E-Business and Transaction Cost: Applications to Environment and Glocalization (e-비즈니스와 거래비용: 환경과 글로컬화에의 적용)

  • Recent lifeline with Internet and smart-phone is a new ICT-based revolution that has transformed the structure of economics and business activities in digital economy. This paper deals with some economic perspectives on the conceptual concerns on transaction costs and its applications to energy and environments, and glocalization strategies of e-business. First, we consider substantial differences between offline and online channel transactions and categorize three different aspects of transaction costs in the purchasing process in both channels. Second, we examine the impacts of e-business that affect sustainable environments and provide some considerations on energy savings, product-process design, and logistics. Finally, we present some opportunities and challenges posted by global e-business and outline the economics of networking in achieving enhanced performance and competitive advantage through glocalization strategies of e-business.

  • Recently, with the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the diversified industrial base and stable employment market have led to increased concern on the metropolis centered manufacturing. However, To enhance the added value and competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in Seoul, it is necessary to develop specialized smart-based technology and production, and to establish a collaborative system among various businesses in the areas of planning, production, and logistics. Accordingly, I planned a service that is necessary for activation of the urban manufacturing industry in Dongdaemun area of Seoul to enable designers to construct an infrastructure for direct production. The proposed content is a hands-on application that provides information to producers who want to make their own unique products with which they can buy materials from Dongdaemun, Cheonggyecheon, and Uljiro areas.

  • This paper proposes a optimum design method for the Fuzzy PID controller of magnetic levitation-based Rail-Guided Vehicle(RGV). Since an attraction type levitation system is intrinsically unstable, it is difficult to completely satisfy the desired performance through the methods designed by conventional controllers. In the paper, the Fuzzy PID controller with fixed parameters are applied and then the optimum parameters of fuzzy PID controller are selected by genetic algorithm. For the fitness function of genetic algorithm, the performance index of PID controller is used. To verify the performance of the proposed method, we used Matlab/simulink model of Maglev and compared the proposed method with the performance of PID controller. The simulation results show that the proposed method is more effective than conventional PID controller.

Furthermore some companies have introduced other system such as Environment Management System(ISO 14000), Occupational Health & Safety Assesment Series(OHSAS 18000) additionally. But most companies have introduced & implemented the quality, safety & security management system generally.   • Blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionize trust models and business processes in a variety of industries. However, it is considered to be the initial stage of the system that pursues autonomy rather than efficiency, and it is necessary to monitor and inspect the distributed ledger technology from the price and introduction time as compared with the existing relational DB transaction technology. However, domestic and foreign private sectors have already been activated by applying block-chain technology in the national domain, and the block chain is devoid of doubt that it is an exaggerated technology, characterized by the invariance of the record, transparency, and autonomous execution of business rules. It has begun to be utilized in history, identity, certification and auditing in the financial industry as well as various industries. In this paper, we analyze the problems such as security weakness, insufficient regulatory environment, technical consensus and lack of common standard. In addition, the business sense and possibility of the block chain technology is expected to be the innovation of the industrial ecosystem by entering into the reality system from the concept through monitoring the actual introduction performance in the field of copyright, logistics, health care and environment.

  • Technology that can determine the location of individuals is required in a variety of applications such as location based control, a personalized advertising. Missing-child prevention and support for field trips, and applications such as push events based on the user's location is endless. In particular, the technology that can determine the location without interruption in the indoor and outdoor spaces have been studied a lot recently. Because emphasizing on accuracy of the positioning, many conventional research have constraints such as using of additional sensing devices or special mounting devices. The algorithm proposed in this paper has the purpose of performing the positioning only with standard equipment of the smart phone that has the most users. In this paper, sensor Fusion with GPS, WiFi Radio Map, Accelerometer sensor and Particle Filter algorithm is designed and implemented. Experimental results of this algorithm shows superior performance than the other compared algorithm. This could confirm the possibility of using proposed algorithm on actual environment.

  • Cloud services are recognized the essential IT infrastructure in the optimal smart society which is changing rapidly as a low-cost and high-efficiency. This service of starting from prominent overseas companies such as Google, Amazon, had influenced on the introduction of the service for the various policies of foreign governments, including the United States and the United Kingdom. Such countries adopting to the cloud computing and make transform to the cloud service of existing public service for the effective management of information resources. In this study, we have proposed the main determining factors of cloud adoption, the model of cloud governance for the adoption of public cloud service.

Dynamics of silicon nanobeams with axial motion subjected to transverse and longitudinal loads considering nonlocal and surface effects

  • A microstructure-dependent dynamic model for silicon nanobeams with axial motion is developed by considering the effects of nonlocal elasticity and surface energy. The nanobeam is considered to subject to both transverse and longitudinal loads arising from nanostructural surface effect and all positive directions of physical quantities are defined clearly prior to modeling so as to clarify the confusions of sign in governing equations of previous work. The nonlocal and surface effects are taken into consideration in the dynamic behaviors of silicon nanobeams with axial motion including circular natural frequency, vibration mode, transverse displacement and critical speed. Various supporting conditions are presented to investigate the circular frequencies by a numerical method and the effects of many variables such as nonlocal nanoscale, axial velocity and external loads on non-dimensional circular frequencies are addressed. It is found that both nonlocal and surface effects play remarkable roles on the dynamics of nanobeams with axial motion and cause the frequencies and critical speed to decrease compared with the classical continuum results. The comparisons of the non-dimensional calculation values by present and previous studies validate the correctness of the present work. Additionally, numerical examples for silicon nanobeams with axial motion are addressed to show the nonlocal and surface effects on circular frequencies intuitively. Results obtained in this paper are helpful for the design and optimization of nanobeam-like microstructures based sensors and oscillators at nanoscale with desired dynamic mechanical properties.

Feasibility Study on Introduction of Piggy-back System by Applying Transport Database

  • In this study, The goal is to analyze the feasibility of introducing a Piggyback system that can reduce the time and cost incurred by transshipment work and improve the transportation speed when transporting complex cargo by rail. To this end, the feasibility analysis methodology is reviewed through domestic and international literature review. In order to quantitatively derive the feasibility analysis values, a transportation database was applied to develop a freight transport simulation model and a freight demand prediction model for major freight transport O-D routes with a transportation distance of 200 km or more. As a result of analyzing economic feasibility by setting the analysis period to 15 years on the premise that the Piggyback System will be introduced on major cargo transport O-D routes in 2025, the NPV value was positive and the B/C value was 1.18, indicating that the Piggyback system was economical. The proposed research method can be meaningful data for establishing transportation policies that can improve the competitiveness of railroad transportation.

The Effect of Distance Lecture Quality on Self-Efficacy and Learner Satisfaction

  • Due to the prolonged COVID-19, distance lectures are expected to continue for a considerable period of time. Research on factors affecting distance lecture quality and learner satisfaction is essential. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between distance lecture quality (system quality, information quality, service quality, interaction quality), self-efficacy, and learner satisfaction, and to suggest theoretical and practical implications for the effective operation of distance lectures. A survey was conducted for university students taking distance lectures, and 197 questionnaires were used for empirical analysis. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 21.0. As a result; First, distance lecture quality (system quality, information quality, service quality, interaction quality) was found to have a positive effect on self-efficacy. Second, distance lecture quality (system quality, information quality, service quality, interaction quality) was found to have a positive effect on learner satisfaction. Third, self-efficacy was found to have a positive effect on learner satisfaction. Based on the analysis results, the implications and limitations of this study are presented.
