With probably too many smart phone applications downloaded, it is sometimes frustrating to find frequently used applications quickly. In this paper, we propose a learning application that learns what applications a user frequently uses and match them with several signals that user designated. This learning applications uses ART2 algorithm that is good for stable real-time learning. By executing this learning application, a user simply chooses an application that is to be quickly searched and then draw a figure that would match the designated application at the upper left corner of our learning application. The proposed learning application transforms the background with 0's and the figure with 1's and normalize them to be used as inputs for ART2 and ART2 does clustering to setup a match table between applications and figures. After learning, a user simply draws a figure to execute one's frequently used application.

According to the development of smart technologies such as smart phones, tablet PC, and SNS communication, the necessity of smart work that can change the working environments in organizations has been emphasized. However, while there are many organizations that wish to adopt smart technologies, there are those that have been skeptical until now about its potential success. Leaders may especially have different viewpoints concerning the efficacy and effectiveness of smart work depending on the industries, characteristics of the work, etc. Therefore, this research looks to investigate whether there may be differences between leaders (manager, project manager, supervisor, etc.) and non-leaders (team member, staff, etc.) group in accepting smart working through empirical and exploratory approaches.

Facial recognition is a biometric technology that is used in various fields such as user authentication and identification of human characteristics. Face recognition applications are practically used in various fields, but very few applications have been developed to improve the factory work environment. We implemented applications that uses face recognition to identify a specific employee in a factory .work environment and provide customized information for each employee. Factory workers need documents describing the work in order to do their assigned work. Factory managers can use our application to register documents needed for each worker, and workers can view the documents assigned to them. Each worker is identified using face recognition, and by tracking the worker's face during work, it is possible to know that the worker is in the workplace. In addition, as a mobile app for workers is provided, workers can view the contents using a tablet, and we have defined a simple communication protocol to exchange information between our applications. We demonstrated the applications in a factory work environment and found several improvements were required for practical use. We expect these results can be used to improve factory work environments.
Internet of Things(IoT) has become a key available technology for efficiently implementing device to device(D2D) services in various domains such as smart home, healthcare, smart city, agriculture, energy, logistics, and transportation. A lightweight publish/subscribe(Pub/Sub) messaging protocol not only establishes data dissemination pattern but also supports connectivity between IoT devices and their applications. Also, a Pub/Sub broker is deployed to facilitate data exchange among IoT devices. A scalable edge-based publish/subscribe (Pub/Sub) broker overlay networks support latency-sensitive IoT applications. In this paper, we design a hypercube grid quorum(HGQ) for distributed Pub/Sub systems based IoT applications. In designing HGQ, the network of hypercube structures suitable for the publish/subscribe model is built in the edge layer, and the proposed HGQ is designed by embedding a mesh overlay network in the hypercube. As their applications, we propose an HGQ-based mechansim for dissemination of the data of sensors or the message/event of IoT devices in IoT environments. The performance of HGQ is evaluated by analytical models. As the results, the latency and load balancing of applications based on the distributed Pub/Sub system using HGQ are improved.

Early smart-work of company K was a technology-led way of applying ICT such as smart phones and mobile devices to business. After company K perceived the limitations of ICT-driven smart work, it propelled the work-smart, doing a work smart toward the way that human beings become central and a creative organizational culture is engendered. Company K propelled work-smart strategy in eight categories: simplification of data requirements, establishment efficient meeting culture, streamlining reporting and approval process, simplified document creation, overtime decrease, spreading flexible work system, settlement of healing leave, creating work-smart place. Company K set up an organizational culture secretariat dedicated to work-smart promotion and selected task priorities in consideration of urgency and effectiveness. Owing to such efforts, the company K's work-smart index rose sharply to 72 points this year from 56 points in the previous year. At the organizational culture survey, employees responded that organizational culture improved in all area. For a better future, company K analyzed its work-smart outcomes and planned progressively to improve its work-smart efforts based on employees opinions. This case study will serve as a guideline, for companies to make efforts to going forward to today work-smart beyond yesterday smart-work.
As of March 2020, this study divided the applications for young children installed on Android-based smart-phones in Korea into top and bottom groups according to review scores, and selected 30 applications each, conducted content analysis and application evaluation, and looked at differences between groups. Through this, by providing objective information on the smart-phone application for young children, it is intended to help parents and early childhood education professionals select high-quality applications, and to present ideas and directions for developing applications suitable for development to application developers. As a result of application content analysis, only data presentation type, simulation type, and game type were found in all the top and bottom groups as for the application type. There was a difference in order. In the case of app purchase cost, the top group in the review score was evenly distributed from the low price to the high price of 100,000 won or more, while the bottom group had few high-priced applications. On the other hand, as a result of application evaluation, a significant difference was found in the entire evaluation score, including all functional elements and all content elements, between the top and bottom groups of the review score. In the case of detailed sub-factors, significant differences were shown in all factors except 'technicality' of functional elements.

This paper contains the results of developing smart devices and applications to monitor the load power of the industrial manufacturing machine and evaluate its performance. The smart devices in this paper are divided into two functionalities, which are collecting load power along with operating environment data of industrial manufacturing machines and transmitting the data to servers. Load power data collected from the smart devices are uploaded to MariaDB inside the Amazon Web Service (AWS) server. Using the RESTFul API, the uploaded power data can be retrieved and shown on the web and mobile application in the form of a graph to provide monitoring capability. To evaluate the performance of the developed system, the response time from MariaDB to web and mobile applications was measured. The results is ranging from 0.0256 to 0.0545 seconds in a 4G (LTE) network environment and from 0.6126 to 1.2978 seconds in a 3G network environment, which is considered a satisfactory result.

With the development and general use of a variety of Android/iOS-based smart phones and smart pads, the existing e-learning contents need to be changed in such a way that they can be carried out on different smart device platforms. This paper shows what changes are needed for that aim, and, in particular, for the compatibility of different platforms by designing and implementing Android/iOS-based smart learning contents in the form of a hybrid app. This paper will hopefully help you consider what elements are required to develop smart-learning contents on a variety of platforms for mobile devices.

Smart contract, one of the applications of blockchain, is expected to be used in various industries. However, there is risks of damages caused by attacks on vulnerabilities in smart contract codes. Tool support is essential to detect vulnerabilities, and as new vulnerabilities emerge and smart contract implementation languages increase, the tools must have extensibility for them. We propose a design model for extensible architecture of smart contract vulnerability detection tools that detect vulnerabilities in smart contract source codes. The proposed model is composed of design pattern-based structures that provides extensibility to easily support extension of detecting modules for new vulnerabilities and other implementation languages of smart contract. In the model, detecting modules are composed of independent module, so modifying or adding of module do not affect other modules and the system structure.

Recently, many changes have been made to people's life patterns as the technological advances in the ICT industry. The fusion of smart phones and various IT technologies has brought people convenience and welfare. A typical example of such fusion is the smart home. However, the existing smart home systems are difficult to be changed or extended. So we design a new smart home system with extensibility that can easily adopt legacy appliances and be scaled up. Among a variety of smart home features, this paper deals with IoT Devices that are responsible for controlling power or transmitting and receiving sensing values, IoT Gateway that connects users and consumer electronics via Internet, and Smart Home Manager that monitors and controls these components in the proposed smart home system.
