  • Digital contents market has been drastically increasing under Clouding Computing and Smart Phone environment. The Contents industry is going to be more essential portion than manufacture or service industry in the near future. One good example of high value-added contents is the Harry Potter series which exceeds 10 years' net profit of Hundai automobile company. This one example shows us very well that digital contents market as a core-engine for culture industry development is economically influential and attractive as well. This study focuses on activation of Digital Copyright Exchange in knowledge service convergence era. First, it examines other services like stock exchange, electronic documents and authentication certificate etc. which are similar to DCE service. Then it analyzes what factors make copyright industry have interested in the DCE the through technology acceptance model. Based on the results of the analysis, finally, this study evaluates how the DCE contributes to copyright industry overall including fair utilization of works.

  • This study aims to classify wearable devices for infants and children according to their function, and to analyze the types and attachment methods of the devices by function, operating system, characteristics of materials, and types of batteries, and to identify the points for improvement. Forty-eight types of devices investigated through previous studies and keyword research online were analyzed. Wearable devices for infants and children were classified according to their functions into wearable monitors, wearable thermometers, GPS trackers, and smart watches. Devices had different shapes and attachment methods according to their functions, and were mainly clothes or accessory types. The accessory type devices were attached to the body using velcro, clips, bands, or adhesives. Wearable monitors and thermometers mainly used Bluetooth to transmit data wirelessly, and location trackers used various combinations of 4G(LTE), 5G networks, GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Smartwatches had different functions depending on whether smart phones were linked to them or not. Wearable monitors and thermometers mainly used by infants provided material information, but other devices did not. These devices used rechargeable, replaceable, non-rechargeable or non-replaceable batteries. Wearable devices need to be improved to reduce the discomfort experienced by infants and children due to the attachment position, malfunction, skin trouble caused by materials, short time of use of batteries, version conflict and complexity with the device when linking with a smart phone, and non-operation when using Bluetooth.

  • The Korean mobile telecom market has undergone a sea change since Apple created a new mobile ecosystem with Appstore and iPhone. Many non-telecom operators have been trying hard to come up with new business strategies to gain a competitive edge. The shifting competition landscape requires a new communications policy that can further stimulate the evolving market. This is why countries around the world are upgrading their communications policies: to renew the market foundation and better respond to the ever-changing industry environment. Using the ANP(Analytic Network Process) model, this study identifies policy variables and performs quantitative analysis on their priorities. The analysis results will help prioritize policy variables under the limited amount of resources, and serve as useful guidelines for making mobile ecosystem policies.

  • By the end of 2012, there were 5.1 billion mobile communication subscribers in South Korea. The majority of subscriptions (97.3 percent) were for mobile phones, particularly smartphones. From 2010 to 2012, the number of mobile phone subscriptions increased 2,000 percent, growing from an initial subscriber base of 150 million. This paper explores the changing mobile communication landscape from a socio-technological perspective to understand the underlying drivers of change and their effects on the South Korean populace. A content analysis of 11,156 electronic newspaper articles mentioning mobile communication in South Korea and occurring between 2010 and 2012 was conducted. 5,119 keywords were extracted based on frequency statistics and further analyzed to determine the drivers of change. Based on this analysis, we conclude that South Korea's mobile communication environment is focused on rapid expansion of technology with minor consideration given to the social aspects of this change. This has resulted in several negative consequences and we urge for new policies by government and industry to address this gap.

  • Nowadays, great energy consumption in advanced electrical industry has called up the great y efficiency. Electric power IT industry such as intelligent electric power system is receiving great attention and being marked up as a new growth engine. Through Intelligent electric power system, the electric power supply can be balance optimized according to demand, giving huge cost savings advantage for energy imports, infrastructure construction and operation. Nevertheless, the intelligent system promotes better reliability in power supply. Manual electric power management using man power appears to be non-practical. Real time electric power management on all facilities and equipment can be done through an intelligent electric power system, any accident break out issue can be easily recorded and recognized. In this paper, a fully integrated intelligent switchgear electric management system is developed to monitor and remote control the electrical switch based on smart phone. The proposed system is superior than the existing switchgear management system's weakness and can sharply improve effectiveness and stability with low cost. In future, the proposed system is expected to be greatly contributed to the advancement of the IT industry in electric power management.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate temporal and spatial variations, and moments of the lower extremities of gait while playing the game with smartphone under different curb-heights. Ten male elementary school students(from 10 years to 13 years old) participated in this study. Twelve infrared cameras(Oqus-500) and two force plates(9260AA) were used for collecting data and these were processed via Visual 3D software. In conclusion, with or without smartphone and with different curb-heights, the spatial and temporal parameters of walking were not the same and coefficients of variations were not consistent. The maximum joint moments of the lower extremities with or without smartphone were not statistically significant but those of hip and ankle joint were statistically significant with regard to the different heights of the curbs.

  • This study first attempted to point out fundamental reasons behind the failure to have WiBro services off the saddle, investigating the previous studies, and second to screen the WiBro promotion policies after reviewing the major steps conducted thus far by the government. In order to put the screened policies in order by the importance, an AHP analysis was conducted targeting WiBro professionals in various fields such as government offices, universities, research institutes, and industry. One step further, causal loop diagramming on the system dynamics methodology was conducted to examine the dynamic structure of the WiBro market in holistic standpoint of view. Finally, a simulation model was developed based on the causal loop diagrams and the results of the AHP analysis in order to examine how various policy scenarios influence the growth of the WiBro market over time, and to compare the mix of policy options. Finally, the study attempted to draw some implications for WiBro vitalization.
