중소병원 간호단위의 간호근무환경이 간호사의 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Unit-level Nurse Practice Environment on Nurse Turnover Intention in the Small and Medium Sized Hospitals)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of the unit-level nurse practice environment on nurse turnover intention in the small and medium sized hospitals. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted using a questionnaire survey with 308 nurses in 38 nursing units of 6 small and medium sized hospitals, having over 200 beds and under 300 beds and located in B metropolitan city. Data were collected from July 20 to August 10, 2011. Data were analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The mean turnover intention in nurses of small and medium sized hospitals was $3.52{\pm}0.53$. Factors affecting turnover intention in the nurses included age, work unit, monthly income, number of night-duties, work hours per day and unit-level nurse practice environment. The unit-level nurse practice environment accounted for 15% of turnover intention when other variables were controlled. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that nurse turnover intention is associated with the nurse practice environment at the unit level. Small and medium sized hospitals can improve nurse retention and lower turnover intention by changing the nurse practice environment of unit, such as creating better support services and nurse participation in hospital affairs.

The Contribution of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Economic Growth of the Southeast Region of Vietnam

  • This research was conducted to check the impact of factors related to the small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) on the economic growth in the Southeast region of Vietnam, over the years from 1996-2019. This paper applies a combination of FEM, DKSE, GMM, and RIDGE-FEM regression methods to estimate the influence of independent variables on the economic growth of the whole Southeast region with the panel data collected from GSO; and applying the OLS regression model for each province. The study finds that all variables have a statistically significant positive impact on the economic growth of the study area. Accordingly, the importance of the variables is in the following order: (1) the proportion of workers by professional and technical qualification (SMEH), (2) the number of vocational training schools (LnTSCH), and educational level of workers (LnSchool), (3) the number of SME enterprises (LnSME); (4) The average number of years in the schooling of employees in the enterprise (LnSchool); (5) Enterprise capital (LnCAP); and (6) the average number of employees of SME (LnSMER). The research results also show that factors related to the quality of labor resources have a more positive influence on growth than both the labor size and financial capital of SMEs.

지방중소도시의 지역발전투자협약 추진체계 구축제언 - 영주시 공공건축가제도를 중심으로 - (A Proposal for an Organizational System that Implements a Planning Agreement in Local Small and Medium Sized City -Focused on System of Architect for Public Work of Yeongju City)

  • This research aimed to propose an organizational system that implements a planning agreement in local small and medium sized city, Korea. To conduct this research, three successful cases were deduced using integration systems to investigate purpose and background of the planning agreement. Articles, reports, media, and participation in meetings and workshops related on this topic are used for collecting data and interview of regional activists and experts, and public officials were carried out. Among them, the case of Yeongju city that used the new integration system instead of pre-adminstration system was examined in detail. There are three local governments; Yeongwol-gun, Jeungpyeong-gun, and Yeongju city which have successfully fulfilled projects from various departments of central adminstration not projects of planning agreement. The similarity noticed between those three cases is to continue various projects from several departments of central adminstration for numerous years and contribute to regional revitalization. A successful factor was to establish organizational system and manage it for the integration plan and performance for appropriate regional and administrative characteristics. In particular, in the case of Yeongju city, organization for urban architectural management composed of civilian experts were formed, authorized status on administrative organization was established, and the function and role were identified. It is helpful to other local governments to carry out the projects of planning agreement as the case of Yeongju city is now a new method.

  • The concept of smart city is understood as an indispensable component of urban regeneration projects in small cities in terms of providing a better urban environment and efficient living systems with a limited budget. Recently, the Korean government revised the law that related to the construction of the smart city and started to implement the smart city concept not only to new-large urban development but also to small-existed regeneration projects. However, it is difficult for small and medium-sized cities that are suffering from the insufficient professional workforce; knowledge supports for high-tech and lack of professional networks to proceed smart city planning and project that containing regional characteristics. This paper aims to examine the effective way of urban regeneration for small and medium-sized cities through smart city planning and strategy. As an important case, this paper looks at the 'Smart City Challenge' competition that was hosted by the US Department of Transportation in 2015. It examines the background and operation process of the smart city challenge competition, and then analyses each city's strategy and characteristics of seven finalists. This paper highlights the several key lessons to Korean cities: 1) the importance of national government's support in financial and professional resources; 2) the cooperation with local governments and IT corporations which provides realistic and detailed technical solutions; 3) the holistic and integrated approach to urban regeneration starting from transportation issues; 4) the necessity of the government's clear visions and guidelines toward the smart city.

일 지역 지방중소병원 간호사의 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 예측요인 (Predictive Factors Influencing Turnover Intention of Nurses in Small and Medium-Sized Hospitals in Daegu City)

  • Purpose: This study was to identify the factors influencing turnover intention of nurses in small and medium-sized hospitals. Method: The participants in this descriptive survey on causal relations were 192 nurses who were working at small and medium-sized hospitals in Daegu city. The data were collected by self-reporting questionnaires and analysed by the SPSS Win 14.0 program using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression. Result: The mean for job characteristics scores were 2.90, the job satisfaction scores were 3.00, the organizational commitment scores were 3.00, job stress scores were 2.42, the turnover intentions scores were 3.08. Turnover intention according to general features were shown as following; age, marital status, clinical career, work schedule type, frequency of night duty. The relationship between turnover intention and job stress had positive correlation. But the relationship between turnover and other factors that job satisfaction, organizational commitment had negative correlation. The causal factors of turnover intention were organizational commitment, job satisfaction, job stress, and job characteristics, frequency of night duty. $R^=.39$. The organizational commitment were the highest significant predictors of turnover intention. Conclusions: The findings of study suggest that broad intention program should be provided to prevent problems of turnover.

A Study on the Mutual Effect between Small & Medium-sized Enterprises and Economic Growth: Evidence from Alibaba Group and City of Hangzhou

  • Purpose - From the advanced path of development and current situation, the development of enterprises plays a tremendous role in promoting national economic growth and raising the overall national strength. Therefore, this paper aims at examining the mutual effect between small & medium enterprises and economic growth. Research design, data, and methodology - In order to address the operating mutual effect between the small & medium enterprises and economic growth more clearly, this paper sets Alibaba Group and Hangzhou as an example. Meanwhile, the annual data from 2000 to 2017 will be employed, and an empirical analysis will be performed under the vector error correction model. Results - The findings display that the total revenue of Alibaba Group has a positive effect on economic growth in city of Hangzhou. However, the Granger Causality test implies that there is only a unidirectional causality between total revenue of Alibaba Group and economic growth in Hangzhou. More specifically, 1% increase in total revenue of Alibaba Group can result in 0.272% in economic growth of Hangzhou in the long run. Conclusions - In summary, for the long run, the local governments should promulgate a series of policies to assist the small & medium enterprises like Alibaba Group to improve the local economic growth as seen in the city of Hangzhou.

지방 중소도시 근린공원의 축제공간적 활용에 관한 연구 (The Study for the Usage of Neighborhood Parks as a Festival Space in Small and Medium Sized Cities)

  • In 2011, neighborhood parks occupied a total area of $280,135,257m^2$ in small and medium sized city areas and this excluded the metropolitan regions. In the rural area, the park area per person($22.64m^2$) is larger than the urban area($9.50m^2$). It is a questionable why there is a higher park ratio in the rural area compared to the cities, where the function of the neighborhood parks is not being utilized well. But, there are already a lot of parks that has been constructed in the rural areas and a lot of money is being spent in maintaining them. Hence, rather than reducing the number of "country parks", it can be suggested that these "country parks" ought to be utilized in a different manner than the parks in the city. In that point of view, this study examined the issues of the country park usage along with the utilization of the local festivals within the parks. Firstly in this context, this study compared the amount of neighborhood parks between small and medium sized cities and metropolitan areas, and analyzed those results. Secondly, daily newspaper articles were collected and categorized to find the usage of the rural park which were then analyzed. Then, the extraction of the essential points in composing the festival space was carried out. Also, the general design guides of making the neighborhood parks were drawn. Last but not least, using these two resources, this study suggested design guidelines for using neighborhood parks as a Festival Space in small and medium sized cities.

중소병원 간호사의 간호 전문직관, 직무만족도 및 이직의도와의 관계 - "I" 시를 중심으로- (Nursing professionalism, Job satisfaction and Turnover intention of nurses in small and medium-sized hospitals - Focused on "I" City)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중소병원 간호사의 간호전문직관, 직무만족도 및 이직의도와의 관계를 파악하기 위해 2011년 10월부터 2012년 6월까지 "I"시에 위치한 100-400병상 규모의 8개 중소병원에 근무하는 간호사 240명을 대상으로 설문조사하였다. 대상자의 평균 간호전문직관 점수는 $3.23{\pm}.44$, 평균 직무만족 점수는 $2.81{\pm}.47$점, 평균 이직의도 점수는 $2.70{\pm}.87$점으로 대상자의 일반적 특성과 직무 관련 특성 중 유의한 차이가 있었던 변수는 연령, 결혼상태, 임상경력, 근무형태, 밤 근무 횟수였고, 대상자의 이직의도는 직무만족과 양의 상관관계, 간호전문직관 과의 관계는 정적인 상관관계를 보였다. 이직의도를 설명하는 주요 변수는 직무만족도, 임상경력, 연령이며, 이중 직무만족도(${\beta}$=.533)가 다른 관련요인보다 가장 영향력이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과 여전히 직무만족도가 중소병원 간호사의 이직의도에 영향을 주는 주요 변수인 것이 확인 되었고, 이로써 중소병원 간호사의 이직의도를 이해하고, 그 수를 줄이는데 있어 중소병원 간호사에 대한 직무 만족도에 관해 계속적으로 연구하는 것이 필요하겠다.

  • Apartments are being established as a universal housing type because of the perception that they are excellent in preservation of asset values and convenience. In this study, through multiple regression analysis, it is a thesis that explores whether it affects the housing market in Gimhae, a small and medium-sized city in the province, and how the price flow in neighboring cities has an effect. It is possible to examine how macroeconomic variables such as the balloon effect and the lowest interest rate caused by the government's tweezers regulation bring about changes in the housing market of small and medium-sized cities in local regions.

  • 본 연구는 한국의 54개 중소도시를 대상으로 압축도시 이론에서 주장하는 고밀개발, 혼합적인 토지이용과 같은 계획 요소들이 실제 대중교통을 이용한 통근 통행에 영향을 미치는지 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 토지이용 변수들 중에서는 인구밀도와 직주균형비가 높을수록 대중교통 통근률이 높아지는 것으로 나타난다. 이와 같은 결과는 압축도시 계획 이론에서 주장하는 바와 같이 밀도 수준이 높아질 경우 대중교통 서비스를 유지하는데 있어 유리하고 또한 토지를 복합적으로 이용함으로써 직장을 포함한 다양한 활동들에 대한 접근성이 높아지기 때문에 자동차 이용이 줄어들고 대중교통 이용이 많아지는 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 대중교통을 이용한 통근 통행을 활성화하기 위해서는 고밀개발과 함께 직주균형과 같은 복합적인 토지이용을 유도하는 도시 정책이 요구된다. 또한 교통서비스 시설들 중에서는 도로 밀도와 지하철 유무가 대중교통 통근률에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타나는데, 이는 대중교통 이용률을 높이기 위해서는 먼저 효율적인 대중교통 서비스의 확충이 전제되어야 함을 보여준다. 따라서 대중교통 통근률을 높이기 위해서는 고밀 복합적인 토지이용 정책의 추진과 함께 지하철과 같은 대중교통 서비스시설에 대한 투자가 함께 이루어져야 한다.
