건천화된 농촌소하천의 시·공간적 수문 수질 특성분석 (Temporal and Spatial Analysis of Hydrology and Water Quality in Small Rural Streams for Stream Depletion Investigation)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the temporal and spatial characteristics of the stream flow of small rural streams for investigating the status of stream depletion located downstream of irrigation reservoir. Bonghyun and Hai reservoirs and each downstream were selected for this study. Streamflow was measured for 8 stations downstream from two reservoirs from 2010 to 2012. The water quality samples were collected monthly from the 8 stream stations and 2 reservoir stations from 2011 to 2012. The stream depletion was found in most of the downstream of reservoirs for the non-irrigation period and even in the irrigation period when there were a lot of antecedent precipitation. We found that the stream segments where there were few streamflow, vegetation covers the stream and block the streamflow which makes the stream lost its original function as a stream. Water quality monitoring results of Bonghyun stream indicated that the concentration of SS, Turbidity, TOC, COD were decreased as the stream flows from the reservoir to downstream while the TN and TP were increased. The correlation analysis for water quality data indicated that the correlation between T-N and T-P was high for Bonghyeon and Sukji streams, respectively. Continuous monitoring for rural streams located in downstream of reservoirs are required to quantify the status of stream flow depletion and determine the amount of environmental flows.

소유역의 토지이용에 따른 비점원오염 부하량 (Nonpoint Source Pollution Loadings from Land Uses on Small Watersheds)

  • Nonpoint source (NPS) pollution from small watersheds has recently been brought into attention as a potential pollutant to streams and tnbutaries, as majority of them are experiencing water quality degradation. This necessiates the quantification of NPS loadings from agricultural and forested lands. And this study attempts to quantify daily loadings from forested and farm lands using hydrologic and water quality monitoring. The hydrologic monitoring program consists of five water level gauging stations along creeks and stream at the Banweol reservoir watershed having 1220 hectare in size. Water sam pies were taken and analyzeel periodically at the streamf low gaging sites and tributaries. Soil samples were also taken and the chemical constitutes analyzed. The primary results indicate that the major sources of pollution were small villages and dairy farms on the watersheds, constituting two-third of total nutrient loadings to the reservoir. However, the loadings from paddies and upland areas may cause a problem to the water quality of the reservoir and stream as the measured levels of total nitrogen and phosporus are not low enough to ignore. Further studies are needed to quantify the effects of landuses and treatments at a watershed scale.

서남부지역 수자원의 효율적 이용방안 (A Practical Research for More Efficient Utilization of Water Resources in the South-Western Part of Korea)

  • The south-western part of Korea is situated in an unbalance of water supply and demand relating to the Keum, Mankyung, Dongjin and Youngsan River and their estuary reservoirs. For example, the Keum River estuary reservoir is discharging the larger amount of yearly runoff into the sea due to the small storage capacity, while Saemankeum estuary reservoir which is under construction, has the smaller runoff amount comparing with its storage capacity, And the downstream area of the Youngsan River, such as Youngkwang, Youngam are deficient in water due in larger demand and smaller supply. In order to solve the above unbalanced water supply and demand and also to improve the water use efficiency, the Hierarchical Operation Model for Multi-reservoir System(HOMMS) has been developed and applied to analyze the multi-reservoir operation assuming that the above reservoirs were linked each other. The result of this study shows that 2,148MCM of annual additional water requirement for agricultural and rural water demands are required in this region at 2011 of target year, and these demands can be resolved by diverting and reusing 1,913MCM of the released water from the estuary reservoirs into the sea.

3차원 수리모형을 이용한 농업용 저수지의 파괴확률에 따른 하류부 피해예측 모델 개발 (Development of Downstream Flood Damage Prediction Model Based on Probability of Failure Analysis in Agricultural Reservoir)

  • The failures of the agricultural reservoirs that most have more than 50 years, have increased due to the abnormal weather and localized heavy rains. There are many studies on the prediction of damage from reservoir collapse, however, these referenced studies focused on evaluating reservoir collapse as single unit and applyed to one and two dimensional hydrodynamic model to identify the fluid flow. This study is to estimate failure probability of spillway, sliding, bearing capacity and overflowing targeting small and medium scale agricultural reservoirs. In addition, we calculate failure probability by complex mode. Moreover, we predict downstream flood damage by reservoir failure applying three dimensional hydrodynamic model. When the reservoir destroyed, the results are as follows; (1) the flow of fluid proceeds to same stream direction and to a lower slope by potential and kinetic energy; (2) The predicted damage in downstream is evaluated that damage due to building destruction is the highest.

  • The paper decribes a procedure for the evaluation of the effect of seepage force on stability of slopes. The stability of an embankment impounding a water reservoir is highly depend upon the location of seepage line with the embankment. To evaluate the accurate safety factor of an embankment, it is important to illustrate the seepage phenomenon. Of particular interest is the stability following a rapid change of reservoir level. Seepage forces in embankments are easily determined interest is the stability following a rapid change of resrvoir level. Seepage forces in embankments are easily detemined if frictional forces are expressed in relation to hydraulic gradient I. If a piezometer is inserted into a body of embankment, the level to which fee water rises is a measure of the energy at that point.

실제 상수관망에 대한 모니터링 지점선정방법의 적용 (Application of the Determination Method of Monitoring Location in Real Water Distribution System)

  • In this study, determination methods of monitoring location in water distribution system were suggested and applied to real test bed. Small block of Gwangtan water distribution system is consisted of 582 pipes, 564 junctions, 1 reservoir, and 1 pump station. Small block of Ho Chi Minh water distribution system is consisted of 162 pipes, 148 junctions, and 1 reservoir. Two small block water distribution systems were analyzed by pressure contribution analysis method to determine the optimum monitoring locations. The pressure change was estimated at each junctions by the additional demand at a junction. From the results, the optimum monitoring location can be determined by rank of pressure contribution index at each junctions due to demand change at a junction.

석문호 유역 오염물질 배출특성 분석 및 수질모델링에 기초한 수질개선방안 연구 (Water Quality Improvement Plans based on the Analysis of Pollutant Discharge Characteristics and Water Quality Modelling of Seokmun Reservoir Watershed)

  • 석문호 수질을 가장 효율적으로 개선하기 위한 최적의 방안을 마련하기 위해 본 연구에서는 지류하천의 수질 및 유량조사, 퇴적물 조사, 오염원 조사, 하천그룹화를 통한 중점관리 대상유역 선정을 포함한 다양한 분석을 수행하였다. 석문호 유역의 주요 지류하천은 대부분 BOD농도는 낮은 반면 COD농도는 높은 경향을 보였으며, 역천, 당진천, 시곡천, 백석천, 진관소하천, 장항소하천 등은 수질항목에 관계없이 수질농도가 높은 경향을 보였다. 석문호 유역 내 오염원은 생활계, 축산계 및 산업계가 대부분으로 지역에 따라 다양하게 분포하는 것으로 조사되었다. 석문호 수질개선을 위해 중점관리 대상하천으로 선정된 당진천, 역천, 백석천, 장항소하천 유역 내 위치하고 있는 오염원의 우선적인 저감이 필요한 것으로 판단된다. 석문호 수질개선을 위한 다양한 시나리오별 수질개선효과를 수질모델을 이용하여 정량적으로 평가한 결과, 유역 내 오염물질 배출량 관리를 위해 공공하수처리시설을 신설 및 증설만 하여도 호소 수질 V등급을 만족하는 것으로 나타났다.

시.군 관리 저수지 실태 조사 및 정비방안에 관한 연구 (Survey for the Management of Reservoirs under Control of Local Authorities of Reservoir of City.Gun in Korea)

  • There are many agricultural facilities (46.7%) that have been over 30 years in the Republic of Korea (the ratio of reservoirs built before 1945 is 53%, from 1946 to 1971 is 35%). In the case of reservoirs which do most important functions among these facilities, only 3,000 reservoirs are managed by Korea Rural Community & Agriculture Corporation (KRC) and the other 15,000 reservoirs are managed by local authorities (City and Gun). But, 15,000 reservoirs included in City. Gun have been built in more wide area than KRC and the reservoir management system has not been operated well because of shortage of budget and manpower of the local authorities. Particularly, the abnormal weather happened during every summer season recently has ruined a lot of rural community facilities. So flood control function have been more important than irrigation function in agricultural reservoir system and it may be required to introduce new safe, management and maintenance techniques in City Gun reservoirs. So we investigated landscapes and deteriorations of agricultural reservoirs managed by local small governments for revealing not only present usage but also future value. Survey shows that there are no structural managements except typical hydrological reportings and the deterioration of small darn is very serious. There are needs for more systematic management system and equipment methods. Therefore, this study may suggest that reservoir (that takes charge of the greatest deal of weight in all agricultural facilities) must be considered as new concept of the usage and the unification. On the other hand, reservoir must be also developed as amenity resources, natural circumstances and district values.

토지이용이 이원천 유역의 하천수질에 미치는 영향 (Influence on the Land Use Factors Affecting the Water Quality of Iwonchon Basin)

  • 토지이용이 어떻게 수질에 영향을 주는가를 연구하고자 1993년 3월 부터 1998년 3월 까지 조사를 실시하였다. 조사지는 충북 옥천군 이원면의 경작지가 주류를 이루는 개심저수지와 산지유역으로 특성지워지는 장찬저수지 유역을 대상으로 하였다. 조사유역을 11개 소집수역으로 세분하고 토지이용과 하천수질과의 상관성, 하천 유역의 오염원 동태를 생태학적 관점에서 규명하고자 조사를 실시하였다. BOD, SS, TKN은 하류로 갈수록 높아졌으나 자정 한계를 넘어선 G 소집수역은 예외였다. 장찬저수지 유역은 가두리 양식장 때문에 수질이 악화되어 있는 것으로 나타나 양식장의 폐쇄가 시급한 것으로 조사되었다. .해발표고는 200 m 이하가 개심저수지 유역 56.0%, 장찬저수지 유역 44.0%로 대부분을 차지하였다. 비삼림지역은 전체 조사면적 44.91 ㎢중 14.74 ㎢로 32.8%를 차지하였는데 특히 경작지와 주거지 면적 비의 증가에 따라 총인(Y=0.2023X+0.0991, r=0.54)이 증가되고 있다. 토지이용별 오염 배출원 단위가 수질에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 농경지의 오염부하량은 매우 크며 비점오염물질이 하천에 유입, 유하 하는 동안 물리, 화학, 생화학적, 생물학적 변화를 거쳐 농도가 낮아지고 있다. 그러나 삼림지역의 오염부하량은 농경지의 오염부하량 보다는 상대적으로 작으나 오히려 하천으로 유입, 유하하는 동안 오염 물질의 양이 높아졌다.

최적화기법을 이용한 기존 농업용 저수지에서의 부존 수력발전량 추정 (Optimization Technique for Estimation of Potential Hydroelectric Energy at Existion Ahricultural Reservoir)

  • 기존 농업용 댐에서의 소수력발전 사업은 기존 저수지로부터의 방류량을 효율적으로 이용함으로써 전력의 추가 확보에 기여할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 농업용 댐에서의 부존 수력발전량을 추정하기 위하여 관개용수를 근거로 한 관개수량의 유황, 저수지 발전모의운영 및 비선형계획 모형을 적용하여 기존 농업용 저수지에서의 부존 수력발전량을 추정하였다. 비선형계획법은 소요관개용수 제약조건아래 최대발전량을 찾는 것으로 하였다. 유입량과 관개용수량이 주어진 표본 저수지에서, 채택된 방법 중 최적화 모형의 최적해에 의한 발전량이 가장 많았으며 저수지의 유입량에 관한 발전용수도 최적화 모형이 가장 많이 사용하였음을 알 수 있었다. 저수지 관리수위 상승으로 확보되는 저수량에 따른 발전량의 변화를 분석하기 위하여 연평균발전량을 추정한 결과, 관리수위 증가에 의한 발전량의 증가는 미미함을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제안한 부존발전량 추정 절차와 최적화 모형은 기존 농업용댐의 부존 발전량 추정에 적용할 수 있으며, 소수력발전 사업 경제성분석에 필요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
