This study examines artists' acts of resistance in the turbulent social climate of the 1960s and beyond, and considers the meaning of these documents in a contemporary context. It focuses on the Art Workers' Coalition, organised in 1969 by artists, writers, filmmakers and critics. Art Workers' Coalition demanded basic rights for artists in the art world and challenged war, discrimination, and injustice in society at large. Not only did they actively intervene in the structural problems of society through collective actions, protests, and statements, as seen in other acts of resistance, but they also expanded their reach through the medium of art. Studies of the Art Workers' Coalition, which can be considered as activist art of the late 1960s, have mainly chronicled their actions in the context of art history, without paying particular attention to the nature and value of the documentation produced in the process of resistance. However, the archives of Art Workers' Coalition have an informational and evidential value, which is a key value of archives, as they provide information not only about the activities of the organisation, but also about the activities of the individuals who comprised the unions, their intricate connections, and the social climate. In addition to the basic function of proving the activities of a group of artists, the archives of Art Workers' Coalition are also significant as a medium for providing information on people and events that have been marginalised in mainstream studies of artworks and artists, and for incorporating them into historical memory. Therefore, this study aims to identify the current status of Art Workers' Coalition-related archives as a medium to prove the activities of artists of the time, and to propose a different way of reading history through the contextual information of archives.
The goal of this study was to analyze the degree of kindergarten teacher's understanding with respect to educational activities of social relationships area & art experience area in the Nuri-curriculum and to provide complementary materials and educational programs for enhancing kindergarten teacher's professional development. The tool for this study was a number of questionnaires on teacher's understanding in two area. The number of survey participants were 650 teachers and 78 preliminary teachers, 728 in total. Statistical analysis to this research responses was done by SPSS 23 at the significance level of .05, .01, .001 each. Research findings reached a conclusion of proposing differentiated complementary materials and educational programs based on the types of kindergarten, qualification of teachers and their demographics. That is, it should be adjusted to the differences in establishment-operation types of kindergarten, location/size/ages of class, careers/ages/license of teachers, and current-preliminary teacher's understanding. The educational activities of social relationships area should be focused on an attitude of valuing oneself and family by browsing and practicing what one can do for oneself and family. The educational activities of art experience area should be focused on integrated experience of artistic expression and appreciation activities by exploring musical, movement and artistic elements.

Purpose : To evaluate the effect of comprehensive art therapy on physical function and activities of daily living in children with cerebral palsy (CP). Methods : Ten ambulant children with diplegic (n=8) or hemiplegic (n=2) CP participated in this study. All were randomly assigned to either the art therapy group (n=5) or the control group (n=5). Both groups received physical therapy based on neurodevelopmental techniques for 20 minutes a day, 1 day a week, for a period of 12 weeks. Children in the art therapy group received additional comprehensive art therapy for 70 minutes once a week for 3 months. Tests for various measurements-Motricity Index (MI) for strength, Trunk Control Test (TCT) for trunk ability, Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM) and Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) for gross motor function, Denver Developmental Screening Test-II (DDST-II) for developmental milestones, Functional Independence Measure of Children (WeeFIM) for abilities to complete daily activities, Leg and Hand Ability Test (LHAT) for limb function-were performed before and after treatments. Results : The upper extremity and whole extremity strengths of MI, self-care and total scores of WeeFIM, and leg and arm functions of LHAT improved significantly only for individuals in the art therapy group after the art therapy (p<.05). The value of MI after treatment was at the upper extremity and whole extremity strengths the leg function of LHAT was also significantly improved compared to the control group (p<.05). Conclusion : This study revealed that comprehensive art therapy along with physiotherapy was effective in increasing upper extremity strength and leg ability in children with CP. This suggests that comprehensive art therapy may be a useful adjunctive therapy for children with CP.

The purpose of this study is to examine the perception of early childhood teachers on ecological art activities oriented to education for sustainable development. The research results are as follows. First, Early childhood teachers recognized the visual art of natural media, the pursuit of community values, and the participation and communication of social members as educational significance of ecological art activities. And difficulties in practicing ecological art were recognized as lack of educational environment, lack of ecological art teaching materials and specific examples, and teachers' lack of understanding of ecological art. Also, they recognized that ecological art activities foster core competencies in art experience area, such as nature-friendly communication skills, eco-friendly sensibility, and creative convergence skills. Second, regarding ecological art activities and sustainable development education, early childhood teachers considered the difficulties in practice as lack of awareness about sustainable development, lack of play meia and materials, lack of educational policies and support, and insufficient teacher training programs. Also, regarding the SDGs that can be practiced in ecological art activities, teachers were found to be highly aware of 'grow affordable and clean energy', 'improve clean water and sanitation', 'provide quality education' in the order. In the contents of education for sustainable development that can be practiced in ecological art activities, teachers are given the order of 'climate change response', 'clean energy', 'water and sanitation', 'quality education', 'health and well-being' and 'marine ecosystem'. was highly recognized. If an ecological art activity program is developed, the rate of responding that it will be used is high, so it is considered that the development of an ESD-oriented ecological art activity program is urgent.
Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to explore the CSR activities of small enterprises in hospitality and tourism industry in South Korea. Since previous research on CSR activities has considerably focused on large enterprises whereas small enterprises have relatively less attention, this study aims to explore the characteristics of small enterprises in hospitality and tourism industry and their CSR activities. Research design, data, and methodology - The population of interest for this study was social enterprises registered in Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency (2016), and it was used to verify the social enterprises which has a certification for social enterprises. From 1672 companies in total, the sampling frame was a database with 117 companies in hospitality and tourism industry. This study investigates social enterprises' CSR activities on the company's official websites (e.g., company reports, magazines, the news articles, and interviews). The websites of the selected enterprises in hospitality and tourism industry were analyzed for examining CSR activities by the quantitative content analysis. All of the CSR activities in small social enterprises were classified into six dimensions based on the stakeholder theory. Results - The findings of this study provide the characteristics of the 117 small social enterprises and their specific CSR initiatives. A total of eight main business lines were identified: 1) fair travel, 2) leisure/sports, 3) accommodation/camping, 4) medical tourism, 5) exhibitions/art events/cultural events, 6) leisure activities for vulnerable social groups, 7) Korean traditional culture, and 8) ecotourism/agricultural tourism. The CSR initiatives were classified into six dimensions: 1) environment, 2) employment, 3) multicultural families and vulnerable social groups, 4) local community, 5) economic prosperity, and 6) product. Conclusions - This study revealed the special CSR initiative examples of small enterprises in hospitality and tourism industry. Small social enterprises participate in CSR activities mainly related to their own business lines. Moreover, these enterprises are more closely embedded in their local community development, job creation and education for local residents and vulnerable social groups, and traditional heritage preservation. The findings of this study provide theoretical and practical implications and they can contribute to enrich CSR with literature for small enterprises in hospitality and tourism industry.
The purposes of this study were to explore the influence on fashion brand image and brand loyalty according to fit of the fashion brand with cultural art field, motivation in culture marketing of the apparel company, and involvement of the consumers in art activities. The subjects ware 274 male and female in 20s and 30s living in Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The study was obtained through the use of an experimental design which was $2{\times}[2{\times}2]$ mixed factorial design. The summary main results were as follows. First, as far as the effect of the three variables on the social contribution image of the fashion brand, the results of the 3-way interaction are positive. Second, as far as the effect of the three variables on the product image of the fashion brand, the data suggests that only the main-effect of motivation in culture marketing of the apparel company is meaningfully positive. Third, as far as the effect of the three variables on fashion brand loyalty, both fit of the fashion brand with cultural art field and involvement of the consumers in art activities variables show positive results.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the cases of social contribution activities of cosmetics companies and to suggest directions for related activities to be continued more effectively in the future. The case was analyzed through the report, public information, and interview with the person in charge. The main results derived from previous studies and case studies. First, social contribution activities of cosmetics companies are performed in a variety of ways such as education, business, medical care, health, environmental protection, culture, art, donation etc. Second, corporate social contribution activities and diversity were found to be highly correlated with firm size. Third, the effectiveness of social contribution activities can be enhanced through collaboration with social enterprises and professional organizations. Forth, strategic approach to social contribution activities, systematic public relations, and CEO's sense of responsibility have a major influence on related activities. Based on the results of this study, it has been suggested that CSR activities of cosmetics companies can be made more effective.
This study aims to reveal the educational effect and healing action of senior dance by approaching the experiential awareness of the social workers in phenomenological ways. The social workers who participated in the study are 7 social workers at Institute of Social Welfare of the Elderly Welfare in 2014 selected from ARTE Culture and Arts Culture and Arts Education Support Project as beneficiary organizations in the field of dance education. The materials and data of this study have been collected through 1 to 1 in-dept interviews with them. As a result, social welfare workers were recognizing senior dance education as emotional, recognizable, mental, social art activities rather than simple physical activities. And the senior citizens stimulate individual positive emotions and cognitive and have given feedback on and on. So, snowball effect that satisfactory feel of our lives get increased occurs. Finally, senior dance education provided at welfare institutions can be considered healing art activity to improve quality of life gradually through continuous interaction among individuals and communities.
This study analyzed social effects of participating in living culture activities for Daejeon citizens. The social effects were set to creativity and self-esteem at the individual factor and community involvement and exchange at the social factor, this effects were tested by the method of participation in living culture activities. We used SPSS 22 to analyze this effects, factor analysis, analysis of variance, and logistic regression analysis were used. The results showed that participation in lecture programs increased the effects of community involvement and exchange at the social factor. Participation in the club activities showed a decrease in creativity, and further analysis of the club activities was necessary. Participation in cultural art events increases self-esteem. Participation in performances and exhibitions of cultural art events increased creativity. Through these analysis results, first, development of living cultural programs to improve the characteristics of local residents and community of village culture. Second, revitalization through support of various community club activity programs. Third, support for the formation of village cultural community through exchange and cooperation between local Culture and Art Activists and local residents. Fourth, development and expansion of living-oriented and generation-integrated living cultural programs for young and old generations.
The two fields, economics of art and literature, tend to be put together as part of cultural economic studies; yet the former has been widely popular as compared to the latter. Economics of art has been known as part of social science which studies art economically. Similarly, economics of literature is likely to be an interdisciplinary study of literature and economics. Literature is suggested usually to reflect the economic base of a society as a form of its superstructure in view of classical Marxism; so, it is interesting to see social, economic activities, such as individual values and social institutions, income, price and opportunity cost, in a particular way of analyzing economic ideas in literature. Capital seems to have an innate property of self-expansion in literature; this property thus features actual economic life since in capitalism money is the universal value between persons and literary works. Specifically, the field of economics of literature starts with such ideas: economics of literature is part of cultural economics; and economics of literature deals with the economic value of literature. Putting interdisciplinary fields of literature and economics together, this study is to examine the economic value of literature in which Karl Marx talked about commodities with exchange value, use value, and fetishism. The exchange value is commercial worth, the actual exchange value of a publication; yet, the use value is innate worth, the aesthetic use value of literature. With commodity fetishism, profit seems not as the outcome of a social relation, but of a work- "reification" as the would-be Marxists suggest. As a commodity, the literary work appears to be able to animate life and power in reality. As a result, this paper asserts that social, economical activities in literature as we may apply to the study of economics of literature increase its economic value, implying commercial and innate worth, as the capital in the marketplace.
