Implementation of Ubiquitous-Based Construction Site Management System (유비쿼터스 기반 건설현장 관리시스템의 구현)

  • A ubiquitous-based construction site management system coupled with construction processing status of a 3-D spatial information and sensor network for construction site management is implemented. The service of such management system is able to save efforts and times to check the processing status of construction sites and more the related construction staff in charge can receive the real time information of construction field or the related information can be transmitted to the office where the construction staffs in charge are. Especially we can provide on a mobile smart phone of real time processing status at construction field and environmental information of such temperature, humidity, information of GPS, etc. which are able to affect the construction status. In addition, construction processing and design modification etc. as well as necessary informations are able to be helped and provided at any time and to any place.

  • Globally, frequency and scale of natural disasters are growing, also the damage is increasing. In view of the damage by natural disasters for several years, it is true that Korea is not free from such damages. In this paper, we propose a process to efficiently manage recovery resources in case of disaster damage. We utilize the IoT technology to detect the resource status in real time, and configure the process so that the state and movement of the recovery resource can be grasped in real time through the resource activity recognition module. In addition, we designed the database that is necessary to actualize it, and developed and experimented resource activity recognition module using smart-phone sensors. This will contribute to building a quick and efficient disaster response system.

An Investigation of Factors Affecting Consumer Intention to Use Branded App : Focused on Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) (브랜드앱(Branded App)의 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 : 기술수용 모델(TAM)을 중심으로)

  • As the smart phone devices gain popularity, companies no longer consider mobile application marketing as an auxiliary marketing tactic. The branded mobile application (branded app) becomes an important part of marketing strategies. This study is an attempt to investigate antecedents of the use intention of the branded app from the perspective of TAM (Technology Acceptance Model). This study takes a macro perspective in explaining the adoption process by incorporating a set of new, yet promising additional variables into the TAM model such as flow experience, benefits, innovation inclination, and customization features. Data were collected by using a survey research. A total of 270 responses were collected. Questionnaires from 25 individuals were removed from the data set due to the insincere responses, leaving the final sample size of 245. Findings support all but one hypotheses of the study. Both perceived utilitarian benefits and customization features of the branded app were found to have positive influences on the perceived usefulness of the branded app. Also, the innovation inclination and perceived entertainment of branded app users showed positive influences on the perceived ease of use of branded app. In addition, it was shown that the perceived usefulness about the use of the branded app influenced positively the flow experience and the users' attitudes toward branded app. Also, the ease of use perceived by branded app users had positive influences on the perceived usefulness and the user's attitude toward branded app. However, the ease of use of branded app did not have a significant influence on the flow experience among users. Moreover, the flow experience from the use of branded app users influenced positively the user's attitude toward branded app. Finally, the users' attitudes toward branded app had positive influences on their intention to use the branded app. Implications for practitioners and academicians are provided.

  • The changing paradigm due to the emergence of smart phone and the rapid spread of internet-based social media usage is considerably impacting the politics, economy, society, culture and many other fields. As the new communication tools, social media is receiving spotlight for its advantage of low cost but high efficiency. With the accelerating of the fulfillment of knowledge-based economy, country image is more and more recognized as the core competitiveness of a country. Therefore, it is very important to grasp the factors that affect country image. In this study, a literature review on the factors provided was conducted and affecting factors on country image were analyzed. In addition, on the assumption that social media, which are widely used on current days, have meaningful effects on country image and purchasing intention, features of social media are added as variables and analyzed. The results of analysis show that social media has meaningful effects on the country image and purchasing intention.

  • Smart phones become popular all over the world recently. At the same time, demand of various additional services, such as SNS by utilizing low-cost reliable Wi-Fi network and position information, is expected to keep growing. In this paper, Implementation of SNS based on an Open Wi-Fi & Position Information was proposed. This service is achieved by constructing an Open Wi-Fi network based on a built AP access information database. And in order to provide durable connection in mobile environment, RSS detect AP switching module and mobile IP are utilized in the proposed service. Furthermore, with the utilization of GPS information of AP, AP providers could delivery various information such as advertisements, promotion events. In addition, it is possible for AP users to communicate with each other, thus a position information based SNS was also proposed in this paper.

  • In this paper, we use the interface, which many countries concentrates research of Brain - Computer Interface with the device and MyndPlay based on the IoT intelligent Arduino. Finally we will make the Brain - Computer Connection environment, the purpose of Brain - Computer Interface. Recognizes the EEG of a person who wearing the equipment, analyze, classify, and we did a research to design an intelligent thing to suit user's condition. In addition, we use the XBee, and Bluetooth to communicate to other devices, such as smart phone. In conclusion, this paper check users current status via brain waves, and it allows to control the power and other objects by using the EEG(Electroencephalography).

The Effect of Involvement in Smartphones on Purchase Intention in Fashion Shopping Malls based on Mobile Web Apps and PC Web Apps (스마트폰몰입이 모바일웹과 PC웹기반의 의류쇼핑몰에서의 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study considers the effect of smartphone involvement for purchase intentions in fashion shopping malls based on mobile web apps and on PC web apps; in addition, it investigates the correlation between purchase intention in fashion shopping malls (based on activated PC web apps) and those of fashion shopping malls (based on newly created mobile web apps). The results of this study are: First, the analysis of smartphones factors showed that smartphones consist of 6 kinds of dimensions of 'appearance involvement', 'time and information search involvement', 'application involvement', 'entertainment involvement', 'communication involvement', and 'transaction involvement'. Second, the higher the entertainment and transaction involvement among descriptive variables for smartphone involvement were due to the positive responses displayed towards fashion shopping mall purchases based on mobile web apps. Third, a higher application and entertainment involvement in the descriptive variables for smartphones resulted in a positive response displayed for purchases in fashion shopping malls based on PC web apps shown in a regression analysis that verified the smartphone and purchase intention relationship in fashion shopping malls based on PC web apps. Fourth, consumers with high purchase intention in the existing PC web app based fashion shopping malls were shown to have a high purchase intention in mobile web app based fashion shopping malls due to the results of a correlation analysis that analyzed the relationship between purchase intention in PC web app based fashion shopping malls and mobile web app based fashion shopping malls.

  • This paper provide a framework for an IGILMS(internet-based global integrated logistics management system) which can access and mediate cargo transportations among small- and medium-sized domestic/international logistics corporations as regards cargo, registration and search for space, public tender and negotiation, contract, payment and safety-guarantee, transportation through the internet, wireless communication means, or smart phone etc. In addition, we describe a model to provide customized services in the B2B e-market for IGILMS and the structure and the control of its fulfillment process, and provide technical architecture of the IGILMS for an internet-based global logistics management system. To validate an efficiency of the proposed system, we develop a simulation model and analyze the performance of the proposed system.

An Analysis of Potential Customer Satisfaction Improvement Index of Smart Phone by Usage Characteristics (스마트폰 사용 특성별 잠재적 고객만족 개선지수 분석)

  • This paper is a follow up to the previous study which reveals that smartphone users are divided into three subcategories according to their usage characteristics. In this paper, these groups are called as 'general', 'entertainment', and 'work-assistant', taking into account their respective characteristics. The 'general' is a group whose smartphone usage characteristics are not focused on a specific purpose, the 'entertainment' is focused on music, internet, SNS, picture, and e-banking, and the 'work-assistant' is on work, GPS, diary. Inter-relation between the importance and satisfaction for the purchase determinants to the groups is investigated. In addition, Kano analysis of quality attributes is also performed, which includes quality type, satisfaction/dissatisfaction index, and PCSI (Potential Customer Satisfaction Improvement) index. The analysis result are as follows. Firstly, inter-relation between importance and satisfaction differs by user group. 'Internet', 'Ease of use', and 'Performance' purchase determinants are evaluated as competitive determinants in 'work-assistant' user group. Secondly Kano quality types of quality characteristics also differs by user group. 'Application' was classified as an attractive (A) types to 'entertainment' group and so on. 'Internet' 'Failure/Bug', 'Touch response rate' and 'Charging' are located in 'Nice' Region of S-PCSI Diagram and have to be considered as strategic quality characteristics. The results of this study is expected to give some helps in establishing a customer tailored quality strategy.

Implementation of Home Security System using a Mobile App (모바일 앱을 이용한 홈 시큐리티 시스템 구현)

  • In this paper, we aim to respond efficiently to crime by using Arduino and smartphone apps in response to increasing number of house-breaking crimes. It receives the signal of the sensor installed in the house and connects it with the app of the smartphone. To use the app, you can download the app from the user's smartphone, launch the app, and operate the operation outside the home, not only inside the house, by linking the executed app. Among the sensors installed in the house, the movement detection sensor is used to enhance the security, and the gas leakage sensor and the flame detection sensor can be used to easily detect the risk of fire and to prevent the fire early. Security is further enhanced by the ability to remotely control the front door with a smartphone. After that, various sensors can be added and it can be developed as a WiFi module in addition to the Bluetooth module.
