Purpose: Continuous use of a smartphone increases the angle of forward bending of the user's cervical vertebrae, causing pain in the shoulders and back, including the thorax, lumbar region, and vertebrae. Although there are many studies on changes in the cervical spine due to smartphone usage, the changes in the shoulders, thoracolumbar spine, and pelvic have rarely been compared. The purpose of this study is to investigate the change in the spinal segments, shoulders, and pelvic when using a smartphone with both hands while in the standing position. Methods: This study was conducted on 35 adults in their twenties. The selection criteria for the subjects were limited to those in a similar age group, thus excluding posture differences according to age, and to those who did not have specific diseases or pain in the spinal and musculoskeletal system for 12 months prior to the study. In this study, we used a 3D spinal diagnostic imaging system (Back Mapper, Frickenhausen) to compare the changing conditions in each vertebral segment before and during smartphone usage with both hands while in the standing position. Posture differences according to smartphone usage were compared using the paired t-test for the motion of each spinal segment. Results: This study showed that the thoracic and lumbar angle increased posteriorly during smartphone usage (p<0.05). In addition, the anterior rotation angle of the shoulder bone significantly increased, but no significant difference occurred in the pelvic region. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, smartphone usage with both hands while in the standing position showed that the spine, as a whole, forms a kyphotic curve. Therefore, we propose to present a postural guideline for correct smartphone usage, considering the change in each vertebral segment.

It seemed. self-efficacy was determined by 'age' (F=2.74, p=.045), 'subjective academic level' (F=7.71, p=.001), and 'average smartphone usage time' (F=3.96, p=.009) showed a significant difference. Communication skills showed a significant difference in 'average smartphone usage time' (F=3.83, p=.011). The correlation between the variables of the study subjects showed that self-efficacy was negatively correlated with smartphone addiction (r=-.42, p<.001), and communication ability was positively correlated with self-efficacy. It was found that (r=.55, p<.001). 15) Conclusion : On the basis of the study results, the higher the nursing students' smartphone addiction, the lower their self-efficacy, and the higher their communication ability, the higher their self-efficacy. Therefore, intervention research is necessary to develop interventions for preventing smartphone addiction and increasing communication ability among nursing students.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects on smartphone overdependence of out-of-school youths. Methods: This was a cross sectional study design using the out of school youth Panel Survey(2017). We conducted an empirical study consisting of 318 participants with using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients, hierarchical multiple regression analysis to identify factors influencing smartphone overdependence. Results: Smartphone overdependence correlated positively with depression and carrier barriers such as lack of career informations, career development anxiety and financial difficulties. The main factors of smartphone overdependence in adolescents out of school were depression (β = .22, p = .002), gender (β = .21, p <.001), future anxiety (β = .15, p = .0.0), subjective health status (β = .13, p = .028), smoking (β = .13, p = .032). Conclusion: Smartphone overdependence management programs for out-of-school youths should be included emotional and informational support to alleviate anxiety, fear of failing in one's career, as well as mental and psychological interventions to reduce level of depression.

The ability of smartphones to facilitate various services like mobile banking, e-commerce and mobile payments has made them part of consumers' lives. Conjoint analysis (CA) is a marketing research approach used to assess how consumers' preferences for products or services develop. The potential applications of CA are numerous in consumer electronics, banking and insurance services, job selection and workplace loyalty, consumer packaged goods, and travel and tourism. Choice-Based Conjoint (CBC) analysis is the most commonly used CA approach in marketing research. The purpose of this study is to utilise CBC analysis to investigate the relative importance of smartphone attributes that influence consumer smartphone preference. An experiment was designed using Sawtooth CBC Software. 326 students attempted the online survey. Utility values were derived by Hierarchical Bayes (HB) estimation and used to explain consumers' smartphone preferences. All the six attributes used for the study were found to significantly influence smartphone preference. Smartphone brand was the most important, followed by the price, camera, RAM, battery life, and storage. This study is one of the first to use Sawtooth CBC analysis to assess consumer smartphone preference based on the six attributes. We provide implications for the development of new smartphones based on attributes.
Background: At present time, smartphones have become very popular and powerful devices, and smartphone applications with the good validity have been designed to assess human balance ability. Objects: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of smartphone acceleration in the assessment of postural control ability for six different conditions. Methods: Twenty healthy college-aged individuals volunteered. Static balance ability was measured twice with one-day interval using smartphone application and 3D motion capture system under the six different conditions. Results: Dominant frequencies for each test condition did not show significant differences except for two conditions. The intra-rater correlation coefficient between the first and second tests showed high correlations in six conditions(r>.70, p<.05). Smartphone acceleration and the acceleration calculated from the 3D marker position data showed high correlation coefficient(r>.80, p<.001). Conclusion: Acceleration recorded from a smartphone could be useful assessment variables for balance test in the clinical field.
Disadvantaged from disaster response training and disaster safety education who people are vulnerable to disasters when faced with disasters. The vulnerability of these disaster response will be linked to the desire for disaster information. Therefore, using smartphone to provide timely disaster information will be an effective disaster response service that enables disaster vulnerable people to avoid disaster efficiently. In this paper, we propose a control system for synchronizing attitude between an Android smartphone and a mobile robot. The control system is comprised of a smartphone and a mobile robot. The smartphone transports its attitude to the mobile robot and receives the attitude of mobile robot through bluetooth communication. Further, the smartphone displays the mobile robot on the screen by using embedded camera, which can be used as a pseudo augmented reality. Comparing the received attitude data from smartphone, the mobile robot measures its attitude by an AHRS(attitude heading reference system) and controls its attitude. Experiments show that the synchronization performance of the proposed system is maintained in the error range of $1^{\circ}$.
