Smart farm dissemination by continuously developing IoT is one of the best solution for decreasing labor in Korea farming area because of ageing. For this reason, the number of Smart farm in Korea is being increased. The Smart farm can control farming environment such as temperature for human. Specially, The important thing is controlling proper temperature for farming. In order to control the temperature, legacy smart farms are usually using pans or air conditioners which can control the temperature. However, those devices result in increasing production cost because the electric power consumption is high. For this reason, we propose a smart farm which can predict the proper temperature after an hour by using Deep learning to minimize the electric power consumption by controlling window instead of pans or air conditioners. We can see the 83% of electric power saving by means of the proposed smart farm.
Vertical farming is one of the important solutions to overcome future food and population problems. However, underdeveloped countries can't afford due to high initial investment costs and technical huddles. To solve this problem, it is necessary to formalize the vertical farming area using ontology. In this paper, we present an ontology that includes various cultivation methods of vertical farming, connects sensors and actuates according to the methods, and recognizes and controls the cultivation environment context of the selected vertical fanning, we expect to be able to autonomously make control decisions about the context by analyzing the environmental context that is important for perceived vertical cultivation using the logical reasoning function of ontology.

As the consumption of fishery products continues to increase, aquaculture industry has emerged instead of fishing industry facing limitations of fish stock resources. Recently, smart fish farming industry has rapidly developed through convergence with 4th Industrial Revolution technology. Accordingly, it is important to derive a future model of smart fish farming platforms in order to secure the superiority of the aquaculture industry and the technology standard hegemony. In this study, the future direction of smart fish farm platform was derived through the analysis of environment related to politics, economy, society, and technology related to smart fish farming by applying PEST methodology of macro-environment analysis. It is expected that it will help the public and industrial circles in planning and implementing related projects by including the entire process of value chain of aquaculture industry of breeding, production, management and distribution, and by presenting advanced models based on artificial intelligence and digital twin.
Purposes: This study was to validate the Robotic Smart Work System that can provides better working conditions and high productivity in unstructured environments like bio-industry, based on a tele-operation system for fruit harvesting with low cost 3-D positioning system on the laboratory level. Methods: For the Robotic Smart Work System for fruit harvesting and cultivation management in agriculture, a vision based tele-operating system and 3-D position information are key elements. This study proposed Robotic Smart Farming, an agricultural version of Robotic Smart Work System, and validated a 3-D position information system with a low cost omni camera and a laser marker system in the lab environment in order to get a vision based tele-operating system and 3-D position information. Results: The tasks like harvesting of the fixed target and cultivation management were accomplished even if there was a short time delay (30 ms ~ 100 ms). Although automatic conveyor works requiring accurate timing and positioning yield high productivity, the tele-operation with user's intuition will be more efficient in unstructured environments which require target selection and judgment. Conclusions: This system increased work efficiency and stability by considering ancillary intelligence as well as user's experience and knowhow. In addition, senior and female workers will operate the system easily because it can reduce labor and minimized user fatigue.

The Internet of things (IOT) is remodeling the agribusiness empowering the agriculturists through the extensive range of strategies, for example, accuracy as well as practical farming to deal with challenges in the field. The paper aims making use of evolving technology i.e. IoT and smart agriculture using automation. The objective of this research paper to present tools and best practices for understanding the role of information and communication technologies in agriculture sector, motivate and make the illiterate farmers to understand the best insights given by the big data analytics using machine learning. The methodology used in this system can monitor the humidity, moisture level and can even detect motions. According to the data received from all the sensors the water pump, cutter and sprayer get automatically activated or deactivated. we investigate a remote monitoring system using Wi-Fi. These nodes send data wirelessly to a central server, which collects the data, stores it and will allow it to be analyzed then displayed as needed and can also be sent to the client mobile.

In this paper, we propose a smart farming system using the visible light communication based on the software defined radio (SDR) technology and the conventional RF radio. The proposed system can continuously monitor growth environments of the LED plant factory and automatically control the LED plant factory to keep optimal growth environments. Furthermore, by creating a database from various growth factors, the LED plant factory can be efficiently managed.

The standard of the greenhouse control system defines the components in applying IT technologies to a greenhouse and specifies the requirements and the architecture for the technological issues. The system collects information for the growth management of corps and can control the facilities promoting the optimal growth environments in greenhouse. This system includes the growth environment management service, the growth environment control service, and etc. In this paper, it is required to consider the actualized IT convergence case for agriculture, namely Smart Farming as a solution to cope the presented problems. In addition, suggest to standard functional model and standardization items for the smart farming based on network.

One of the most pressing socioeconomic problems confronting humanity on a worldwide scale is food security, particularly in light of the expanding population and declining land productivity. These causes have increased the number of people in the world who are at risk of starving and have caused the natural ecosystems to degrade at previously unheard-of speeds. Happily, the Internet of Things (IoT) development provides a glimmer of light for those worried about food security through smart agriculture-a development that is particularly relevant to automating food production operations in order to reduce labor expenses. When compared to conventional farming techniques, smart agriculture has the benefit of maximizing resource use through precise chemical input application and regulation of environmental factors like temperature and humidity. Farmers may make data-driven choices about the possibility of insect invasion, natural disasters, anticipated yields, and even prospective market shifts with the use of smart farming tools. The technical foundation of smart agriculture serves as a potential response to worries about food security. It is made up of wireless sensor networks and integrated cloud computing modules inside IoT.

With the spread of smart technology, in the personal and office equipment, many of the products are equipped with smart features. These changes have opened the era that can enforce the user's operation from a remote location. In this study, we design and implement a smart multi-plug system to make a multi-plug installed in the home can be operated anytime and anywhere via wireless network technologies add smart feature to a multi-plug that can be seen easily around us, it is intended to complement the limitations of traditional multi-plugs. The smart multi-plug proposed in this paper, by operating the plug remotely from smart devices at anytime and from anywhere, is possible to provide services required for the weak users such as elderly and children, it is expected that the proposed system are widely used in the various areas requiring remote control of the power supply including u-Farming, terrarium, and smart home, and so on.
This paper presents the optimal design of a heating system using radiant heating elements for application in smart farms. Smart farming, an advanced agricultural technology, is based on artificial intelligence and the internet of things and promotes crop production. Temperature and humidity regulation is critical in smart farms, and thus, a heating system is essential. Radiant heating elements are devices that generate heat using electrical energy. Among other applications, radiant heating elements are used for environmental control and heating in smart farm greenhouses. The performance of these elements is directly related to their electrical energy consumption. Therefore, achieving a balance between efficient electrical energy consumption and maximum heating performance in smart farms is crucial for the optimal design of radiant heating elements. In this study, the size, electrical energy supply, heat generation efficiency, and heating performance of radiant heating elements used in these heating systems were investigated. The effects of the size and electrical energy supply of radiant heating elements on the heating performance were experimentally analyzed. As the radiant heating element size increased, the heat generation efficiency improved, but the electrical energy consumption also increased. In addition, increasing the electrical energy supply improved both the heat generation efficiency and heating performance of the radiant heating elements. Based on these results, a method for determining the optimal size and electrical energy supply of radiant heating elements was proposed, and it reduced the electrical energy consumption while maintaining an appropriate heating performance in smart farms. These research findings are expected to contribute to energy conservation and performance improvement in smart farming.
