  • In this paper, images are automatically acquired to control the initial disease of strawberries among facility cultivation crops, and disease analysis is performed using the EfficientNet model to inform farmers of disease status, and disease diagnosis service is proposed by experts. It is possible to obtain an image of the strawberry growth stage and quickly receive expert feedback after transmitting the disease diagnosis analysis results to farmers applications using the learned EfficientNet model. As a data set, farmers who are actually operating facility cultivation were recruited and images were acquired using the system, and the problem of lack of data was solved by using the draft image taken with a cell phone. Experimental results show that the accuracy of EfficientNet B0 to B7 is similar, so we adopt B0 with the fastest inference speed. For performance improvement, Fine-tuning was performed using a pre-trained model with ImageNet, and rapid performance improvement was confirmed from 100 Epoch. The proposed service is expected to increase production by quickly detecting initial diseases.

  • In this paper, accidents in high-voltage overhead distribution lines, which provide stable power supply in the power system, cause inconvenience in life and disruption of production of companies. 22.9 [kV] high-voltage overhead power distribution lines aim to improve reliability and stability, such as damage caused by rain, snow, wind, etc., or electric shock prevention. Therefore, in order to prevent wire disconnection accidents due to deterioration of electrical conductivity or tensile strength due to corrosion of overhead distribution lines, it is necessary to prevent unexpected accidents in the future through regular inspection and repair. In order to diagnose deterioration due to corrosion of distribution lines, a diagnostic system (measuring instrument) is installed on the wires to monitor the condition of the wires. The manager on the ground receives the measured data through ZigBee wireless communication, controls the diagnosis system through the diagnosis system program, and grasps the condition of the overhead distribution line through the measured data and photographed photos, and predicts the life of the wire along with the visual inspection method. developed a program.

  • The main factor affecting the decline in rice yield is damage caused by localized heavy rains or typhoons. The method of analyzing the rice lodging area is difficult to obtain objective results based on visual inspection and judgment based on field surveys visiting the affected area. it requires a lot of time and money. In this paper, we propose the method of estimation and diagnosis for rice lodging areas using a Vision Transformer-based Segformer for RGB images, which are captured by unmanned aerial vehicles. The proposed method estimates the lodging, normal, and background area using the Segformer model, and the lodging rate is diagnosed through the rice field inspection criteria in the seed industry Act. The diagnosis result can be used to find the distribution of the rice lodging areas, to show the trend of lodging, and to use the quality management of certified seed in government. The proposed method of rice lodging area estimation shows 98.33% of mean accuracy and 96.79% of mIoU.

  • To ensure high quality data being used for data mining or feature extraction in the bridge structural health monitoring (SHM) system, a practical sensor fault diagnosis methodology has been developed based on the similarity of symmetric structure responses. First, the similarity of symmetric response is discussed using field monitoring data from different sensor types. All the sensors are initially paired and sensor faults are then detected pair by pair to achieve the multi-fault diagnosis of sensor systems. To resolve the coupling response issue between structural damage and sensor fault, the similarity for the target zone (where the studied sensor pair is located) is assessed to determine whether the localized structural damage or sensor fault results in the dissimilarity of the studied sensor pair. If the suspected sensor pair is detected with at least one sensor being faulty, field test could be implemented to support the regression analysis based on the monitoring and field test data for sensor fault isolation and reconstruction. Finally, a case study is adopted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology. As a result, Dasarathy's information fusion model is adopted for multi-sensor information fusion. Euclidean distance is selected as the index to assess the similarity. In conclusion, the proposed method is practical for actual engineering which ensures the reliability of further analysis based on monitoring data.

  • In this paper, the analytical fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) is presented using model-based and signal-based methodology with wavelet analysis on signals obtained from sensors and sensor networks. In the model-based FDD, we present the modeling of contact interface found in soft materials, including the biomedical contacts. Fingerprint analysis and signal-based FDD are also presented with an experimental framework consisting of a mechanical pneumatic system typically found in manufacturing automation. This diagnosis system focuses on the signal-based approach which employs multi-resolution wavelet decomposition of various sensor signals such as pressure, flow rate, etc., to determine leak configuration. Pattern recognition technique and analytical vectorized maps are developed to diagnose an unknown leakage based on the established FDD information using the affine mapping. Experimental studies and analysis are presented to illustrate the FDD methodology. Both model-based and wavelet-based FDD applied in contact interface and manufacturing automation have implication towards better quality of life by applying theory and practice to understand how effective diagnosis can be made using intelligent FDD. As an illustration, a model-based contact surface technology an benefit the diabetes with the detection of abnormal contact patterns that may result in ulceration if not detected and treated in time, thus, improving the quality of life of the patients. Ultimately, effective diagnosis using FDD with wavelet analysis, whether it is employed in biomedical applications or manufacturing automation, can have impacts on improving our quality of life.

Recently, the solar power generation system is being applied actively. However the solar power system has several problems leading to reduce overall electricity generation, because the difficult of the diagnosis and the solar power system failure such as PV(PhotoVoltaics) and inverter. In order to build an efficient smart grid, a stable electric power energy requirements capture and management and early fault detection is essentially required in solar power generation system. In this paper, it is designed to monitor the operating status of the solar power monitoring system from a remote location through a RS-485 or TCP/IP communication module to monitoring the output of solar power energy and abnormal phenomenon, to developing the measurement module and to transfer measured data.
