Effects of Team-based Problem-based Learning Combined with Smart Education: A Focus on High-risk Newborn Care (스마트 교육을 활용한 팀 기반 문제 중심 학습의 효과: 고위험 신생아 간호를 중심으로)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the effects of team-based problem-based learning combined with smart education among nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group, pre-posttest design was used. The experimental group (n=36) received problem-based learning combined with smart education and lectures 7 times over the course of 7 weeks (100 minutes weekly). Control group (n=34) only received instructor-centered lectures 7 times over the course of 7 weeks (100 minutes weekly). Data were analyzed using the $x^2$ test, the Fisher exact test, and the independent t-test with SPSS for Windows version 21.0. Results: After the intervention, the experimental group reported increased learning motivation (t=2.70, p=.009), problem-solving ability (t=2.25, p=.028), academic self-efficacy (t=4.76, p<.001), self-learning ability (t=2.78, p<.001), and leadership (t=2.78, p=.007) relative to the control group. Conclusion: Team-based problem-based learning combined with smart education and lectures was found to be an effective approach for increasing the learning motivation, problem-solving ability, academic self-efficacy, self-learning ability, and leadership of nursing students.

  • This paper describes the deposition and characteristics of electrochromic tungsten oxide thin films for electrochromic smart windows. Tungsten Oxide thin films(WO$_3$) are deposited by thermal evaporation techniques. By varying deposition parameters, WO$_3$ thin films exhibit different optical properties. The electrochromic devices are consist of ITO glass/ WO$_3$ thin films/ LiClO$_4$-propylene carbonate electrolyte/ counter electrode. The electrochromic properties of tungsten oxide thin films with different deposition condition ale investigated.

  • 본 논문에서는 상용화된 음성-인식 디바이스가 다른 임베디드 모듈과 통신하며 스마트홈 중앙처리 서버역할을 수행하려 할 때 제작사에 의해 개발되어지지 않거나 제한된 모듈과 서비스만을 제공한다는 문제점을 해결하기 위해 사용자가 직접 간단한 작업으로 원하는 기능의 모듈을 개발하여 자유롭게 음성인식명령을 추가할 수 있는 플랫폼을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 플랫폼의 개념은 특정 OS에 종속되지 않으므로 다양한 시스템에서 제공될 수 있도록 설계되었으며 실험 플랫폼은 Windows기반으로 제작되었으나 다른 시스템에도 같은 개념을 적용하여 제작할 수 있다.

  • 스마트 폰 사용자의 증가와 개발자들의 참여가 확대되면서, 다양한 스마트 폰 어플리케이션들이 배포되고 있다. 스마트 폰의 운영체제 공급자들은 개발된 어플리케이션을 직접 또는 개발자에게 위임하여 테스트하고 어플리케이션 설치파일의 코드를 서명하여 사용자에게 배포한다. 여기서 코드 서명은 개발자의 확인과 동시에 어플리케이션이 배포과정에서 수정되지 않았음을 보장한다. 사용자 측면에서는 이런 서명이 어플리케이션의 안전성을 판단 할 수 있는 유일한 기준이 된다. 하지만, 코드 서명을 우회하거나 어플리케이션의 설치파일 코드를 수정할 수 있는 방법이 나타나게 되었고, 이것은 사용자가 악성 프로그램을 설치하는 보안 문제로 이어질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 각 스마트 폰 운영체제별, 어플리케이션의 안전하지 못한 코드 서명으로 발생하는 보안문제를 서술하고, 스마트 폰 어플리케이션의 안전한 코드 서명을 위해 필요한 요구사항에 대해서 논의한다.

  • Most common web or application system architectures have central network. As a result, central network can be supervised and controlled in all situation. And It has the advantage of easy to manage and fast to work. However, central network have a disadvantage of weak to security and unclear. In particular, many institutions used by web system be has many problems by central network. In this paper, we proposed blokchain technology based on ethereum to resolve of problem and trading structure that arise in cental network. We propose a decentralized application based on points including cryptocurrency functions and smart contract to the advantages of blockchain with a decentralized structure. The results of the performance experiment are as follows; It has shown the advantages of reliable use and security in a variety of environments(Windows, Ubuntu, Mac).

Improving Student's Design Prototyping Skills using Interactive Prototyping Tool

  • This paper will explain the importance of using interactive prototyping tools in the HCI design process. The Future of HCI education project performed by ACM SIGCHI shows that students recognize that prototyping, especially paper prototyping and interactive prototyping, are both very important. Two widely-used prototyping tools in academy, Balsamiq and Oven, will be compared and rated by students according to their preferences. We choose the Balsamiq as our design tool because Oven can be designed on the web but applications cannot be designed directly on Mac or Windows. The Balsamiq tool will help you understand the task process of UI work and highlight the benefits of digital prototyping to test the execution of expected results in a fast fashion compared to high-level prototyping. We also present the outcome of this work through two case studies. In particular, the smart mirror project with voice recognition function shows the effectiveness of the proposed method as an example.

  • 스마트홈과 연동하는 안전한 방범창은 외부의 침입자를 차단하고 주거 내의 물품 도난 및 개인의 신변을 보호하기 위한 안전설비로 다양한 형태의 방범창이 존재한다. 스마트홈은 건물 내의 센서가 화재를 감지하면 방범창 내부의 원격시스템이 자동으로 방범창을 매우 짧은 시간 안에 개방할 수 있도록 설계한다. 화재 등 재난시 상하부 방법창이 자동으로 개폐되도록 랙피니언을 이용하여 방범창의 위쪽 창틀을 상승시켜 창살이 움직일 수 있도록 개방하고 동시에 아래쪽 창틀이 회전하도록 구성하여 화재 및 폭우 등에 인명피해를 줄일 수 있도록 설계한다. 스마트홈 시스템과의 연계로 재난을 미리 감지하고 탈출구를 개방한다면 신속하고 안전한 대피가 가능하고, 기존의 프레임 부분 변경에 간단한 시스템만 변경하여 적용할 수 있어, 간단한 구조로 설치할 수 있고 낮은 비용으로 스마트홈을 구성할 수 있다. 특히 스마트홈과 연동하여 재난을 미리 감지하고 탈출구를 개방함으로써 신속하고 안전한 대피가 가능하여 다양한 재난을 대비할 수 있다.

  • According that smart phones have been widely used, their users can easily access various information around the devices through location information services equipped to the smart phone devices. In this paper, we propose a WeWhere which is a system of client-server model for providing the current location among several smart phone users in real time. A client-side smartphone user send to a server his/her current location obtained by applying location information service provided from smart phones and receive location information of all smartphone users connected to the user from the server. The all location information is displayed on a smartphone of a user in client-side and users can track location of their related users. All most 200,000 persons in the world have used the proposed system, WeWhere, normally without overloading of a server system.

  • A survey was conducted to investigate the association between smart phone use and smart phone addiction in 515 dental hygiene college students. Statistical analyses were conducted using the PASW 18.0 program for Windows. Statistical significance was accepted when p<0.05. The association level was confirmed high in the cases of wide network of friends, and in the provincial areas. The independent parameters that negatively affected smart phone addiction were the wide network of friends, long duration of smart phone use, study attitude, and poor adaptability to campus life.

  • Recently embedded system developed a lot. Physically, embedded systems range from portable devices such as digital watches and MP3 players, to large stationary installations like traffic lights, factory controllers, or the systems controlling nuclear power plants. This paper focuses on implementation of portable device which is applicable to the child-kidnap or missing child prevention system in residential area or public area. To be specific, this device is to transmit video data which comes from the camera in the device into the host PC via WLAN. Embedded hardware platform consists of s3c2440 with ARM9 core, WindowsCE OS and other sensors. OS enables the platform to do multitasking jobs which are handling GPS data, taking video, capturing audio via microphone in the device and transfer all kind of realtime data to the host PC.
