Service Quality Improvement of Smart Phone Application (스마트 폰 애플리케이션 서비스 품질의 개선)

  • Smart phones have brought rapid changes in this competitive world. Smart phone application developers are trying their best to consider the customer requirements in the most efficient way while considering all its attributes. However smart phone service quality has been given less consideration comparatively during the last few years. This paper proposes a measurement method for improving service quality of smart phone application. This method combines the service quality performance model (SQPM) and process capability index (PCI). The service quality performance model is used to identify service items that require improvement. Process capability index is used as a measure for prioritization of those improvements. Case study was carried out to search out important communication application service attributes. customer satisfaction level data was collected for users who used the application service. A total of twenty four service attributes were found during this survey. Using the joint approach of SQPM and PCI, five significant service attributes were prioritized for service quality improvement.

  • Today's modern society can be called the era of convergence. Mobile communication industry has become a rapid transformation to the era of mobile convergence. Smart phone users increasingly rapidly and the new role and value of smart phones is increasing in all walks of life, the impact of knowledge and information society, to accelerate the more recent case of Korea, determined to become more. The convergence of these, provided the creation of new value of the smart phone. It is intended to provide the ability to control television, set-top box, multimedia devices by using a smart phone.

  • The rapid changes in business environments are also applicable to the delivery service field. Numerous companies are using smart phones in order to perform work of the delivery service field that is rapidly developing every year. Smart phones established ubiquitous work environments where access to the server of the head office is possible through telephones, scanners, and the internet anywhere and anytime. However, although smart appliances including smart phones have been diffused, empirical analysis of use of them in actual has not been attempted much. In this regard, current study empirically analyzes how connectivity and context-awareness function of smart phones based on the TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) influence the continuous intention to use through trust, usefulness, and ease of use. The results indicate that the connectivity and context-awareness function, which are natures of smart phones, had impacts on the ease of use and trust, but not on the usefulness. Based on these results, this study suggests implications and future research directions regarding the planning and realization of smart appliances.

  • Only if the secret key stored in the engine ECU matches car key stored in the car, immobilizer system is a car anti-theft system that automobile engine takes. To take an action as soon in case of losing car key or being stolen, the ASPI protocol is proposed for assigning a new password after finishing user authentication by the smart phone etc. The shortcoming point of that directly bring the car to a service center in case of losing key can be complemented by the proposed protocol. In case of the car and key both are theft together, the car can be stopped soon.

  • Up to now the incomplete texture have been manufactured through the 2D surface treatment like simple painting process or printing process. But in order to obtain 3D texture like natural object, micro scales' 3D surface structure on the surface of plastic part must be formed. In this study plastic smart phone case with 3D texture was produced by developing the surface duplication technology of natural object used electro-forming technology, by developing the press forming technology converted plane stamper to curved surface stamper and by developing the injection mold and molding technology which have been installed the curved surface stamper.

  • In this paper we investigate the factors influencing the intention to use of smart-phone mobile banking service in China. We include the characteristics of smart-phone, mobile banking service, and users to the research model and also consider user satisfaction as an intervening variable. We try to find and prove the factors influencing the intention to use of smart-phone mobile banking service by surveying 206 chinese users and using structural equation model. This empirical paper proves that mobility, instance connectivity, use convenience, and intimacy give positive effects to intention to use of smart-phone mobile banking service. In addition, this paper indicates some managerial implications that mobility, access speed and the easy user interface can help to increase the degree of user acceptance.

  • As smart phone is daily used by most people, various location-based applications have been developed. Moreover, it is increased the requirements of location-based services that utilize Google maps, GPS sensing information and etc.. In this paper, we develop a smart phone application providing notification services by detecting the daily route deviation. We develop the server system which receives GPS information gathering from user's smart phone and analyse the user's regular routes. With the results from the analyzation the GPS coordinates, the application on a smart phone detects the case of a breakaway from regular routes. And then it can inform automatically and immediately the designed person such as guardians of children or the old and the infirm of the route deviation so will be helpful to protect such person. This is one example of the effectiveness of the application. Moreover, the application is developed on the client-server framework, thus it is very useful to judge the user's daily route deviation in realtime by using the accumulated information on the corresponding DB. Finally we evaluated the proposed methods which had been implemented on smart phones and show the utilities of the application.

  • Recently, the fast development of communication technologies has brought a great convince for human beings' life. Lots of commercial services and transactions can be done by using mobile communication equipments such as smart phones. Consequently, smart phones have attracted lots of companies to invest them for their potential growth of market. Compared with basic feature phone, a smart phone can offer more advanced computing ability and connectivity. However, based on the responses of customers, there still are many defectives such as not friendly and smooth operation, short standby time of batteries, threat of virus infected and so on needed to be improved. Therefore, this study will propose a product innovative function development procedure into TRIZ (theory of inventive problem solving) to transform voice of customers into product design and to create novel functions, respectively. A case study of smart phones will be provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Measuring Creativity of Ideas and the Corresponding Customer Satisfaction (아이디어의 창의성과 고객만족의 측정에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: This study is aimed to introduce the OPA-Kano method, an integrated version of OPA(Originality Practicality Analysis) and Kano's customer satisfaction method, and to examine its applicability. Methods: 30 ideas for smart phone accessories are generated using brainstorming and SIT(Systematic Inventive Thinking) and they are analyzed through the OPA-Kano method. For analysis, correlation method between OPA and Kano's results is applied for the ideas. Results: The results show that there is significant correlation between the OPA and Kano's approach, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through the case of smart phone accessories. Conclusion: From the result of this study, we conclude that the proposed OPA-Kano method can be used for the evaluation of ideas and customer satisfaction.
