Natural Language Processing (NLP) has grown tremendously in recent years. Typically, bilingual, and multilingual translation models have been deployed widely in machine translation and gained vast attention from the research community. On the contrary, few studies have focused on translating between spoken and sign languages, especially non-English languages. Prior works on Sign Language Translation (SLT) have shown that a mid-level sign gloss representation enhances translation performance. Therefore, this study presents a new large-scale Korean sign language dataset, the Museum-Commentary Korean Sign Gloss (MCKSG) dataset, including 3828 pairs of Korean sentences and their corresponding sign glosses used in Museum-Commentary contexts. In addition, we propose a translation framework based on self-supervised learning, where the pretext task is a text-to-text from a Korean sentence to its back-translation versions, then the pre-trained network will be fine-tuned on the MCKSG dataset. Using self-supervised learning help to overcome the drawback of a shortage of sign language data. Through experimental results, our proposed model outperforms a baseline BERT model by 6.22%.

In this paper, we propose a plan for prospective early childhood teachers to plan, design, and produce and the results of operating a teaching model. To this end, we will identify video content for each age and video content of various topics and video playback time required by early childhood education sites, actively collect opinions from workers currently in early childhood education institutions, and suggest ways to develop on-site video content in the university curriculum. This requires prospective early childhood teachers to improve their self-understanding capabilities, community capabilities, and creative convergence capabilities, including digital capabilities. Through this, we intend to contribute to fostering smart early childhood teachers and creating a kindergarten activity and environment applying the latest video technology.

In this paper, we developed a 'comprehensive pet management application' that combines pet AI diagnosis, animal hospital search, smart household accounts, and community functions. The application can solve the inconvenience of users who have to use multiple functions as separate applications, and can easily use pet AI diagnosis services through photos, provides animal hospital information using crawling, finds nearby animal hospitals, and supports smart households that can scan receipts using OCR text extraction techniques. By using this application, information necessary for raising pets such as health and consumption details of pets can be managed in one system.

Currently, Korea shares culture, economy, and society together as a member of the international community along with rapid economic growth. In particular, in the 2000s, the construction of local cultural performance halls has been promoted through efforts and methods for the development of local culture. As a result, many local governments built medium-sized or larger performance halls, and achieved both quantitative and qualitative effects by satisfying citizens and attracting visitors. However, this study aims to analyze the safety of the space used by many visitors at the same time and whether an effective evacuation plan is applied to frequent disasters and disaster situations in recent years.

During the post-pandemic period, the interest in foreign language learning surged, leading to increased usage of language-learning apps. With the rising demand for these apps, analyzing app reviews becomes essential, as they provide valuable insights into user experiences and suggestions for improvement. This research focuses on extracting insights into users' opinions, sentiments, and overall satisfaction from reviews of HelloTalk, one of the most renowned language-learning apps. We employed topic modeling and emotion analysis approaches to analyze reviews collected from the Google Play Store. Several experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of sentiment classification models with different settings. In addition, we identified dominant emotions and topics within the app reviews using feature importance analysis. The experimental results show that the Random Forest model with topics and emotions outperforms other approaches in accuracy, recall, and F1 score. The findings reveal that topics emphasizing language learning and community interactions, as well as the use of language learning tools and the learning experience, are prominent. Moreover, the emotions of 'admiration' and 'annoyance' emerge as significant factors across all models. This research highlights that incorporating emotion scores into the model and utilizing a broader range of emotion labels enhances model performance.

While the main purpose of irrigation reservoirs is to supply agricultural water, the needs of environmental flow and flood control has been expanded. The agricultural reservoirs have been operated in the form of carry-over system until now. Therefore, the supply of agricultural water is difficult when the storage rate is not sufficiently secured after large volume of irrigation. In addition, there are regulation of the upper storage rate for some large reservoirs during the flood season, but lower storage rate is not regulated. Accordingly, this study aims to evaluate the capacity of agricultural water and environmental flow supply by setting the management lower storage rate of reservoir. The changes in the supply of agricultural and environmental flow was simulated according to the three different regulating lower storage rate scenarios. As a result, it was judged effective in terms of water supply managing the lower storage rate up to 30% when the initial storage rate of farming period is above annual average for the Naju reservoir considering existing water management practice. If the lower storage rate would have been controlled above 30%, the supply of agricultural water might be increased and non-effective discharge amount would be decreased compared to other scenarios during dry period of 2016-2018.

In Korea, the number of crash accident victims per 100,000 population is three times higher than the average of OECD. In particular, 60% of it occurs on the community road. Thus, this study intends to analyze the causes of such accidents through a pedestrian and vehicle traffic survey. The purpose is to establish practical safety enhancement measures for community roads. In recent years, lots of changes have occurred in the pedestrian environment. A traffic survey shows that 65% of pedestrians walk on the right and 17% of people use smart-phones while walking. An eye camera experiment shows that the operation load of drivers on the community roads is more than 4 times higher than those in urban roads. According to a speed survey, 62% of vehicles drive at 30km/h or above. The characteristics of accidents on community roads are as follows. First, the ratio of accidents on the edge of the road is 2.3 times as high as those on other roads. Second, when people walk on the right, the ratio of accidents is 2.5 times as high as that of walking on the left. Third, it becomes more dangerous when people cross the road from the right to the left. The majority of accidents is caused by unsafe driving (84.4%). When a vehicle makes a left turn, the likelihood of accidents is 2.3 times as high as those caused by a right turn. The ratio of accidents caused by vehicles going backwards is 14% among all accidents. In community roads, the focus of drivers should be at least 4 times higher than those on urban roads. Thus, walking in the opposite direction of vehicles and careless behaviors are highly likely lead to accidents.

This paper tries to extend the conventional conceptual framework of the Internet of Things (IoT) so as to reify an advanced pervasive IoT-community collaboration concept, which is called the process-aware Internet of Things. The extended conceptual framework is embodied as a referential architecture that can be a standardized reference model supporting the conceptual integration of the Internet of Things and the process awareness. The extended referential architecture covers the full range of the architectural details from abstracting the process-aware behavioral semantics to reifying the IoT-process enactments. These extended framework and architecture ought to be the theoretical basis for implementing a process-aware IoT-community computing system supporting process-aware collaborations of Things in pervasive computing environments. In particular, we do point up that the proposed framework of the process-aware Internet of Things is revised from the Internet of Things framework announced in ITU-T SG13³ Y.2060 [26] by integrating the novel concept of process awareness. We strongly believe that the extended conceptual framework and its referential architecture are able to deliver the novel and meaningful insight as a standardized platform for describing and achieving the goals of IoT-communities and societies.

Purpose: This study evaluated the effects of a cultural competence training program for public health nurses (PHNs) using intervention mapping. Methods: An embedded mixed method design was used. Forty-one PHNs (experimental: 21, control: 20) and forty marriage migrant women (MMW) (20, in each group) who were provided nursing care by PHN participated in the study. The experimental group was provided with a four-week cultural competence program consisting of an eight hour offline and online course, e-mail newsletters and social networking services (BAND). Transcultural Self-efficacy (TSE) of the PHNs, client-nurse trust, and satisfaction with nursing care of MMW were measured. Ten PHNs in the experimental group were interviewed after the experimental study. Results: The experimental group showed a significantly greater improvement in TSE, client-nurse trust, and satisfaction with nursing care than did the control group. Six themes emerged from qualitative data: (a) Recognizing cultural differences, (b) Being interested in the multicultural policy, (c) Trying to communicate in MMW's own language, (d) Providing medical information using internet and smart phone, (e) Embracing culturally diverse people into society, and (f) Requiring ongoing cultural competence training. Conclusion: Cultural competence training enabled PHNs to provide culturally competent care and contribute to MMW's health outcomes.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between sexually explicit video viewing and social support through the mass media and the sex openness of adolescents. Methods: This study used as the main data of 'Study on Measures against Sexualization of Juveniles through Mass Media in the Smart Age' conducted by 'National Youth Policy Institute' in 2014 nationwide. 3,176 of the 4,356 adolescents in Korea were selected as the final study subjects after excluding the 1,180 missing adjectives. Results: As a result, sex openness of male students was higher than that of female students. The higher the grade, the higher the sex openness, and the higher the stimulus, the higher the sex openness. The higher the imitation sharing, the higher the sex openness. The higher the human rights violation, the lower sex openness. Finally, the higher the social support, the higher the sex openness. Conclusions: In conclusion, strengthening the management of realistic media providers and emotional education rather than the unconditional regulation of mass media is expected to help prevent adverse effects on the sex openness of adolescents.
