SLAM(Simultaneous localization and mapping) and AI(Artificial intelligence) have been active research areas in robotics for two decades. In particular, localization is one of the most important issues in mobile robot research. Until now expensive sensors like a laser sensor have been used for the mobile robot's localization. Currently, as the RFID reader devices like antennas and RFID tags become increasingly smaller and cheaper, the proliferation of RFID technology is advancing rapidly. So, in this paper, the smart floor using passive RFID tags is proposed and, passive RFID tags are mainly used to identify the mobile robot's location on the smart floor. We discuss a number of challenges related to this approach, such as RFID tag distribution (density and structure), typing and clustering. In the smart floor using RFID tags, because the reader just can senses whether a RFID tag is in its sensing area, the localization error occurs as much as the sensing area of the RFID reader. And, until now, there is no study to estimate the pose of mobile robot using RFID tags. So, in this paper, two algorithms are suggested to. We use the Markov localization algorithm to reduce the location(X,Y) error and the Kalman Filter algorithm to estimate the pose(q) of a mobile robot. We applied these algorithms in our experiment with our personal robot CMR-P3. And we show the possibility of our probability approach using the cheap sensors like odometers and RFID tags for the mobile robot's localization on the smart floor.
Recently, NFC technology of short-range wireless communication using a smart phone to perform personal authentication with the electronic payment has been in the spotlight in various fields. However, the security associated with the personal information and the location information is vulnerable because it is easily fused with the existing mobile services and devices. In this paper, we propose a model for NFC payments help protect personal information and location information of NFC payment systems and services in various fields. Proposed model uses tag-based services in order to protect personal information and position information. The proposed model using the tag-based services is the place to check the various features available information in a simple Tag that can be easily accessed.
In this paper, different RFID tag types compliant with UHF frequency based RFID system were chosen to build RFID tag embedded concrete blocks. Then, by placing the tags in systematically varied depths of a concrete block, we could measure the RF signal attenuation pattern as the performance indicator of a specific concrete embedded RFID system. Experiments show that the concrete mixing ratio makes no significant difference in tag detection performance level. The significance of the developed RFID system lies in its capability of eliminating GPS's error and shadow area as well as providing smart infrastructure for supporting truly pervasive ubiquitous computing applications especially in outdoor environment.

Smart factory has the function of integrated management of production process management, logistics management as a intelligent factory, it is also emerging as the core of new industry which converges ICT and manufacturing business. We suggested Smart factory logistics management system which embedded position tracking technology and the system converges ICT and IoT. This suggested system can manage all the processes from production to release by tracking route and position based on signal strength of bluetooth 4.0 beacon tag. For the more, we will expect to apply to the various type of factory environments like detachable installation, optimized management using sensor.

This paper aims to build up a RFID-automated cargo movement system in an air-cargo warehouse. In our research, we do the spectrum measurements compliant with the RFID frequency bands to observe the interferences from legacy systems in the air-cargo warehouse. To overcome the dense-reader mode (DRM) problem, we apply three novel approaches, which are the periodic transmit of a reader, the Visible RFID reader & tag, and the sensor-based RFID system. Moreover, for the tag collision issue, we implement the Adaptive Adjustable Framed Q(AAFQ) algorithm, and the demonstration on RFID tag anti-collision algorithms show that the AAFQ algorithm has highly desirable tag anti-collision performance compared to any other commercially available solutions.
Since 11 September 2001, the awareness of terrorists' actions has clearly risen. The potential threat of terrorists using containers poses a large risk to our economies and to our societies. In order to protect cargo from damage and terrorist threats, business and government turn to RFID and IC tags, and tradition container is replaced by IC smart container. In this study, presented application of IC tag and future tasks to Container transport by sea in viewpoint of security strengthening. First, realization and international SCM realization structural order that cover container supply chain whole of international standardization and association between industry are certainly needed. Second, it may have to try in technical development for IC tag Ratio that can read elevation moment develop suitable IC tag or reader in International Standard. Third, Need to establish concrete use policy as soon as possible in national dimension at the same time effort for international standard normalization of frequency. Finally, it shows to uses jointly with electron sealing and must solve problem about usable plan and information leak.

One shot tasks like a MERSC handling policy, a cinema poster, and so on are too small, diverse, and sporadic to make them as apps or web applications. They are usually shared as the form of notes attached in the field or messages in smart phones. In order to support inter-operability with internet web sites, QR/NFC tags are attached to them. What matters in the web technology is that HTML5 standard does not supply the accessability of smart phones' resources like a camera, an audio, magnetic sensors, and etc. In this paper, we propose a universal smart phone application for handling various one-shot tasks in the same UI/UX. One-shot tasks are described with HTML5 web documents, and the URL for the web documents are stored in QR/NFC tags. A smart phone scans a tag, and then the web document is retrieved and presented finally. QR tags can be delivered to other smart phones through messages or SNS. We solve the problem of HTML5 standard supplying a resource access library with javascrippts. We suggested the whole architecture and the internal structure of QR/NFC tags. We show that our scheme is applicable to make variable one-shot tasks.

As smart phone users increase the number of users who insert credit cards into wallet type smart phone cases is increasing. In this paper, we developed an Android application for preventing credit card loss in a wallet type smart phone case using the NFC (Near Field Communication) technology of smart phone. The developed android application uses the NFC reading and writing functions of the smart phone. When the credit card is inserted into the wallet type smart phone case, the android application detects the NFC tag in the credit card and registers credit card information. When the credit card is removed from the smart phone case, the Android application automatically detects the credit card loss and notifies to the user. The user can check and finds the location information of the lost credit card on the map of the Android application. We can easily develop the Android application for preventing credit card loss when a function that automatically detects an leaving NFC tag is added to Android.

In this paper, we embed RFID tag into name plate of pole and store key value at its RFID tag in order to solve the problem for the management of name plate of pole, which identify by eyes of human for until now. The 900MHz RFID reader performs identification for stored key value, then its key value transmit into smart phone through Bluetooth. The smart phone transmit the key value into server through data communication network and receive again the necessary information after the authentication by the server. We develop pole information system that have such a structure.
In recent years, the smart card is wifely applied for wireless communication, tracking, transportation logistics, diagnostic monitoring, access control and security. RF-ID system is universally applicable. Passive RF-ID system consists from reader and passive tag. The reader transmits energy and simple information to a tag by wireless and the power from the reader is transformed for controller, FRAM and Bluetooth module. in this paper, an analysis and design of smart card for the transmission of the car movement data is presented.
