Design and Implementation of M2M-based Smart Factory Management Systems that controls with Smart Phone (스마트폰과 연동되는 M2M 기반 스마트 팩토리 관리시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • The main issues of the researches are monitoring environment such as weather or temperature variation and natural accident, and sensor gateways which have mobile device, applications for mobile health care. In this paper, we propose the SFMS(Smart Factory Management System) that can effectively monitor and manage a green smart factory area based on M2M service and smart phone with android OS platform. The proposed system is performed based on the TinyOS-based IEEE 802.15.4 protocol stack. To validate system functionality, we built sensor network environments where were equipped with four application sensors such as Temp/Hum, PIR, door, and camera sensor. We also built and tested the SFMS system to provide a novel model for event detection systems with smart phone.

  • This paper established a new smart factory based on manufacturing data for an introductory company focusing on the personalized cosmetics manufacturing industry. We build on an example of a system that collects, manages, and analyzes documents and data that were previously managed by CGMP-based analog for data-driven use. To this end, we have established a system that can collect all data in real time at the production site by introducing artificial intelligence smart factory platform LINK5 MOS and POP system, collecting PLC data, and introducing monitoring system and pin board. It also aims to create a new business cluster space based on this project.

  • Manufacturing execution system is a factory information system that handles production-related quality data as well as executes production plans of process unit for all resources in the production process on site. As the 4th industrial revolution, which maximizes an automation and connectivity with artificial intelligence, has become a hot topic, manufacturers are showing interest in building a smart factories, but enormous construction costs and unstandardized production processes are obstacles to smart factory construction. Therefore, this paper designs and implements a manufacturing execution system for building a smart factory in a deterioration factory. we propose a Web-based manufacturing execution system aiming at a smart factory at the basic level for steel wire processing. The proposed system will smoothly support interworking with the existing ERP system using REST APIs, and will consider extensibility so that it can be used in various devices and browsers. We will show practicality by implementing the proposed WoT-based manufacturing execution system.

A Study on Track Record and Trajectory Control of Robot Manipulator with Eight Joints Based on Monitoring Simulator for Smart Factory

  • We describe a new approach to real-time implementation of track record and trajectory control of robotic manipulator with eight joints based on monitoring simulator. Trajectory generator uses the kinematic equations of the arm to convert the task description into a series of set points for each of the joint control loops, while the joint controllers, with simple algorithms for just one joint can move at a fast sampling rate, guaranteeing a smooth motion. The proposed control scheme is robust, fast in computation, and suitable for real-time control. Moreover, this scheme does not require any accurate parameter information, nor values of manipulator parameters and payload. Reliability of the proposed technology is veriefied by monitoring simulation and experimental of robot manipulator for the smart factory with eight degrees of freedom.

  • Facial recognition is a biometric technology that is used in various fields such as user authentication and identification of human characteristics. Face recognition applications are practically used in various fields, but very few applications have been developed to improve the factory work environment. We implemented applications that uses face recognition to identify a specific employee in a factory .work environment and provide customized information for each employee. Factory workers need documents describing the work in order to do their assigned work. Factory managers can use our application to register documents needed for each worker, and workers can view the documents assigned to them. Each worker is identified using face recognition, and by tracking the worker's face during work, it is possible to know that the worker is in the workplace. In addition, as a mobile app for workers is provided, workers can view the contents using a tablet, and we have defined a simple communication protocol to exchange information between our applications. We demonstrated the applications in a factory work environment and found several improvements were required for practical use. We expect these results can be used to improve factory work environments.

  • Starting from the 4th industrial revolution, core technologies were applied to industries to build various smart environments. Smart factories in the manufacturing industry produce high-quality products by applying IIoT as a core technology that can collect and control a wide range of data for customized production. However, the network environment of the smart factory converted to open through IIoT was exposed to various security risks. In accordance with security breaches, IIoT has shown degradation in the quality of manufactured products and production processes due to network disturbance, use and maintenance of forged IIoT, and can cause reliability problems in business. Accordingly, in this study, a method for safe connection and utilization of IIoT was studied during the initial establishment of a smart factory. Specifically, a study was conducted to check the IIoT connection situation so that the practicality of the IIoT connected to the smart factory could be confirmed and the harmless environment established.

  • Currently, research on smart factories is steadily being carried out in terms of implementation strategies and considerations in construction. Various studies have not been conducted on companies that introduced smart factories. This study conducted a questionnaire survey for SMEs applying the basic stage of smart factory. And the cluster analysis was conducted to examine the characteristics of the company. In addition, we conducted Decision Tree and Naive Bay to examine how the characteristics of a company are derived and compare the results. As a result of the cluster analysis, it was confirmed that the group was divided into the high satisfaction group and the low satisfaction group. The decision tree and the Naive Bay analysis showed that the higher satisfaction group has high productivity.

  • This study proposes an intelligent control of manufacturing robot with dual arm based on neural network for smart factory implementation. In the control method of robot system, the perspectron structure of single layer based on neural network is useful for simple computation. However, the limitations of computation are emerging in areas that require complex computations. To overcome limitation of complex parameters computation a new intelligent control technology is proposed in this study. The performance is illustrated by simulation and experiments for manufacturing robot dual arm robot with eight axes.

  • In the fourth industrial revolution era, various commercial smart platforms for smart system implementation are being developed and serviced. However, since most of the smart platforms have been developed for general purposes, they are difficult to apply / utilize because they cannot satisfy the requirements of real-time data management, data visualization and data storage of smart factory system. In this paper, we implemented an open source based smart manufacturing big data platform that can manage highly efficient / reliable data integration for the diagnosis diagnostic system of manufacturing robots.

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution driven by the convergence of ICT(information and communication technology) and manufacturing, research on smart factories is being actively conducted. In particular, the manufacturing industry prefers smart factories that autonomously connect and analyze data. For the efficient implementation of smart factories, it is essential to have an integrated production system that vertically integrates separately operated production equipment and heterogeneous S/W systems such as ERP, MES. In addition, it is necessary to double-verify production data by using automatic data collection technology so that the production process can be traced transparently. In this study, we want to show a case of data-centered integration of a large aircraft parts processing factory that requires high precision, takes a long time, and has the characteristics of processing large raw materials. For this, the components of the data-oriented integrated production system were identified and the connection structure between them was explained. And we would like to share the experience gained through the design and implementation case. The integrated production system proposed in this study integrates internal components based on data, which is expected to serve as a basis for SMEs to develop into an advanced stage, and traces materials with RFID technology.
