CSV(공유가치창출)의 진정성이 정당성 지각을 통해 종업원 직무만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Study on the Effect of CSV(Creating Shared Value) Authenticity on Employee's Job Satisfaction Mediated by the Perception of Legitimacy)

  • 본 연구는 CSV의 진정성이 사회공헌활동에 의해서 종업원의 직무만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 주는지와, 그 동안 CSV에 대한 연구에서 등한시 되던 조직 동일시를 조절변수로 하여 그 영향이 직무만족도에 긍정적으로 미치는가를 확인하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 이를 위하여 대기업에 재직 중인 회사원과 일부 중견기업 및 중소기업의 직원들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 연구를 위해서 도출된 사회공헌활동은 공익활동과 기업이익활동으로 분류하고, 그 기저에 내포되어 있는 사회공헌활동에 대한 종업원의 정당성 인지를 도덕적 정당성 지각과 실용적 정당성 지각으로 나누어서 4가지의 변인이 제시되었으며, 제시된 변인이 종업원 직무만족도에 긍정적 영향을 주는지와, 조절변구인 조직 동일시는 조절효과가 있는지를 검증해 보았다. 그 결과는 첫째, CSV의 진정성은 공익활동에 긍정적 영향을 주어서 종업원의 도덕적 정당성 지각에 정(+)의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으나, 종업원의 직무만족도에는 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났으며, 이로 인하여 도덕적 정당성 지각과 직무만족도 사이의 조절효과를 검증할 수 없었다. 둘째, CSV의 진정성은 기업이익 활동에 긍정적 영향을 주어서 종업원의 실용적 정당성 지각에 정(+)의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 이로 인하여 종업원의 직무만족에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 조절변수인 조직 동일시는 실용적정당성 지각과 직무만족도 사이에서 조절효과가 있는 것으로 검증되었다. 본 연구결과를 통해 공익활동에 의한 종업원 직무만족도 제고를 위해서는, 공익활동은 기업이 추구하는 전략적 목표라는 인식을 직원들에게 각인시켜줄 수 있는 기업문화의 정착이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있다.

부모의 권위에 대한 아동의 지각 연구 (Children's Perception of Parental Authority)

  • This research examined children's perception of parental authority within three different types of rules : moral, social-conventional, and personal issue. Specifically, two major aspects of parental authority-legitimacy and obedience-were explored. The subjects of this study were 120 children from an elementary school in Kwangju. There were 40 subjects (20 males and 20 females) in each of three age groups: 7-, 9-, and 11- year-olds. The subjects were administered an interview individually. Based on Tisak (1986) open-ended questions concerning three family rules (moral rule, social-conventional rule, personal issue) were administered. Responses to the assessment questions were coded as positive or negative. Responses to the judgment conception questions were coded into 7 categories : Other's Walfare, Social Coordination, Personal choice, Deservedness of Punishment for Wrongdoing, Existence of Authority, Conflicting Personal Interest and Authority, and Personal Development. Statistical analysis of obtained data was by percentage and ${\chi}_2$ test using log linear procedure. The results were as follows : (1) There was a significant main effect of type of rule on the children's assessment regarding legitimacy and obedience of parental authority. The children (average 96%) stated that it was all right for parents to make rules prohiliting an act when it pertained to moral and social conventions. However, the majority of the children (average 40%) stated that it was not right for parents to regulate personal issues. (2) There was a significant interaction effect between type of rule and age. (3) There was a significant main effect of rules on the children's judgment conception of parental authority. (4) There was a significant interaction effect between rules and ages on children's judgment conception of parental authority.

4P모델 분석을 통한 경찰과 언론의 바람직한 관계 정립 방안 (Ideal Relationship between Police and Press through the Analysis of 4P Model)

  • 이 연구는 4P(Police-Press-Politics-Public) 모델의 분석을 통해 언론과 경찰의 바람직한 관계 정립을 위한 정책적 제언을 목적으로 한다. Jean-Louis Loubet Del Bayle은 4가지 주체인 경찰, 언론, 대중, 정치의 관계에 관하여 정보의 교류와 흐름, 권력관계, 정당성 관계라는 3가지 측면에서 이들 간의 관계 모델을 제시하고 있다. 모델 분석을 통해 알 수 있는 것은 언론과 경찰은 국민과 정치라는 외부 주체와의 관계에서 정당성(Legitimacy)을 부여받고 그 정당성을 바탕으로 정보를 입수하고 상대방에 대한 통제 권한을 행사한다는 것이다. 이렇듯 각자의 사회적 기능과 외부환경과의 관계는 경찰과 언론의 관계를 민감하고 복잡하게 만드는 근본 이유가 된다. 4P모델의 분석을 통해 알 수 있는 것은 언론과 경찰의 균형적 관계 정립은 두 주체의 사회적 기능을 보장하고 정당성 확보의 공통 경로인 국민들의 이익으로 귀결된다는 것이다. 또한, 경찰은 언론과의 균형적 관계 형성을 통해 사회변화의 적응성을 높여 경찰행정발전의 영속성을 확보할 수 있다는 것이다. 그리고 경찰과 언론의 균형적 관계를 위해서는 두 주체에게 공통적으로 적용되는 실질적인 '보도 가이드라인'이 마련되어야 하고, 경찰로서는 언론에 대한 사회적 기능의 이해와 관계 개선을 위해 전문적인 인력으로 구성된 언론 담당 부서를 설치해야 한다.

Political Connections and CSR Disclosures in Indonesia

  • This research seeks to provide evidence about how political connections, proxied by government ownership and the existence of politically connected board members, affect the extent of corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosures in Indonesian listed companies. This research uses the legitimacy theory as a basis for explaining management's motivation for disclosing its CSR. The sample consists of 131 firm-year observations from 38 non-financial public companies that published sustainability reports from 2013 to 2017. We measured the CSR disclosures using a disclosure checklist on the sustainability reports. We subsequently processed the data using a random effect (RE) linear regression. The result shows that CSR disclosures were greater in government-owned companies but lower in companies that have politically connected board members. The results support the legitimacy theory that the government intends to demonstrate legitimate national economic and political conditions by showing that government-owned companies are sustainable. However, CSR disclosures seem to have a substitutive relationship with the existence of politically connected board members, since those political connections may protect the company from public pressure and/or the risk of litigation, reducing the need for CSR disclosures. This research provides evidence that different types of political connections may have different impacts on corporate disclosures.

한국 아동의 성인 및 또래 권위에 대한 개념 연구 (Korean Children's Concepts of Adult and Peer Authority)

  • The primary purpose of this research was to examine Korean childrens concepts of authority. Childrens judgments about commands of persons with varying age, social position, and knowledge were assessed. 48 subjects from the first, third, and fifth grades were presented with portrayals of persons giving children commands regarding two types of events: fighting and a game rule dispute. Subjects evaluated the legitimacy of commands and chose between different persons giving opposing commands. With regard to a command to stop fighting, subjects accepted the legitimacy of adult and peer authorities, as well as an adult without a position of authority. Subjects rejected commands that failed to prevent harm even when given by an adult authority. With regard to a game rule dispute, subjects most heavily weighted knowledge in evaluating the authority commands. The findings show that Korean children do not have a unitary orientation to adult authority, and have implications for an understanding of individuals' conceptions in the context of a cultural ideology emphasizing reverence for authority.

지속 가능한 사회적 기업을 위한 전략적 방향 제시: 홀론 다이내믹스의 적용 (Making Strategic Choice for Sustainable Social Enterprise: The Application of Holon Dynamics Approach)

  • This paper aims to propose the strategy making in social enterprise for ensuring organizational sustainability and governance of social enterprise from systems thinking's perspective. Based on previous reviews on organizational sustainability and theories of governance currently advocated in the social enterprise literature, we use 'Holon Dynamics' approach, which is a synthesis of System Dynamics and Soft Systems Methodology (SSM), offers the problem-solving method for dealing with social contexts and "ill-defined" situations. To do so, a researcher carried out the interpretive action research using 'Holon Dynamics' approach from September, 2009 to August, 2010. The outcomes of research are summarized as follows. Firstly, systems methodologies are useful to offer a strategic choice that makes to achieve an organizational sustainability in the case of Korean social enterprise; 'the Rediscovery of Korea'. Secondly, systems thinking offers an alternative concept of system, which is known as an 'appreciative system' that is evolved from the mental constructs amongst participants in given situations. Lastly, the paper delineates the usefulness of systems thinking and the process of inquiry, which deal with social contexts (including cultural and political factors), are contributed to making the necessary conditions for organizational legitimacy and the appropriate strategic choice for social enterprise within combined functioning of the two roles of social and commercial activities from systemic perspectives.

사회복지 전담 공무원 제도 과연 필요한 것인가? (Is It Necessary for Government to Recruit Professional Social Welfare Workers?)

  • This paper is to provide the legitimacy of the recruit system of professional social welfare workers in public sector with government by analyzing the evaluation results of the supervisors. In order to evaluate the public welfare workers recruit system, 500 supervisors are selected randomly from the universe of 2,880 supervisors working in the public welfare field. They are not a professional social worker, but an administrative supervisor in hierarchical structure. Among them 302 supervisors give their views on the recruit system, social welfare workers' job achievement, job attitude, ability, and professional values. They assess the workers' job achievement very positively, which are affected by job attitude, ability, and professional values. They agree that it is very valuable to exist the recruit system of professional social welfare workers in public sector, because it has contributed to increasing the workers' job achievement level in the public welfare field. This study concludes that it is successful to adopt the recruit system of social welfare workers in public sector, and suggests that the system be developed further in public welfare field. Besides, this paper insists that professional public welfare workers recognize that they are one of the members of the organization and they work together with administrative staffs.

  • 오늘날 급변하는 환경 속에서 기업이 계속 살아남고 성장해 나가기 위해서는 경제적 측면에서의 효율성이나 경쟁력을 강화해 나가야 함과 동시에 보다 거시적이고 장기적인 시각에서 사회로부터 정상적인 기업 활동을 인정받는 사회적 정당성(social legitimacy)을 획득하기 위해 노력해야 한다. 그렇지 않으면 해당 기업에 대해서는 물론 국가 전체적으로 반(反)기업정서가 만연하게 된다. 바로 이러한 시각에서 볼 때 여기서 우리가 다루고자 하는 기업의 사회적 책임과 기업윤리 문제는 기업의 지속가능경영을 위한 거시경영분야의 연구에서도 가장 주목을 받는 부분이다.

Corporate Social Responsibility Regulation in the Indonesian Mining Companies

  • The condition of mining companies that exploit natural resources in their business processes underline this research to emphasize on social and environmental issues. After twelve years of government regulation on CSR practices, this study investigates the factors that influence mining companies in disclosing information about corporate social responsibility based on legitimacy, stakeholders, and agency theory. Thus, independent variables are foreign ownership, company size, leverage, and the board of commissioners. The dependent variable is the corporate social reporting disclosure that is measured using GRI indexing. For sampling, we have used thirty-four Indonesian mining companies listed in IDX during the 2014-2018. out of which only fifty-two companies meet the sample criteria. All data should pass the classical assumption test to get the best estimator. Multiple linear regression is used to test the hypothesis, and the results show that the model is good, and can explain 60% of the dependent variable. Based on F-test, all four variables affect CSR practices simultaneously. The findings of this study suggest that foreign ownership and firm size influences CSR disclosure in a positive direction. However, this study did not support the hypothesis that leverage negatively affects CSR disclosure and board size measures positively affect CSR disclosure.

A Study of Research Publication Ethics for Social Science Researcher

  • Purpose: This research article aim is to critically examine the ethical principles that govern research publication in social sciences and to identify and analyze the everyday ethical challenges social science researchers face during the publication process. Also, the research explores the factors contributing to ethical violations in social science research publication. Research design, data, and methodology: The present research has conducted comprehensive literature analysis and the authors of this research has figured out total 24 significant prior studies in the current literature dataset for the literature review and finding section. The procedure of data obtaining included the elimination process to screen dissertation papers, conference papers, and internet sources. Results: Previous The sociologies, given their emphasis on the human way of behaving and interactions, demand heightened ethical considerations due to the potential impact of research findings on individuals and society. Therefore, understanding and upholding ethical standards are essential for researchers at all career stages. Conclusions: In order to retain the integrity, legitimacy, and societal influence of research findings, ethical issues are crucial and the necessity for flexible and comprehensive ethical frameworks is highlighted by the rapid evolution of research methodology, digital platforms, and interdisciplinary collaborations, adding new dimensions of ethical complexity.
