  • The $18^{th}$ century's Industrial Revolution brought about influx of commerce, industry, and agricultural population into the urban areas, entering the $19^{th}$ century. Quality of rural communities declined, and the exploding population in the cities gave rise to various problems. 'Mietskaserne' Blockhousing was constructed by the 'Hobrechtplan', but led to social problems such as poor living conditions, insufficient sunshine due to overcrowding, slums due to incomplete urban infrastructure, epidemics, and so on. Starting in the early $20^{th}$ century, Berlin has driven forward a remodeling plan under the motto of 'critical reconstruction (kritische Rekonstruktion)'. It is performed in the place, which represents the vicissitudinous history of Berlin with site plans coexisting past with presence, using modern vocabulary of architectural forms. Reconstructing a city is a process which not only raises the economic value of each building consisting a city, but also a redevelopment process that brings out cultural value of an era. When a new era emerges buildings get reconstructed or rebuilt, and thereby form the identity of a city by reflecting its society, culture, politics, economy, and history. Old German architecture were not destroyed or rebuilt recklessly just by the fact that they are functionally or aesthetically outdated. Each building is treated as precious cultural heritage reflecting the history. This is how Berlin is being transformed today.

  • Purpose: The performance rate to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by witness in out-of-hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) is very low in South Korea. To prevent the death caused by OHCA, it is important to encourage the witness to perform CPR actively. The purpose of the study is to investigate the influencing factors to affect bystander CPR rate. Methods: I conducted a questionnaire survey from 25 February to 4 March, 2013, receiving responses from 517 people in Korea. The questionnaire included social demographic factors, history of heart disease, knowledge of CPR, and the reliability of emergency medical service (EMS). A logistic regression analysis was conducted. Results: Among the 517 respondents, 294 (57.4%) had intention of performing CPR. Multiple logistic regression analysis found the following significant predictors of CPR intention: gender (odds ratio [OR] = 0.390), age (OR = 1.024), religion (OR = 0.843), and knowledge of CPR (OR = 4.734). Conclusion: This study indicated that the strongest predictor is knowledge of CPR. Therefore, it would be helpful to teach CPR nationwide to encourage performing CPR. In addition, effect of CPR education in religious facilities is necessary.

  • The International Standby Practices (ISP98) has been carefully crafted for use with standby letters of credit. ISP98 is expected to become widely used for standby letters of credit commencing January 1, 1999. These new practices have been ratified and jointly published by the International Chamber of Commerce- the same organization that Provided us with the Uniform Customs and Practices for Documentary Credits, UCP500. The intention behind drafting ISP98 was to consolidate common and accepted practices applying to Standby Letters of Credit and to set a worldwide standard. ISP98 gives issuing organizations a set of practices that are free from the anomalies that arise when UCP500 is applied to Standby Letters of Credit This paper focuses on ISP98 provisions that may lead to changes in forms of standby letters of credit and reimbursement agreements, that may lead to changes in standby practices, that may alert parties to issues they had not previously focused upon, or that parties may wish to limit or vary, This Paper also focuses on differences between ISP98 and the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits, 1993 revision, ICC Publication No. 500(UCP 500).

  • Online games have become the focus of entertainment and multimedia industries as the developments in computer technologies are accelerated and the use of the Internet diffuses broadly. In spite of such growth of online games, academic discussions regarding online games are relatively limited. This research examines several factors that affect player loyalty to online games. In this research, the loyalty is classified into two categories, the behavioral loyalty measured by the intensity, volume, and frequency of use, and the cognitive loyalty measured by the degree of immersion in online games. In this research, an integrated model to explain and predict player loyalty to online games in proposed. Two studies are conducted to test to research model. Throughout analyzing 334 respondents, the first study finds that the impulsive personality of individual players significantly affects both behavioral loyalty and cognitive loyalty. Additionally, it finds that, whereas the behavioral loyalty is influenced by the convenience of online game playing, the cognitive loyalty is influenced by the motive of game playing and the playfulness of games. The second study finds that the behavioral loyalty differs across demographic differences of players (age and occupation), preferred online games of players, and online game playing locations, but the cognitive loyalty differs across only age differences of players. This research has opened a forum for social awareness about the online game culture, provided information to guide online game producers to prepare customer-oriented online games, and created a foundation for academic research on online game industry.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the differential effect of workforce diversity on employee productivity and its subsequent impact on customer experience. Research design, data and methodology: A once-off cross-sectional research design was used in this study where the Zimbabwean civil service was targeted. Randomization was used to collect 324 validated responses. The study focused on both primary (age and gender) and secondary (education and political affiliation) dimensions of workforce diversity. Results: The results were confirmatory that workforce diversity is a significant predictor of employee productivity (β = 0.668, P < 0.05), at the same time employee productivity holds explanation to customer experience by 37%. Results also revealed that gender diversity, educational diversity and political diversity were significant determinants of workforce diversity (P < 0.05). However, the study established that age diversity was not a significant factor in enhancing employee productivity (P > 0.05). Conclusions: The study concluded that workforce diversity is a powerful tool in enhancing both customer experience and employee productivity. As such, the latter can be augmented through shrewd workforce diversity practices as championed by management. To that end, the study recommends the development of a workforce diversity framework which promotes inclusivity.

  • The term "GMP" firstly came on the 1962 amendment of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic (FD&C) Act and the US FDA established and officially announced the Good Manufacturing Practice Regulation for the first time in the world in 1963. In 1969, the World Health Organization published the GMP regulation and recommended that member states adopt the GMP regulation and implement the "GMP Certification Scheme" for international commerce of finished pharmaceutical products. As a result, GMP requirements have become important ones that have to be complied with in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products. The Korean GMP regulation was announced as the official notification by the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs in 1977. The KGMP regulation was voluntarily adopted by pharmaceutical companies at the early stage, but it had become mandatory. In addition, various kinds of GMP regulations have been established to cover active pharmaceutical ingredients, biological products and others, in addition to finished pharmaceutical products. Taking account of technological development and changes in the pharmaceutical environments, the KGMP regulation was fully amended and harmonized with GMP requirements of developed countries. In this way, the KGMP has developed to keep up with international trends and standards, leading to accession to the Pharmaceutical Inspection Cooperation Scheme (PIC/S).

  • With the rapid development of e-commerce, many customers can now express their opinion on various kinds of product at discussion groups, merchant sites, social networks, etc. Discerning a consensus opinion about a product sold online is difficult due to more and more reviews become available on the internet. Opinion Mining, also known as Sentiment analysis, is the task of automatically detecting and understanding the sentimental expressions about a product from customer textual reviews. Recently, researchers have proposed various approaches for evaluation in sentiment mining by applying several techniques for document, sentence and aspect level. Aspect-based sentiment analysis is getting widely interesting of researchers; however, more complex algorithms are needed to address this issue precisely with larger corpora. This paper introduces an approach of knowledge representation for the task of analyzing product aspect rating. We focus on how to form the nature of sentiment representation from textual opinion by utilizing the representation learning methods which include word embedding and compositional vector models. Our experiment is performed on a dataset of reviews from electronic domain and the obtained result show that the proposed system achieved outstanding methods in previous studies.

  • Our D2D (Device-to-Device) advertisement dissemination algorithm based on the convergence of a D2D communication and a social commerce service is able to efficiently deliver advertisement messages of small business owners. We here assume high user-density areas as target-areas, and these target areas can form several target-groups based on geographical proximity. Also, the isolated target-areas which are not included in the target-groups may have the opportunities for forming a new target-group in consideration of the maximum distance with AP. In this paper, we evaluate performances with respect to the total number of successfully received users and the average number of relay users in accordance with variation in the maximum distance for isolated target-areas.
