verify the validity and reliability of the measurement result gathered from the responses, an item analysis was carried out with SPSS21.0, a statistics analysis software, and the diversity of utilizing media information literacy was also measured according to the factors of each analysand group. The analysis result gathered through ${\chi}^2-test$, a frequency analysis tool, shows that international students use domestic media information literacy mainly for daily life activities such as the internet shopping and the bank transaction.

  • The current society relies upon social media on an everyday basis, which contributes to finding which of the following supervised machine learning algorithms used in sentiment analysis have higher accuracy in detecting Malay internet slang and short forms which can be offensive to a person. This paper is to determine which of the algorithms chosen in supervised machine learning with higher accuracy in detecting internet slang and short forms. To analyze the results of the supervised machine learning classifiers, we have chosen two types of datasets, one is political topic-based, and another same set but is mixed with 50 tweets per targeted keyword. The datasets are then manually labelled positive and negative, before separating the 275 tweets into training and testing sets. Naïve Bayes and Random Forest classifiers are then analyzed and evaluated from their performances. Our experiment results show that Random Forest is a better classifier compared to Naïve Bayes.
