The service is composed of server system, teacher's application, parent's application and student's application. The control of student's phone in school is operated by school timetable and GPS(Global Positioning System) in smart phone. The student's phone is operating one of six policy. The six policy is 'emergency call only', 'specific application only', 'call only', 'call and text only', 'all allowed' and 'all lock'. The teacher can change the current policy with his or her phone, That is a the temporary policy can be applied on a day. In school hours, teacher is able to instruct student using application appropriate to the teaching. • A positioning based service uses one's position information with GPS. This application also use the position based characters and change the smart phone to the vibration mode at the registered position. If the user register some places to be vibrated in the smart phone, the smart phone will be automatically changed to the vibration mode as the registered position is same with the position of GPS in the smart phone. If the smart phone is being leaving some distance from the position, the phone will be released from the vibration mode. Therefore, this paper propose aims for intelligent smart phone.

  • This study is for empirical verification of the influence of the introduction of smart phone on using the portal sites that were affected the most in the previous media environment. To achieve this, Web traffic data that are the result of smart phone users' practical Web uses have collected longitudinally and analyzed. The research results are the following: First, the use hours of portal sites have decreased about 15% and the page views have did about 35%, since using smart phones was diffused and habituated in earnest during the past two years. Using the community, news media, video, mobile, and game section of portal site sections have reduced. Second, the portal site portion of using smart phone Web is much more than that portion of using PC Web. More than two thirds of smart phone Web use traffic occurs in using portal sites, while more than one third of PC Web use traffic does in using that. Using the news media section is the most of using portal site sections on a smart phone. Third, since the introduction of smart phone, using the news media, communication, and life section of portal site sections have greatly increased, while the community, mobile, and game section have greatly decreased in the aggregate.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of intent to use the medical-application(M-APP) of smart phone of nurses working at the nursing department of two university hospitals in Korea. The independent variables used in the study are performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating condition, attitude toward using technology, self efficacy, anxiety, ability to use a smart phone easily and socio-demographic characteristics. The sample used in the study consisted of 378 nurses selected from two university hospitals located in Seoul and Wonju, Korea. Data were collected with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study revealed 5 independent variables of attitude toward using technology, self efficacy, anxiety, ability of using APP and interest in smart phone have the significant effect on the intent to use the M-APP. The results imply that the hospital administrators and nursing managers should try to give more chances to learn the skills of using M-APP, provide sufficient resources and establish the stable hospital information system in order for their employees to use the M-APP more easily at their working places.

  • With the rapid development and diffusion of smart phone applications, mobile users are able to use various useful mobile services in humdrum life. Especially, interesting applications like QR code using camera module in a smart phone are developed continuously nowadays. We realized that the size and shape of shooting objects taken by a smart phone camera module are very different according to their types and versions of the android-based smart phone in the process of developing applications for measuring the shooting object using camera module of a smart phone. In this paper, we investigate the major differences among smart phone types and system versions when we take specific object with camera module of smart phones, analyze the various characteristics of camera modules that influencing the real size of the shooting object taken by a smart phone, and apply them to the development of the smart camruler application.

  • The demand of smart phone that recently came into spotlight as a new media is sharply increasing not only in Korean market but also in worldwide market but the academic study on this is still in the beginning stage. Hence, it would be a well-timed topic for discussion to make a systematic investigation and analysis. The technology acceptance model used in this study as a theoretical frame can set various external factors in introduction of new information technology as variables. This study made an assumption that such external factors would influence on perceived usefulness, easiness and amusement and such perceived awareness would make an impact on user's satisfaction and repurchase intention. This study proposed an empirical model in order to find out the recommendations and repurchase intention for new media, smart phone. This study model was validated to be very effective model that can explain more concretely and systematically for repurchase of smart phone. In conclusion, this paper illustrates a paradigm shift in smart environment to smart device manufacturers under fierce competition in the world market as well as various analysis results on consumer's use patterns according to such paradigm shift, which shall be utilized as useful information when establishing a marketing strategy for smart phone.
