4차 산업혁명의 스마트 키친 연구 - IOT 주방가구와 주방가전의 개발사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on Smart Kitchen of the 4th Industrial Revolution - Focusing on IOT Kitchen Furniture and Kitchen Electric Appliances -)

  • This paper analyzed the modern trends and the present state of kitchen furniture and electric appliances depending on the advancement in IOT technology, in order to contribute to seeking a method of approaching consumers as an effective way for kitchen furniture and electric appliance companies to develop IOT products. Prior to analysis, the chronological transitions of Korean kitchen furniture and examined the effects of Korea's own emotions and characteristics on modern kitchen. For this study, the changes in Korean kitchen space were explored, based on previous studies, recent trend magazines, articles and professional books and the trends of modern kitchen furniture were observed. Also, the concept of IOT technology was considered and then the tendencies of modern IOT kitchen furniture and electric appliances were analyzed. The case study targeted the recent three-year trends of two types of domestic kitchen furniture and small-sized IOT kitchen electric appliances, which are sold, or have been introduced on foreign online stores and have been unveiled at CES Electric Appliances Exhibition. As a result of the study, it was found that many foreign countries, including the US have been developing various IOT kitchen electric appliances. The enterprise concept is to change kitchen with their IOT products, not changing future kitchen with IOT technology. This implies that approaches to product development may change. Moreover, it was recognized that for kitchen design, characteristics of product users need to be considered, according to Korean ideology.

  • Pandemic situations such as COVID-19 can occur supply chain crisis. Under the supply chain crisis, delivering farm products from the farm to the city is also very challenging. Therefore it is essential to prepare food sufficiency people who live in a city. We firmly insist on food self-production/consumption systems in each home. However, since it is impossible to grow high-quality crops without expertise knowledge. Therefore expert system is essential to grow high-quality crops in home. To address this problem, we propose a smart kitchen farm as a data-based monitoring system and platform with ICT convergence technology. Our proposed approach 1) collects data and makes judgments based on expert knowledge for home users, 2) increases product quality of the smart kitchen farms by predicting abnormal/normal crops, and 3) controls each personal home cultivation environment through data-based monitoring within the smart central server. We expect people can cultivate high-quality crops in thir kitchens through this system without expert knowledge about cultivation.

경남지역 학교 급식조리실 개선 전후 환기성능 평가 (Evaluation of Ventilation Effectiveness Before and After Kitchen Renovation in Schools of Gyeongsangnam-do)

  • Objectives: Many cases of lung cancer have been reported by school kitchen workers as occupational cancer. Twenty-eight schools in Gyeongsangnam-do Province were selected to evaluate the effect of improved kitchen ventilation systems. Ventilation characteristics before and after renovation were compared and design techniques were identified. Methods: In the design stage for kitchen ventilation systems, expert intervention was used to improve the designs. Ventilation characteristics and air quality were evaluated before and after the renovations. Hood face velocity and fan flow rate were measured and the smoke visualization technique was used to evaluate the capability of protecting worker's breathing zone. The concentrations of PM0.3 were measured at points not adjacent to cooking equipment because these concentrations fluctuate greatly. Results: Mean hood face velocity increased from 0.29 m/s before renovation to 0.7m/s after renovation. The concentrations of PM0.3 showed a roughly 95% reduction. Concentrations of CO showed more than a 75% reduction. Smoke visualization showed greater protection of workers' breathing zone. Conclusions: Advanced design techniques for school kitchen ventilation systems were applied to renovate old kitchen ventilation systems. The performance of the new kitchen ventilation systems was nearly excellent. Further improvement of design techniques is still needed, however.

사용자 경험을 통한 제스처 인터페이스에 관한 연구 (A Study on Gesture Interface through User Experience)

  • 최근 주방의 역할은 이전의 생존 영위를 위한 공간으로부터, 현재의 생활과 문화를 보여주는 공간으로 발전하였다. 이러한 변화와 더불어, IoT 기술의 사용이 확산되고 있다. 그 결과로, 주방에서의 새로운 스마트기기의 발전과 보급이 이루어지고 있다. 때문에 이러한 스마트기기를 사용하기 위한 사용자 경험 또한 중요해지고 있다. 이는 맥락적 사용자 기반의 데이터를 통해 사용자와 컴퓨터간의 보다 자연스러우며 효율적인 상호작용을 기대할 수 있기 때문이다. 본 논문은 주방에서 사용하는 스마트기기의 사용자 인터페이스(user interface, UI)를 바탕으로 기기와 접촉을 하지 않는 자연스러운 사용자 인터페이스(natural user interface, NUI)를 고찰하고자 한다. 그 방법으로, 기기에 부착되어 있는 카메라를 이용하여 사용자의 손 제스처를 인식한 뒤 인식된 손의 모양을 인터페이스에 적용하는 영상 처리 기술을 활용하였으며 사용자의 맥락과 상황에 맞는 제스처를 제안하고자 하였다. 본 실험에 사용된 제스처의 기본방향은 직관성과 학습 용이성에 중점을 두었으며 기본적인 5개의 제스처를 분류하여 이를 인터페이스에 활용하였다.

WCDMA-LTE 기반의 Smart HACCP 시스템 구축을 위한 단말기 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on the Development of Devices for Smart HACCP Systems with WCDMA-LTE Based)

  • 본 논문에서는 초 중 고등학교의 급식과 관련하여 학생들의 식중독 사고를 예방하기 위해 급식소의 냉 온장고 및 각종 주방 기기의 온도와 습도를 모니터링하여 WCDMA-LTE 망을 이용하는 스마트 HACCP 시스템을 제안한다. 단말기로부터 수집된 데이터는 특정서버로 전송되며 더욱 안전한 식품을 제공하기위해 식중독지수와 비교된 후, 단말기가 설치된 장소의 식중독지수를 LCD화면에 표시하도록 한다. 이러한 시스템을 구현하는데 있어 주요 요소가 WCDMA-LTE 망 기반의 온습도 측정 및 모니터링 시스템 전용 단말기이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다른 단말기와 상호 통신이 가능하도록 424 MHz 및 블루투스 4.0 무선모뎀을 포함한 LTE 단말기를 설계하고 구현하였다. 향후 본 시스템은 비닐하우스의 온도감시 시스템 또는 원격 환경감시 시스템으로의 적용이 가능하다.

스마트 홈에서 프라이버시 보호를 위한 사용자 동적 접근제어 (User Dynamic Access Control for Privacy Protection in Smart Home)

  • 스마트 홈이란 집 안의 냉난방에서부터 조명, 주방, 보안에 이르기까지 가정에 있는 다양한 장치들을 네트워크에 연결해서 집안의 모든 정보를 모니터링 및 제어할 수 있는 기술을 의미한다. 스마트 홈 기술의 발전으로 집안 기기의 사용은 편리 해졌지만 반면 정보보안 측면의 해저드가 공존한다. 권한이 없는 방문자가 집안의 기기에 임의로 접근해서 정보 조회나 기기를 제어하는 프라이버시 및 보안 문제는 스마트 홈에 있어 해결해야 할 중요한 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 스마트 홈에서 프라이버시 보호를 위한 사용자 동적 접근 제어 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 시스템은 스마트 홈서비스 사용자의 상황정보를 자동 판별하여 사용자의 역할을 정의하고 서비스 접근 범위를 동적으로 제어함으로써 사용자의 프라이버시를 보호하고 스마트 디바이스 간의 효과적인 서비스를 제공한다. 제안된 스마트 홈에서의 동적 접근 제어 방법은 스마트 홈 기기에 대한 개인정보 보호를 위한 향상된 보안서비스를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

홈 스마트 미러의 효율적 활용을 위한 사용자 행태 및 니즈 분석 연구 (A Study on Analysis of User Behavior and Needs for Efficient Use of a Home Smart Mirror)

  • Rapid changes to the paradigm of smart media have created a communication environment through merging with various media such as IoT technology, which is internet of things. Among them, user' need for a start home, which is one of people living conditions, has been growing and values of the communication environment in a living space using a smart mirror have been growing. However, studies on figuring out behavior and analyzing needs of family members who actually use the living space are insufficient. This study is to draw the service system of the home smart mirror by analysis of behavior and needs of users of the living space. For a research method for analysis of behavior of family members, I wrote two kinds of user's experience maps, which are frequency of use of a quantitative space of a living space and space's important value scales by persona study and depth interview. Through this, applied spaces of the home smart mirror (living room, bathroom, powder room, dress room, porch, kitchen, room) and the types of user needs (type of providing information, entertainment type, control type, service type) have been drawn and statistical analysis methodology has been utilized for a research of user preferences in regard to correlation between living spaces and types of user needs based on a survey. As a result of analysis of ages and gender, types of user needs by space have been drawn and the service system of the home smart mirror has been drawn. It would be utilized as a basic material for various contents development and design using the smart mirror in the future.

Effects of Triclosan on Neural Stem Cell Viability and Survival

  • Triclosan is an antimicrobial or sanitizing agent used in personal care and household products such as toothpaste, soaps, mouthwashes and kitchen utensils. There are increasing evidence of the potentially harmful effects of triclosan in many systemic and cellular processes of the body. In this study, we investigated the effects of triclosan in the survivability of cultured rat neural stem cells (NSCs). Cortical cells from embryonic day 14 rat embryos were isolated and cultured in vitro. After stabilizing the culture, triclosan was introduced to the cells with concentrations ranging from $1{\mu}M$ to $50{\mu}M$ and in varied time periods. Thereafter, cell viability parameters were measured using MTT assay and PI staining. TCS decreased the cell viability of treated NSC in a concentration-dependent manner along with increased expressions of apoptotic markers, cleaved caspase-3 and Bax, while reduced expression of Bcl2. To explore the mechanisms underlying the effects of TCS in NSC, we measured the activation of MAPKs and intracellular ROS. TCS at $50{\mu}M$ induced the activations of both p38 and JNK, which may adversely affect cell survival. In contrast, the activities of ERK, Akt and PI3K, which are positively correlated with cell survival, were inhibited. Moreover, TCS at this concentration augmented the ROS generation in treated NSC and depleted the glutathione activity. Taken together, these results suggest that TCS can induce neurodegenerative effects in developing rat brains through mechanisms involving ROS activation and apoptosis initiation.

Notify boiling water by using TMP36 sensor

  • These days, citizens have a lot of ways to get access to IT. In the past, they tended to neglect IT that was thought to be difficult. But, currently, everyone can manufacture and get access not only software but also hardware when he has an idea. Arduino is used. Rinnai had recently released new product named Smart Sensor Range. Safe consumer who gave priority to the safety made new trend gave attention to fire prevention and smart sensor range. The ones who buy gas range prefer safety to economic advantage and/or fire power. The safety system does not always prevent fire accident. This study makes design and produces alarm that perceives temperature of pot when boiling. Not only temperature sensor but also alarm sensor was used to make alarm of boiling water and to give convenient living life. The arduino can be used at practical life to make products for various kinds of people. The invention can give convenience to housewives at kitchen, children and many persons making use of gas range. Another function can be added to develop. This arduino can develop a lot of products by using the study and other designs.

지능형 주거 서비스 개발을 위한 고령자 행위 사례분석 연구 - 24시간 자기기입식 행위 분석을 중심으로 - (A Case Study on the Elderly People's Behavior for Developing Smart Home Service - Focus on analyzing behaviors filling up by oneself for 24hours-)

  • The purpose of this study is to categorize elderly people's behavior using the questionnaire filling up by oneself for 24hours and to analyze the time required according to behavior and space. Also, through analytical researches, we find a way to develop smart home service. In this study, we carry out a questionnaire targeting a number of 20 elderly people. The questionnaire is to survey elderly people's behaviors for 24hours. Questionnaire items consist of three parts : items for checking time required about a daily behavior, items for analyzing a space in daily lives, generalities. This study is analyzed through descriptive statistics. The results of this study were as follows. Firstly, the elderly people's behaviors were eight categories. Among these behavior's categories, the highest portion is the behavior related to Individual maintenance such as sleep, personal hygiene, nap, etc. by 49%. Secondly, the portion of time required in residence based on daily lives is higher than outside of residence by 73%. Lastly, analyzing each space in residence focused on time required of elderly people's behaviors, bed room is the highest portion by 49%, and followed by living room with 29% and kitchen with 15%, and bath room with 7%.
