사회인지이론과 의학교육: 어떻게 사회적 상호작용을 통해 학습이 일어나는가 (Social Cognitive Theory and Medical Education: How Social Interactions Can Inform Learning)

  • The structures and processes of medical education have changed little since the publication of Flexner's report, which stressed the scientific orientation of medical education and the curricular structure of 2 years of formal knowledge education and 2 years of clinical experience. However, the previous perspectives on medical education are facing challenges, and these call for new pedagogy and theories on which to base medical education practice. Considering that social dimensions of learning have been emphasized in practice, perspectives that integrate these aspects are needed. Among the various learning theories, social cognitive theory refers to the theoretical framework which contends that learning occurs within interactions with others and environments. From a social cognitive standpoint, learning through observation is a critical component in human functioning. Indeed, observational learning has particular significance in medical education in that it provides the context for which the importance and meaning of role models can be understood. In addition, as theoretical constructs such as self-efficacy and outcome expectations allow us to establish an effective learning environment, exploring the concepts of the theory could be beneficial to medical education practice. In this context, the present review article aims to provide a glimpse of the fundamental assumptions and theoretical concepts of social cognitive theory and discusses the implications the theory has on teaching and learning. Further, a review of previous studies could help explain how the theory has informed medical education practice. Finally, the author will conclude with the implications and limitations of applying social cognitive theory in medical education.

베트남 내 기업 CSR활동에 대한 사회인식 지역비교 : 북부 하노이와 남부 호치민을 중심으로 (A Difference of Social Awareness between Northern and Southern Vietnam for Corporate Social Responsibility Activities)

  • 본 논문은 빠르게 변화하는 베트남 기업의 사회 환경을 분석하기 위한 작업으로, CSR에 대한 베트남 현지 인식변화와 지역인식 차이 연구에 초점을 맞추었다. CSR의 사회적 수용성 연구는 베트남에 많은 투자를 하고 사회적 영향력을 행사하는 한국기업, 일본기업 및 중국기업 비교분석을 중심으로 하였다. 또한 한국기업의 CSR활동 과제와 방향을 점검하여, 한국기업의 지속가능한 발전 모색 및 베트남 사회와 기업이 조화로운 협력을 하는데 기여하고자 하였다. 아울러 문헌연구로 얻은 베트남 사회의 CSR 가치발전 연구와 실증조사로 얻은 사회책임 가치관 분석 결과를 연계하여 베트남 사회가 지향하고자 하는 사회책임 가치와 향후 그 발전방향을 조망하였다. 베트남의 CSR을 이해할 때, 지역성(locality)에 기초하여 북부와 남부를 각기 다른 공통지식과 환경을 공유하는 사회로 분류하여 이해할 경우, 각 지역은 고유의 배경요인에 의거해 CSR 사회인식을 분석할 수 있다. 연구분석 결과, 북부에서는 외국기업의 CSR을 기업 경제수입과 분배의 관점에서 바라보고자 하는 경향이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 남부에서는 마케팅 활동으로 이해 하고자 하는 경향이 강한 것으로 나타났다. 전반적으로 북부 하노이에서는 '고용개선'과 '근로자의 노동환경 개선'과 관련된 항목에서 기대감이 존재하는 것으로 나타났으며, 남부에서는 '거주민의 삶의 질' 개선과 '소비자 보호' 관련 항목에 관심을 보이고 있었다. 이는 두 지역의 상이한 식민화, 근대화, 공산화 과정에서 경험한 경제시스템 영향이 작용하였기 때문이며, 시장경제 도입 이후에도 서로 다른 경제발전의 속도와 경제 환경에 의하여 형성된 지역성이 작용한 것으로 판단된다. 특히 CSR가치에 대한 사회적 수용성은 북부와 남부에서 약간의 인식차이를 보이긴 하였지만, 두지역이 공통적으로 '정부의 역할 개입'을 희망하는 것으로 나타남에 따라, 베트남의 CSR은 공동체주의(Communitarianism)적 관점 안에서 형성된 '정부-사회' 관계를 기반으로 하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이와 더불어, 해외기업의 투자유입이 늘어날수록 현지정부와 이해관계자들의 CSR에 대한 기대와 인식문제는 더욱 복잡해지는 양상이다. 기업고용과 노동문제, 생활환경개선에 대한 문제는 베트남 사회의 최대관심사로 떠올랐다. 우리기업들의 사회책임 활동과 관계하여, 베트남 사회의 지역성(locality)과 니즈(needs)대한 점검이 필요한 때이다.

L2 Learning Motivation in Technology Enhanced Instruction: A Survey from Three Perspectives

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the ways in which CALL apply to enhance the motivational aspects of second language learning. Theories relevant to social, cognitive, and affective foundations of motivation are first reviewed to demonstrate the important role of motivational influences in improving learners' affect and achievements. Then, implications arising from such theories in strengthening the motivational aspects of CALL are explicated in the second part. With the spread of computer technology in language classrooms, the innovative role of CALL in the development and maintenance of intrinsic motivation can be illustrated. Specifically, CALL may provide cognitively supportive instruction geared towards improving students' performance. Also, it has been reported from the affective perspective that CALL can captivate learners' attention, promote their feelings and expectations of success, improve perceptions of control, and increase positive attributions to effort and ability. Finally, from a social learning perspective, CALL may enhance learners' self-efficacy and foster their achievement and positive affect through social interactions, proximal goal-setting, and attributional feedback. In the framework of CALL, students seem to be benefited by the immediacy and authenticity of contact with target languages and cultures made at their choices and decisions.

통합기술수용이론 관점에서 블록체인기술의 사용자 수용과 이용 행동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Acceptance Intention and Usage Behavior of Blockchain Technology : From the Perspective of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology)

  • Recently, following the development of FinTech technology that combines finance and information and communication technology, the need and social demands for a block chain technology-based trading system have increased significantly. In this study, a research model was developed and hypothesized through literature research on the concept of block chain technology, the technology acceptance model, and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology. The research theories were tested by collecting data through surveys and analyzing the collected data. This study conducted empirical research to identify the factors influencing the user acceptance intention and utilization behavior of the block chain technology in introducing the block chain technology. First, factors affecting the acceptance intention of the blockchain user were performance expectation, effort expectation, social impact, and blockchain transparency variables. Second, the facilitation conditions and stakeholder confidence variables were analyzed as factors that did not affect the acceptability of the blockchain users. Third, variables such as blockchain transparency, stakeholder trust and intention of acceptance are factors that affect the usage behavior of the blockchain. Fourth, it was confirmed that the acceptance intention had a very high explanatory power on usage behavior of Blockchain technology.

A Study on Effect of the Elderly Living Alone's Date upon Psychological Loneliness and Happiness

  • Purpose - In this study, dating in the elderlys' life gave satisfaction: for elderly men, dating gave them self esteem, and in women they were satisfied with the realities. This study investigated the effect of dating in the elderly on their happiness. Research design, data, and methodology - These days, the elderly population rapidly increased to produce a social issue and studies of such in welfare policy for the elderly are limited. The elderly has lost roles in the society because aged people give up human reason and love in accordance with the traditional expectations of them. Subjects in this study were related with investigating the elderly's dating life, loneliness and happiness. Results - The date life of the elderly had significant influence upon psychological loneliness. Hypothesis was adopted and results showed the degree of elderly's dating life had a significant influence upon psychological loneliness (.230**) to account for 13.2% of psychological loneliness. Needs of dating elderly had influence upon psychological loneliness. Conclusions - Psychological loneliness was mediated with dating in the elderly for opportunity and happiness. Hypothesis was that the dating had influence upon happiness. As a result, date opportunity, degree, needs and friendliness had no significant influence upon happiness.

협동학습(Cooperative Learning)을 적용한 보건교육 수업에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Comprehensive Approach to Health Education: Cooperative Learning)

  • Recently, the educational community has attempted to implement the theory of multiple intelligences. In approaching multiple intelligences, teachers have applied the same structural approach which has been so successful with cooperative learning. Cooperative learning is easy to learn and implement, fun for teachers and students, and produce profoundly positive outcomes along a remarkable number of dimensions. Different structures are designed for different outcomes, including enhanced mastery of subject matter, improved thinking skills, team building, class building, development of social character and social skills, communication skills, classroom management, classroom discipline, and development of and engagement of each of the multiple intelligences. Cooperative learning is becoming an increasingly popular teaching strategy. In this study, it is aimed to clarify the application of cooperative learning in health education. Cooperative Learning in health education enhances student learning by: 1) providing a shared cognitive set of information between students, 2) motivating students to learn the material, 3) ensuring that students construct their own health knowledge, 4) providing formative feedback, 5) developing social and health group skills necessary for success outside the classroom, and 6) promoting positive interaction between members of different cultural and socio-economic groups. Cooperative Learning structures and techniques in health education are following. Flash Card, Focused Listing, Structured Problem-solving, Paired Annotations, Structured Learning Team Group Roles, Send-A-Problem, Value Line, Uncommon Commonalities, Team Expectations, Double Entry Journal, Guided Reciprocal Peer Questioning, What if. Because the purpose of health education is the practice, therefore health specialists have to guide powerful and effective teaching method The application of cooperative learning in health education may improve its effectiveness.

Exploring Student Engagement on Library Facebook Pages: A Survey of Vietnamese Academic Libraries

  • Facebook is very popular among young people and especially university students. Therefore, Facebook is the most logical platform to be used by academic libraries for promotional purposes and reaching out to user communities. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of using Facebook in connecting with students in academic libraries. A questionnaire survey was conducted to collect research data from students at four Vietnamese universities. A total of 1,670 valid questionnaires were returned, and more than half of the respondents were females between the ages of 18 and 22 years. The survey results found that libraries' Facebook pages did not receive adequate attention and interaction from students. Besides that, the information needs of students and social media content in general affected student acceptance of libraries' Facebook pages. These factors are demonstrated by the great majority of students who used Facebook often for various purposes, but fewer accessed library pages and they were not actively engaged in library posts. Students were interested in the information they already tended to get from libraries and were optimistic about the quality of library posts. However, they still expected more diverse and attractive content from the libraries. The findings of this study can help libraries create a close connection with students by satisfying their needs and expectations on Facebook.

조직내 신뢰: 개념화와 연구동향 (Trust in organizations: Conceptualization and Trends)

  • 다양한 연구자들의 신뢰에 대한 개념화를 고찰해 보고, 조직 내 신뢰에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 거시적 차원에서 미시적 차원에 이르기까지 살펴보았다. 조직내의 신뢰는 조직내 타인의 의도와 행동에 대한 긍정적인 기대를 바탕으로 위험을 기꺼이 감수하겠다는 의지로 개념화 될 수 있다. 조직내 신뢰는 그 조직이 처한 사회문화적 환경에 따라 내용이 달라지며, 보다 수평적이고 유연한 구조로 조직구조가 변화하면서 조직의 성공에 필수불가결한 요소가 되었다. 신뢰의 근거나 통로로서 조직내 연결망의 기능과 리더십 과정에서 신뢰의 역할에 대해서도 논의되었다.

확장된 TPB 모형을 활용한 베이비부머의 재취업 의도 영향 요인에 관한 연구 -개인 특성의 조절 효과를 포함하여 - (A Study on the Influencing Factors of Baby Boomer's Reemployment Intention Using Extended TPB Model -Including the Moderating Effect of Personal Characteristics-)

  • 베이비 부머의 은퇴가 사회적인 이슈가 되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 베이비 부머들이 은퇴이후 재취업하고자하는 의도에 미치는 영향 요인을 분석하고자 했다. 연구를 위해 확장된 계획 행동이론(extended TPB)을 연구 모형으로 설정하였다. 본 연구에 활용된 확장된 계획 행동이론의 독립변수는 태도, 주관적 규범, 지각된 행동 통제 변인에 결과기대와 경제적 준비도를 추가하였다. 종속변수는 재취업 의도로 설정하였다. 이들 간의 조절변수로 개인 특성을 설정하였다. 실증 분석을 위해 베이비 부머 250명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문 결과를 바탕으로 SPSS24 통계 패키지를 활용하여 회귀분석을 통해 가설을 검정하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 태도, 지각된 행동 통제, 결과기대는 베이버 부머의 재취업 의도에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 반면, 경제적 준비도는 부(-)의 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 주관적 규범은 유의한 영향 관계가 검정되지 않았다. 유의한 변인중 경제적 준비도가 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 개인 특성의 조절효과를 분석한 결과 친화력과 성실성 모두 태도와 재취업 의도, 결과기대와 재취업 의도간 조절역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 베이버 부머의 재취업과 관련하여 학술적인 시사점 및 실무적인 시사점을 제시하였다.

Women's Body Exposure in Leisure Wear during the 1930s -Focused on Bathing Suits, Shorts, and Halters-

  • Social reactions to body exposure in American leisure wear (bathing suits, shorts, and halters) in the 1930s were analyzed to provide an understanding of the process of adopting more abbreviated and less-occasion specific styles of garments in women's fashion. The research questions were as follow: How did women expose their bodies in leisure wear during the 1930s? How did the social reaction to women's body exposure in leisure wear change throughout the 1930s? How did the body exposure in women's leisure wear play a significant role in the history of women's fashion? Primary sources were collected from issues of The New York Times published in the 1930s. Topics including dress, fashion, ethics, social ethics, and sexual ethics, were reviewed in The New York Times indices. The findings were analyzed and interpreted with reference to secondary sources that included books and research papers. The results showed that the body exposure of the styles as well as the place where these styles were worn was a public issue. Women were criticized and regulated for body exposure as well as for wearing bathing suits, shorts, and halters on the streets. However, the social regulations that restricted bathing suit styles almost disappeared by the end of the decade. This represented the change of social expectations toward body exposure in the 1930s. In addition, reports of laws that forbade the wearing of bathing suits, halters, and shorts outside of beaches, pools, and parks indicated women's increased attempts to expose their bodies in public places. However, reactions to women's body exposure in leisure wear changed to accept more flexibility in the social customs throughout the decade. These phenomena were a partial step toward the popularization of less occasion-specific styles - sportswear - that took place in the 20th century.
