This paper is to investigate noise source for reciprocating type air compressors. The reciprocating type air compressors are widely used in the small and medium sized enterprise and many employees are affected and irritated by their noise during working. The investigation and analysis of the noise source were made according to the ISO 1680/1 and MIL-STD 7410-1 and noise evaluation of each part of compressors was made. Noise emitted from the intake and exhaust valve and the air receiver tank were dominant compared with those from other parts of compressor. Noise from the motor and the revolution of crank mechanism was negligible relatively with the noise sources as mentioned above.

This study empirically explored what promotes exploration, through a case analysis of a Korean SME (small and medium sized enterprise), based on the research framework which focuses on the identification and the selection of exploratory NPD (new product development) alternatives, and the accumulation of novel capabilities in new technology domains. The learning process of the exploratory NPD project described is as follows. The identification barrier of exploratory NPD project is relatively low. Constructive crisis is germane to selecting exploratory NPD alternatives and to enduring the long payback period. New separated R&D unit is likely to implement the exploratory NPD project. The length of the gestation period of the exploratory NPD project is related with the level of the conflict between old members and new members. This study identified several antecedents of the exploratory NPD project. Prior success promotes the identification process of the exploratory NPD projects. Constructive crisis is related with CEO's personal characteristics such as future oriented and proactive personality. The proactive involvement and persuasion of CEO are germane to reducing the conflict between old and new members and to the success of the exploratory NPD project. Based on the results, this study discusses several implications and future research directions.

This paper presents a spreadsheet-based reliability prediction simulation framework for the conceptual product design stage to acquire system reliability information in timely manner. During early stage, reliability performance deals with both known and unknown failure rates and component-level and subsystem-level failure estimate to predict system reliability. A technique for performing life testing simulation using Excel spreadsheet has been developed under the such circumstances. This paper also discuss the results obtainable from this method such as reliability estimate, mean and variance of failures and confidence intervals. The resultant of this reliability prediction system is mainly benefitting small and medium-sized enterprise's field engineers.

In the software industry of Korean Small and Medium-sized Enterprise(SME)s, the development process is often not mature. This may lead to failures in quality control and output management. As a result, the quality of the software can be degraded. To solve the problem, the software visualization technique, which is from the National IT Industry Promotion Agency Software Engineering Center can be applied. We have experienced with mentoring not only the visualization of software development process, but also various visualization process of SMEs. However, the existing software visualization method was difficult to install environment and its time cost was high. This paper proposes a software visualization environment through a cloud service along with a case of building a software visualization environment. We expect that this method will make it easier to build a visualization environment and improve the quality of SME software.

The current research utilized as its target population who are current users of global small to medium sized companies in Korea. The research validated the innovative dimensions by studying the two constructs within the context of the SMB user population. Correlation was found between innovative dimensions retained as components of a Comprehensive Model. It was determined that these four dimensions-Content, Intrinsic Interest, Control, and Timeliness-are significant predictors of user success. The Comprehensive Model was validated, and it is therefore suggested as a basis for further study of user success indicators in the innovative manufacturing enterprise environment.

본 연구는 '중소기업에서 내부 환경요인을 통한 Smart Factory의 핵심요인이 경영성과에 미치는 영향'에 대한 실증연구이다. 연구 목적은 Smart Factory 구축이 경영성과에 영향을 미쳐서 회사가 지속 발전하는데 기여하는지 검증하고, 국가적으로 추진하고 있는 Smart Factory 구축 확대 정책에 대해 제언하고자 한다. 절차는 Smart Factory를 구축한 중소제조기업의 실무자를 중심으로 설문을 받아 SPSS와 SMART PLS로 통계 분석하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 기업 내부의 환경요인은 Smart Factory 핵심요인에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, Smart Factory 핵심요인은 경영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 위의 입증을 통해서 기업의 환경요인을 고려한 Smart Factory의 핵심요인은 경영성과에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타나, Smart Factory 구축 성과의 이론적인 토대를 마련했다고 할 수 있다. 향후는 Smart Factory 구축방법 연구를 하고자 한다.

최근 국가경제와 기업의 경쟁력이 불안정한 글로벌 환경에서, 정부는 4차 산업혁명이라고 불리는 스마트공장 구축사업을 중소중견 제조기업 대상으로 적극적으로 적용추진을 하고 있다. 스마트공장이란 ICT(Information Communication Technology)와 생산공정의 융합으로 설비와 시스템간의 통합과 지식 기반의 최적화된 판단으로 제품을 자동 생산하는 체계이다. 본 연구는 기업의 경쟁력을 높이기 위해 성공적인 스마트공장의 추진을 위한 최고경영자의 의지, 정부지원, 외부 컨설팅 그리고 조직참여가 미치는 영향에 대해서 살펴보았다. 연구모형을 통한 실증연구를 하기 위해 스마트공장 구축을 완료하였거나 진행 중인 중소기업을 대상으로 설문지를 배포하여 회수된 101부의 설문지를 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과, 기업의 글로벌 경쟁력 확보를 위한 스마트공장 성공적 구현에 있어서 조직의 참여도가 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 파악되었고, 정부지원, 외부 컨설팅 그리고 최고경영자 의지 순서로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서는, 기업의 경쟁력 제고에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 스마트공장 구축을 성공적으로 실현하기 위해 여러 가지 관점으로 구분하여 도출하였고 이를 검증하였다.

국내의 많은 중소 디자인 기업들은 기업의 생존과 성장을 목표로 독자적 제품 개발 시도하고 있으나, 이에 성공하는 것은 매우 어렵다. 이러한 원인으로는 제품 기획과 관련된 경험의 부족, 디자인 프로세스의 모범사례로 제시되는 대량의 데이터에 기반한 방법론을 중소기업의 현장에서 실천하는데 있어 현실적 어려움이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 중소 디자인 기업을 위한 방법론으로 사용자 참여 프로세스의 유용성을 제시하였다. 또한 실증적 사례연구로서 중소 디자인 전문기업 P사에서 실시한 사용자 FGD 방법을 제안하였다. 사례연구에서 나타난 프로세스는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사용자 FGD로 기존 유아욕조의 문제점 도출. 둘째, 사용자 심층인터뷰를 진행하여 다양한 계층의 사용자 의견을 수집. 셋째, 도출 아이디어를 KJ법으로 분석, 유사 요소로 그룹핑. 이를 통하여 사이즈, 재료, 안전, 기존제품 구매요인, 개선방향, 부가요소의 6가지 디자인 방향 및 세부 디자인 콘셉트를 도출하였다. 본 연구는 디자인 프로세스 중 디자인 방향성 설정 단계에 초점을 두고 진행되었다. 본 연구는 사례연구를 통해 P사의 FGD방법을 통한 중소기업 제품 기획 프로세스의 현실적인 검증성, 통합성, 신속성의 제고를 검증하였다. 이는 자본과 인력이 한정적인 중소기업에서 실행할 수 있는 현실적인 프로세스로서 가치가 있다.

Spatial calibrations have been performed on the Medium-sized Aperture Camera (MAC) of the RazakSAT satellite. Topics discussed in this paper include the measurements of system modulation transfer function (MTF), relative pixel line-of-sight (LOS), and end-to-end imaging tests. The MTF measurements were made by capturing the scanned knife-edge image on a pixel, and an issue in the MTF calculation algorithm is discussed. The method used to place the focal plane at the correct focal position is described, since they make use of MTF measurements. Relative LOS measurements are done by theodolite measurements of the telescope. Qualitative ground test result of end-to-end imaging is given.

This paper was concerned about case study for preventing WMDSs(Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders) by using Thinking Process of TOC(Theory Of Constraints), Unfortunately, the number of WMDSs are rising steadily in auto-part manufacturer. These WMDSs have on worse and worse influence not only on the competition of enterprise but on the life quality of a worker. The research results are helpful to establish the preventing WMDSs and improvement of workplace environments for small-medium sized auto-part company.
